Well, still waiting on the letter for our interview date, but found out it was 12/1 from the Embassy via email...we tried to make a medical exam today but were only able to have 11/30 as the earliest (the day before)...will this be an issue? Are they able to deliver the blood tests that quickly?

I recieved the letter from NVC, confirming they recieved my I-129F petition, on 10/24/09. Since then, I have tried several times to check the status by calling NVC 603-334-0700. The automated system keeps telling me that they have not recieved the package. I am using the receipt number (beginnig with EAC) provided in the letter FROM the NVC, so how can their system say they don't have the package. I figure 2 weeks is more than enough time for something to have been recieved and even shipped to the consulate in Morocco.
Does anyone have any advice? thanks!
The automated system doesn't let register the K1's from what I understand...just hit 1 then 5 to speak to a representative, they will definitely be able to tell you the status. Good luck!

Your tax dollars at work....
Joshie and I recently received our letter from the NVC and Packet 3 from the US Embassy in Bogota....with a TYPO in her last name! They have placed an "s" where a "z" should be. All forms were typed and triple checked, the typo was not on our side...meaning their data entry clerk plain out wasn't paying attention when entering her information into their system. Her name is correct at the USCIS. My question is, NOW WHAT? Technically, I'm now petitioning to marry a person that doesn't exist. That is ridiculously irresponsible on the part of the NVC. Regardless, has anyone experienced this and/or know how to solve this issue?

Hey everyone! Is it just me, or does the waiting get worse once you know you are close? I've always called it the Christmas Eve Syndrome...remember what it was like when you were a child on Christmas Eve, lying in bed trying to sleep when you knew that there would be a tree full of presents the next day? You didn't want to shut your eyes because you knew you were so close! Man, I have it bad right now hahahah come on interview date! Good luck everyone!

Just out of curiosity, which question of the DS-156 requires a school address? Is the school her employer?
(DS-156 is used at the embassy/consulate stage - moving to Embassy and Consulate Discussion forum)
Great news! Thanks for the help everyone! As for your question, if he/she is a student, they ask for the school under the employer section.

Hello all,
Just a quick question...I was fillling out my fiance's DS156 in the online form format given on the Embassy's web page. For anyone who is familiar, you type into a database type form online and after choosing accept, it produces a document for you with a barcode on the final page (assumably, meaning they file it). Unfortunately, I forgot to put the address of my fiance's school on the form. So, my questions are:
- Can I create a second DS-156? What happens with the old one if I do?
- Who do I contact to cancel the original?
- Will the school address matter?
- Can I just write it on the form?
- Any other thoughts?
Hope someone else has done the same and can help. Thanks!

Hello all, hope the process is going well
Can anyone advise how/where to obtain a translated birth certificate (from Spanish to English) in Barranquilla or around it? Thx
HEY SEÑOR EXTRANJERO!!! YOUR FIANCEE NEEDS TO CONTACT A CERTIFIED TRANSLATOR IN BARRANQUILLA. YOU CAN CONTACT THIS USER AND SHE HAS THE NAME OF A GUY THAT DOES THAT THERE.
HER NAME IS BRILLIT AND YOU CAN FIND HER HERE http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=35410. YOUR FIANCEE CAN WRITE TO HER AND IM SURE SHE WILL BE MORE THAN WILLING TO HELP YOU.
TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK WITH THE REST OF THE PROCESS.

Thanks! And good luck with your upcoming interview....should have our date by end of month!

Hi all, I have a question....
My NOA2 was mailed on 9/29/09 but I have yet to receive it...don't think I ever will. I'm under the assumption it was lost in the mail (..................). I cannot file for a new copy for another 2 weeks and our paperwork is at the NVC...meaning I might not receive it before our interview. Is the NOA2 used for anything? Anyone who can help, please let me know...I'm worried we might be denied for not having the paper...

..........
ugh, never ends with this stuff. The VSC sent my NOA2 on 9/29...I'm in NJ, should have been here days ago...now what do I do? How do you get another one sent? Anyone have advice? Worst part is, NVC just entered my paperwork...I gotta get rollin! ARGH!

I received my email on 9/29 and just got the hard copy yesterday, 10/5. I live in the DC area. I guess you can expect your hard copy today.
I'd like to know about NVC as well.. I tried calling the number and all I got were busy tones.
I got busy tones for hours yesterday as well, but keep trying...eventually you'll get through...

Actually, 2 questions...
I received my email on 9/30, no hard copy of the letter yet...I live in NJ, by regular mail times, it should have been here on last Friday...anyone else having this issue?
Also, has anyones paperwork been sent to the NVC? I hope hope hope hope HOPE the speed up at the VSC doesn't cause a giant slowdown at the NVC...as everyone knows, this waiting stuff is for the birds
Well, congrats to everyone who passed through! Good luck everyone at the NVC...
