Hi today was my interview at 26 federal plaza new york city.everything went well i passed the English and civics test went through n400 form with the officer and then he handed me over n652 checked A decision cannot yet be made about your application.you will get decision in mail..

does anyone knows how long it takes to get the decision in mail any idea??the officer told me there is something wrong with his computer he can not access my file on his computer and that's why he need to look at my file before making a decision.

i am just frustrated...will they send me decision and oath letter same time or first decision then oath letter and how long it takes in ny field office?

Which part of New york havr you applied from robhinio? Also, did you receive any email/text regarding the interview date? I am within the NYC area and wondering when I'll receive any update.

Hi guys finally i received the text and email that case has been updated went online to check status.this is what it says.

On November 26, 2012, your N400, APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION was scheduled for interview. You will receive a notice with a time and place for your interview. If you have not received the notice within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance. If you move, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address.

hi guys today i received a letter subject says:Pre interview cas file Review it says.

prior to forwarding your case for interview,USCIS has performed a complete review of your file and application for naturalization.as a result of that

review,we have identified additional documentation may be needed.we recommend that you bring the documents listed below to your naturalization interview to limit any potential delays that might result if needed documents are not available at interview.in the event additional documentation is required,you will be advised during your interview.

the listed documents in this letter is they asked me to bring two passport size photos.that's it.the new york field office is closed all long this hurricane week.do you guys think its gonna delays our case who are living in new york city?? any idea.

Do you have tax returns (transcripts), any utility bills? If you worked, W2s should show your address.You say that you did not have anything joint till Jan 2011, but do you have anything after? Bank accounts? Lease? Any kind of insurance? How about greeting cards from friends or family? Any photos? These are only some ideas.

i have joint lease joint bank statements tax transcripts and utility bills but from jan 2011.no cards or photos.

Here we are discussing ONLY about the citizenship. N-400 application. Specially this thread. For N-400 you do not have to show any joint document. Good luck.

i am N 400 applicant and i applied for naturalization at the basis of marriage to a USC.i think thats why i need to show something joint/.

i have a question i got here in september 2009 and from that till jan 2011 i dont have anything joint with my wife.we used to live in a basement apartment so no joint lease and i didnt have joint bank account too that time either.but my removing of conditions phase went ok i got approved without any RFE or interview.so now do i need joint proof for that period for my interview or not.if i do what should i do to cover that get some affidavit of people etc or something else.any suggestion would be appreciated.thanx.

I got a new USCIS e-mail this morning: my application was placed in line for interview scheduling too on 31st Aug!)

ya i just called them and they said we send iit to the uscis on 08/03 on the same day that great, but i for got to tell you that one part( finger prints) there are 2 part more which is name check and the public inquiry hopefully that will be done soon....

what does it mean publice inquiry do they ask people about the person or something else?
