You were either born in the US or were naturalized. If you were born here, you dont have to fill in the rest of Question 1.
If you were naturalized, you have to have a naturalization certificate.

Why not have her apply to a school? Once she is accepted, she can apply for a F-3 student visa.
Couple of links that may help.
-
Definitely apply for it. You never know when you may need it. And the AoS fees include the AP anyway.
-
We did travel using the AP while the AOS was being processed. Do you have the Advance Parole? That should be sufficient to travel back to Brazil. We had applied in July 2009 and got the GC in Feb 2010. And we were in CSC too.

My condolences on your father's passing away.
I can only comment on one of your queries.
Being there of course is a major plus (that's what the USCIS officer who interviewed us said). Because I was there, he didn't spend too much time since just my being there said a lot. And we had a LOT of photos, travel itineraries, phone bills to prove that we met often and spoke daily.
That being said, it doesn't matter a lot. I had gone for the interview, but we met some applicants whose fiancees were not there and it did not matter. Their applications were approved as well. And your fiancee can always show that you weren't there only because you couldn't take more time off due to your father's death.

Carried the expired GC and extension letter. The airline staff didn't check the dates or the letter. USCIS saw the GC and letter. FYI - We didn't have the I-551 stamp on the passport.
We didn't go to Asia, but it should be a problem. We just got back last week from Mexico. We had a copy of the marriage certificate as well but not the original.

Timelines on visajourney are showing that May/June filers to VSC are currently getting GCs

Don't know about entry into Canada. US Green card holders don't need a visa to visit Canada but they may not have a problem with the Green Card with the extension letter.
Entry into the US is not an issue. We just got back from Mexico. Had an expired green card and the extension letter (no I-551 stamp on passport)

I know people have given TBD and in Part 4 (Information about your proposed travel) put it as In case of emergency travel during the Adjustment of Status process.
We had given a date 4 months from the application date as we did want to undertake a trip.
-
I had the same issue. I gave my parents address. Just before my fiancee came here, I got a new place and while filing for the AOS, gave my new apartment as the address since I had just moved in there.
I didn't have any issues due to the address during the K-1/AOS process.

While entering the country on K-1, my fiancee(now wife) was told not to leave the country till she got her AP or GC.
If I were you, I would make the trip either before your fiancee enters the US or after she gets her AP/GC.
We have made a few trips on AP but the time at the POE takes longer (something to keep in mind incase you have a connecting flight soon after landing at the POE).
-
It shouldn't hurt her case. My wife's student visa was denied (but that was 8 years before I applied for K-1 for her) and during the interview they didn't even ask us about it (or photos etc)
They did mention that since I was present during her interview, that in itself was a big factor for them to judge that the relationship was real.

Can I still get an RFE? How long after the transfer to CSC is there normally an interview.
Thanks
We got an RFE for 693 after the case was transferred to CSC, but didn't have an interview to get the GC. As Bobby+Umit said, your mileage may vary.

did you try calling the civil surgeons mentioned in the thread Civil Surgeons who don't rip you off?
-
confuse, do you have all your vaccinations? (If so, then it should be cheaper)
Also, have you tried telling them that you need only the vaccination supplement filled?
Was the TB test done when doing the medical for K-1?
-
To try to get the processing done quicker. If they have the biometrics, they might get the EAD/AP processing quicker. (I don't know if it works or not though).

Take a look at the thread:
http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...75&start=75
They have a few civil surgeons in there who don't rip you off.

New Jersey:
Dr. Marciano A Tiu Figueroa, Jr
North Hudson Community Action Corporation Health Center at Hoboken (Family Practice)
124 Grand Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030
(201) 795-9521
Cost: Co-pay ($10) for full medical
CBP & USCIS lost my wife's medical (done in Canada).
Dr. Figueroa's office said that the medical comes under annual physical and since my wife was on my health insurance, it cost us only our copay to get the entire medical done again. (vaccinations had already been done, so if you need that done, or don't have insurance, the costs might be higher)
Dr. Figueroa did not charge anything extra for filling the forms. *
*Again, your mileage may vary depending upon what all is needed and your insurance plan.

Thanks guys.
The medical was less than 1 year old when I applied for AOS. I will ask the doctor to fax the document if possible.
Hope the complete medical does not have to be done again.

Hi,
My wife entered from Canada on a fiancee visa and thus had done her medical there.
We got an RFE for a 693. We had the vaccination portion completed by the civil surgeon and submitted that.
Today we got another RFE saying that The U.S Department of State medical forms DS-2053, DS-3024, DS-3025 and DS-3026 are not in any of those records. And the entire medical has to be redone.
Is there anyway we can get around this?
Thanks,
Shri

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience of going to a Civil Surgeon in NYC/NJ and not shelling out $200-$300 for the physical?
My wife came in as a fiancee from Canada and did her physical there in April of this year.
(I have left a message for Dr. Arnold in TX, but I want to find out other options if sending the docs over will take time).
Thanks for your help.

You don't have to have travel plans. You can just put in TBD.
-
i guess its normal , but DID YOU GET AN EMAIL SAYING APPROVAL NOTICE SENT ?
No. The approval notice came for the AP. The two card production notices came for the EAD.
-
Yes, its normal to get duplicate notifications for EAD. We got 2 notifications 5 days apart and the card 5 days after the second notification.
