  4. I wonder what is going on at the Lagos Embassy! My interview date was originally the 1st of October, but I received an email today saying to disregard my previous interview date and that another date will be scheduled at a later time, but they never stated what the new interview date would be. This is crazy, these people can't be that backed up! Welll there goes our hopes for a October interview down the drain!

There are issues with the Lagos Embassy,They should be Happy viewing those that want a better Lifestyle and GRANT THEM THIER VISA!! :crying:

  5. Hi everyone. Not good news here. My fiance had his interview today at the Lagos Consulate. He was put in Admin review. Now, he read me the letter and he didnt read a reason just that was under review and they would email or call him within a few weeks to a month after they complete the review. He is going to scan me the letter later after he gets closer to home. But I do want to share this with you guys what royally pissed me off (sorry). We met through a friend of mine whose is married to a guy there, who is Abbey's friend. Long story short, we no longer communicate with the couple as they caused some issues in the past and we decided it was best that we dont associate with them. It was related to stupid childish issues such as jealousy on my former friends part related to my relationship with Abbey versus her's with her husband. Anyway, I know they filed a few years ago and was denied and they wouldnt really tell us why. Only something about a co-sponsor for financial reasons. So, today the officer asked Abbey who Brenda was (my former friend). He told him who she was, the one who we met through. He then asked Abbey was her husband in the states yet. Abbey told him he doesnt think so as they were having some type of problems with filing. Then the officer asked him if we decided to get married because they got married. WHAT THE?!?. These people were married way before we even met, by at least a couple of years. And their relationship should have absolutely no bearing on ours. People cant meet through a friend anymore? Should I have lied on my I129 when it asked how we met? Should I have said the net? What kind of craziness is this? The officer didnt even ask Abbey to see any of our pics, emails, phone records, chats. The only question he asked him about us was I married before and Abbey told them yes I was married before. The officer then just gave him a peice of paper regarding the Admin review. I have contacted my senators office who helped me before when my case was at USCIS. They are going to check into this.

Has anyone ever been put on Admin Review in Lagos and came out a winner so to speak. My head is pounding so hard right now. Im so frustrated. I tried to call the Embassy and of course they never answer the phone.

Looks like we on on Admin review no matter what the case may be , I feel you .

  7. When my husband was waiting for the date of his second interview after AP, I wrote the embassy once a week for an entire month and the only response I ever got was the auto response. I had eight phone numbers that I could try, all of which were never answered. I even tried their fax number which never picked up the fax. The way I finally found out the date of the interview was to call Department of State. They have access to what is going on with your case.

    Good luck!

Thanks For your Help, I have Did all of those that you mentioned,i was told by the Visa Office the his packet #was mailed out on July22, Still waiting, Again Thanks!!

  8. Me and another lady are waiting as well for our fiance's interview date. My fiance went to the embassy today and was told that due to the construction (there reason for the July 1st change) that they havent assigned any new interview dates. He told them he has emailed them several times without a response. The officer he spoke to advised him that they will be contacting him soon via email. I do know of one other lady whose fiance got his interview date right before the change and she received a email over the weekend advising her of her fiances interview date. This shows I think they are working on getting them out to us. Lets just keep praying they will contact us soon with the date.

 Thanks For That , Keep in touch .. We Are So Well Blessed !! :star:

  9. Please can the organisers move this to the African sub-forum where she will get more help.

To the OP: Your Fiance should have gone to pick his packet 3 up from the Lagos Embassy but since he hasn't done that, my advice would be for you to email them to know the next step since they changed that rule 1st July. The mail service in Lagos is not reliable except it's a private mail box( I grew up in Lagos). Now they send packet 3 out to beneficiaries address and there are some areas in Lagos where I don't think mails get delivered to but your Fiance might not live in one of those.

And you don't get married within the 4 months approval notice period but 90 days from when your Fiance enters the US once he is issued a K-1 visa. Don't worry about the time, just start gathering all the documents he will need for the interview and he needs to get police reports and his long style birth certificate from the local government. You need to get pro-active to avoid any issues.

Those who have gone through Lagos will be in a better position to advice you though.

    All the best.

Thanks ! :star: I have sent e-mails, to Lagos Post No replys, Tried calling the phone it is a terrible mess, My Fiance doesn't live in Lagos that in Post for the Visa actions, he lives in Imo State Nigeria, Again I appreciate your help, I Hope & Pray others as you mention with lagos experience can give advice as well , Much Love To You, We Are Blessed!!
