  1. Hi,

I assume that question 15 (name and address of present employer) is for my beneficiary, correct? What should I put down if she has more than one job?

On a related note, should she (my beneficiary) put down a job even if it's not in the US?

I put my (petitioners) information. Looking at it again, I suspect this was a mistake but I didn't get busted for it.

Probably if she is not in the US they don't care where she works. If it were US they might look into the legality of emploment etc.

To be complete you could just fill out all jobs and use a seperate sheet for continuation if there isn't room on the form.

Make it clear this is not US based, include the country of employment.

Later forms (such as G-325) will go more deeply into foreign employment history etc.

  2. Hi,

My wife has her interview on 20 August in Guangzhou.

Well, her instruction packet didn't inlude the requirment for form GIV-24, but her friend told her she needed it.

She called the consulate and they confirmed she needed it!

So now we are filling it out, does anyone have the instructions or know how Question 7 differs from Question 6?

(There is an online instruction link, but its broken)

Are there any more forms she may need?

I expect this will go well and she probaly has way more stuff than she could need.

So, bonus question - how does she get an SSN? We need that ASAP so she can apply for a learner permit.

    Thanks

  3. I beleive they only ask questions from the cards. They only asked me 2 questions and they were right from the cards.

If you know the card questions you will be fine. They also asked me to write a simple sentence "The White House has a big tree" - the sentences vary but are not hard. The whole interview took under 5 minutes.
