  1. Mine were. i think its supposed to be all numbers. You know that this is the red number on your visa right?

Thanks. I know it is the red number (only because of your post, so thanks again), but the number on the visa overlaps with the expriation date and definitely looks more like a C than a 0. I do appreciate the feedback because I would hate for a wrong number to delay the process.

  2. Thanks TracyTN.

If I planned ahead (maybe recommended for anyone else) I could have collected an extra form on a return to the US and then mailed (or hand delivered) a filled out version for the eventual entry. One less thing for the fiancee to worry about.

Instead, I will use the sample and send her a pdf that she could use as a reference when filling out the real deal.

    Thanks again.

  3. I am going through this with my fiancee as well. She has a layover in Tokyo and it is only 90 minutes. I told her to ask questions immediately and someone will eventually help you. I believe the most important thing is to have some confidence so that you do go and ask questions when it can not be figured out - so I am being very positive and telling her that she will be able to do this well.

My bigger concern than the stopover in Japan is any forms that need to be filled out when arriving in the US. Her english is good enough to ask questions to help her with the stopover problem, but not likely going to be good enough to fill out a customs form.

Does anyone know exactly what forms someone with a K-1 visa will have to fill out? If that form is on the internet, maybe I can fill it out beforehand and she can copy it on the original when she gets it.

    Thanks!
