  1. Hey i869, Phill told me you were the guy he chatted with today while waiting! He enjoyed talking with you! :)

    Oh no, the fingerprint machine wasn't working then either! :lol: Sounds like Claire had the same people Phill did. Glad she made it through the interview okay and got the approval!

    lol no i869 was White shirt and suit guy, I was asleep on other side i870, I kept an eye on all the i numbers coz waiting is fun!

    I wasn't sure it was phill until I came on here and saw your pic

    Got home from London this morning, only 18 hours late, some people had been waiting nearly 72 hours!

    I'm never going to London for a visa again!

  2. JUST HEARD FROM PHILL!!!! We are APPROVED! Please add a red twinkling star by our name!! I'm shaking I'm so excited!

    lol I seen phill there, he was i868 if I remember correctly, he got approved about 10 minutes before me

    still stuck in London :-( I now hate London, back to gatwick in 5 hours to check in for a 7th flight in 3 days, eventually 1 has to take off ... Right?

    I'll write an interview review when I finally get home

  3. Fingers crossed for you but I'm sure you both don't need it :)

    APPROVED!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!

    Please add one of those red flashy stars by our name :-)

    Can't even begin to express how excited we are!! Thank you, everyone, for your help and support! Now if we can just get Craig home from London, with the flights being cancelled....

    I'm sure Craig will login soon to post his embassy review...

  4. Aaaaahhh the waiting is killing me! Craig is at his interview now, haven't heard from him yet. Don't think I slept even a wink last night. It's amazing he even made it to his interview with all this crazy weather.. Crossing my fingers, I'll let everyone know asap how the interview went.

  5. Anyone know what the embassy does in cases of inclement weather? Craig is flying in from Belfast tomorrow evening for our Thursday interview, and we're worried that either the flight will be delayed/ cancelled, or that the embassy could close. Which would stink, since we've already purchased his airfare. I'm hoping that if by chance he's a bit late, they won't make him reschedule.

    Also- with the embassy taking his passport at the interview, how does he go about traveling back to Belfast with no ID? Will the airlines accept his drivers license in place of his passport as identification?

    Thanks all, happy new years!!

  6. I'm in almost the same position, but on the day before. My interviews at 9am and I've also gotta fly in from Belfast, i'm thinking about phoning them and asking for a different appointment time more around 1030 so I can fly in and out on same day, same as the medical. I'm not that bothered if it means changing the day, I'll prob give that a go tomorrow and see how it turns out.

  7. My interview is at 9am on Jan 7th (Texas Day), I wonder if I contact them will they be able to move me to another time more around 1030-11am. Meaning I can fly in from Belfast on the first flight in the morning and make it in time, rather than having to fly in day before and stay in a hotel. To re-schedule appointments do you have to phone or email the embassy? Has anyone had any experience with this?

  8. Our P3 was delivered on Nov 12th also, DOS said we were eligible for an interview on 11/19, still no interview date as of yet, but was able to check medical off the list as of today :-)

    Poll: How many people are waiting for an interview in London,

    and when did they "receive" your packet 3 response?

    Claire and Troy........P3 delivered 11/09 - DOS says eligible for interview 11/20

  9. Just had my medical in Bentinck mansion. Woke up at around 5am to fly over from Belfast to Gatwick, got the express to Victoria then underground to oxford circus. Took a leisurely walk to find it, its pretty easy to find with the map and iphone out, was way too early so decided to walk over to US embassy too just to have a look. Anyways, when I arrived the buzzed me in, took my questionnaire, passport, passport photo and vaccination records. No other people were in at the time, nice and happy atmosphere, they seemed to be wrapping up Christmas presents while I waited. Came out and gave me my passport back and asked me to fill in top half of a new questionnaire and sign HIV test form, handed it in and off to the x-ray guy who was also very chatty and nice. Did my Mick Jagger pose while holding the thing behind my back and holding my breath, top back on, back to a new waiting room. Sat there for like 2 mins, in comes the young lady doctor and takes me into the office. Went over my questionnaire with me so I could say no no no no no, signed my photo and some other form. Advised me I would need tetanus booster and MMR, told her I'd get GP to do it. She then asked me to sit on the bed and read the chart with each eye, then the throat (say aaaaaaa) exam and pupil flashy light exam, then blood pressure test and stethoscope action followed by some abdominal checking then pop quick look, male it is. Then she chatted away to me while she found a vein and took the blood, plaster on, good to go. Went out and paid the £190 and the receptionist said the results would be with the embassy shortly and if I had any questions just to give her a call.

    My appointment was at 12:50, I went inside at about 12:30 and I was back outside again by 1:20. Receptionists were friendly and told me everything I think I would need to know. The X-Ray guy was chatty and got it done pretty fast. Finally, the doctor was professional and personable. Like most people I'm not a fan of needles, but the Dr just took my mind off it. by asking me questions.

    So off I went to walk around London coz my flight didn't leave until 8pm.

    :-)

  10. Called the Visa people today! They said the Packet 3 was received and we are eligible for an appointment! I will be calling Monday to see if its scheduled!

    That is our status as well. I believe our P3s got there the same day as yours.

    Dave has been putting in tons of hours and handling a lot of stressful projects at work. His medical is in a few days and he has come down with a horrible cold. :crying: I am praying that he gets over it this weekend and that he can pass with flying colors. I hate being so many thousands of miles away and not being able to do anything when he's not feeling well. We'll know soon if he will be well enough to go by Sunday I hope!

    Hey, mine was logged 2 days ago too, which number do you call for appointment dates DoS or embassy?

  11. This thing has me scratching my head... The link to the embassy above states:

    To substantiate the information regarding income and resources the sponsor should attached two or more of the following items to the affidavit.

    notarized copies of his or her latest federal income tax return;

    a statement from his or her employer showing salary and the length and permanency of employment;

    a statement from an officer of a bank regarding his or her account, the date the account was opened and the present balance;

    any other evidence adequate to establish financial ability to carry out his or her undertaking toward the applicant for what might be an indefinite period of time.

    So, If I'm providing the bank letter, letter from employer, and almost 2 months in paystubs, would that not be enough, according to the "at least two of the four items" requirement?

    Thoughts?

  12. Getting tax returns from the IRS, even if it's only one years worth, would be a complete pain in the ... to get. So I'm trying to avoid it if I can. If only the i134 is required, I don't see anywhere on the instructions form that asks for tax returns for someone who is not self employed. I know that it's a requirement for the I864. For some reason, though, everyone who sends i134 includes it, and I can't find any evidence to support that it's required.

  13. Hello fellow VJ'ers... I've read through lots of threads on here, and am finding conflicting information in regards to the AOS.

    1.) We haven't yet gotten P3 (waiting on the London Embassy to input that they've received a hard copy of our file.) The electronic transmittal went through last week from NVC to London Embassy. From what I can gather, the links provided on VJ to the K1 packet 3 state that an AOS is needed. They don't, however, specify if an I-134, or an I-864, is needed. We're trying to be proactive, and gather the required documents to send in. So, question is... For the London Embassy, is an I134, or I864 required?

    2.) The answer to #1 may shed some light on this one. If an I134 is required, are tax returns required? My income is well above the required 125% of poverty requirement. I'm providing a bank letter with all info required of it listed on I134, a letter from my employer listing my salary, and 3 most recent pay stubs.

    Thanks in advance for everyone's help, if I've posted in the wrong forum, please move :-)
