  1. Hi everyone,

I have seen the add for makemytrip but i don't know if it is valid company. Anyone bought ticket from them and if so please share your experience. We have a family emergency and would like to travel ASAP via Air India. I will be flying from New York (JFK) to Delhi and would like a direct flight.

Also anyone know of a good travel agency in New England area?

    Thank you,

    Tashi

  2. I am not a law expert nor professional in this field but I thought K1 is only valid for ONE entry. That means, she has already used this one-time entry when she came into the country to apply for AOS. Now AP, from my understanding is what you apply while your visa is pending... So I thought that leaving without waiting for approval means abandoning the petition. I can be wrong. But anyway, I think you should consult with other lawyer/professional than your current one to see what they think about the situation. Good luck

That is my understanding too. Kensue, I think you should really get to the buttom of this. Good luck!!

  3. Hey Pattu,

You are right about traveling from India to Nepal they don't need anything however when you are going from abroad you are required to have a visa.

Sorry I have not been on VJ in a while - what a change!!! It will take some time to get used to the new look... :)

Anyway, Govi and I are planning on taking a vacation in India in May-June and he still has the 2yr conditional GC. I went on the USCIS website and it doesn't look like he will have any problems coming back to the US, but I am wondering if he will need an India visa - as a USC I definitely do. He has a Nepali passport and normally Nepalis can enter India without a visa, however he was telling me some friends(Nepali LPRs) have had problems entering India without a visa.

  4. What you need to do is go to a Civil Surgeon and bring your vacination record from back home. The surgeon will fill it a form for you and will seal it and do ask for a copy for you to keep. :-) Ours cost $200.00 but it depends where you live too. Here is the website to find civil surgeons near you. https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=of...office_type=CIV Good Luck!!

i came here to USA on K-1 fiance visa.i had my medical exam and x-ray done before my visa interview in my country(pakistan).vaccinations were not included becoz they said u dont need vaccination now.i came here and i applied for Adjustment of Status.now i got an RFE letter.i quote as it is on letter

"you have indicated that you last entered as K non-immigrant.please submit a properly completed and signed copy of the medical exam conducted overseas on form DS-2053.

If you do not have a completed form DS-2053.please submit a properly completed and signed form I-693,report of medical examination and vaccination record.the medical exam must be conducted by a civil surgeon who has been designated by USCIS and must be issued within one year of filing form I-485"

so i am confused that do i need to have my full medical done or just vaccination.before visa issuance when my medical was done, they gave me sealed envelope which i sent to embassy later.so how can i proof of my medical done overseas.though i still have my x-ray cd with envelope.so guys please help me in this matter.

  5. Given the problem from last year, I think you should deff go there. It might give the CO a peace of mind just to know that you are around and also to your wife. My prayers are with you guys. Good Luck!!

My fiancee has received her interview date end of this month at New Delhi. Ours is a second-time (refiled) K-1 petition. The first K-1 was refused last year (after being in AP for several months) as the CO was not convinced about our relationship. Since then I had visited India and spent several weeks with my fiancee and her family. We have addressed and made up for any deficiencies that may have been there in our first petition -- our refiled I-129F petition was over 3.5 pounds with tons of photos and documents, bills, affidavits etc. etc.

    My question is:

Since New Delhi is a high risk (high fraud) consulate, I had emailed the embassy about my willingness to travel to Delhi and be present for the interview along with the beneficiary. Their reply says that due to a large volume of visa applications they receive, they will not be able to meet with any one else other than the beneficiary.

    What should I do?

Many have suggested the importance of being there for the interview with your beneficiary especially at New Delhi consulate, but how does it help if they do not let me in or don't talk to me.

    Any suggestions please?
