  1. susita is right, tell her to go pick up the packet, there is a lot of information she has to get and you too, good luck and if need some help in lima, i can help you guys giving you directions!

one more thing, if a medical exam is requested, get the packet from the embassy because its required the letter from the embassy to get the medical examination, another thing, if she was born in other city than lima, just in case get a birth certificate from wherever she is from and get it legalized at RENIEC, they other stuff is easy and fast to get only if its similar to k1 visa, good luck again.

  2. I went to the embassy last week on friday, the consular officer took all originals and I offered her the copies too, she said she didnt need the copies, then I told her in packet 4 the directions or instructions say this, and showed her the instructions, she said, "well, I need the originals" BTW, you dont need anything translated in the us embassy in lima peru. Anyway, the interview was very easy, I went by myself and did good, the only thing I didnt agree with the consular officer was about the certificates, she kept them anyway and I asked her if I was probably gonna get them back the moment i pick up my passport on DHL, she said "probably, I dont know, but you´re gonna receive another packet with some other information" I´m also concerned about it, I´m from piura, and I got my birth certificate, legalized by RENIEC and certified by MINISTERIO DE RELACIONES EXTERIORES, just in case, the last one is not necesary. I´ll tell you what happened this thursday that I pick up my passport from DHL.

If somebody else have some information about it... keep posting.

one more thing for everyone, people at the us embassy in lima peru is great, the 4 times i went there to ask for a visa they were great!

  3. first of all, are you 100% sure it is TB (TBC) did you ask the place the medical exam was 100% sure, if you can afford the X-RAY, get them done again in the same place... work on it, be positive, and by now just calm down, and calm her down. its just an advice, I´d do it if I were you. after that just call the embassy and ask about it, they will tell you what to do if the resoults are possitive.

    God bless Claudia and you.

  4. i am just curious is there some sort of cover letter that comes with the paperwork from the embassy to the beneficiary reporting that the case was approved at uscis and explaining the next steps of the procedure? do they receive a copy of noa2? thanks.

yes, they explain you everything, step by step, it´s easy, in my case it was and tomorrow I have my interview, try to get all they ask you to bring, I´ve heard from other that if you have something missing, then you have to send it to the embassy(DHL)... you don´t wanna do that, do you? Get mentally ready, good luck

  5. it would help if she asked to sit as close to the front of the plane as possible.... if she is at the back of the plane, all those mo foos in front of her get to the line first and since this is an international flight the plane is usually very big so possibly 400 people in front of her.... yeah, it is true that all those people aren't going to the new immigrant line but those that are are ahead of her.

first ones out of the plane are the first in line.

    What is mo foos?

you don´t want to know that

  6. I wanna describe some things I went through to get the paperwork listed on the packet from the embassy. I lived in Lima for many years but I hated going downtown because I like quite places... after I recieved the packet, I went downtown many times to get all the paperwork and in the case of my birth certificate I went to "Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores" to get it legalized just in case, not really needed "I think". Now I know downtown, good time to drive around there and see how the city where I lived is before I leave, and buildings are great :)

BTW I was born in Piura, but never lived there :(, but I lived in other cities around Perú. Anyway, I also went to Aramburú to get the "Police Certificate" it was very easy, I mean everything was very easy but the Military Records were not... I was lucky my parents were on vacation in Máncora-Piura, so they got my birth certificate and I just had to go to RENIEC and Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores to get it legalized... Medical Exam, damn easy but the hard part doing this was the vaccinations, the afternoon after the vaccinations was bad, a horrible headache and I was very sleepy. Monday 26, I have everything on hand (after the horrible experience of the mail send by my fiancée) and I have to get mentally ready for the interview, I´m gonna bring everything I have in mind and paperwork they requested for, I went before to the embassy (three times so I know it like the back of my hand) and succeeded but it was a different kind of visa, now I know I´m gonna be questioned and I just have to do my best, I´m nervous I can tell but, I just want it to be friday! everything was easy untill now but, having my dear Ola far away from me was the wost part. I can´t tell we made it yet, but once I have the visa on one hand and the plane ticket on the other... God is gonna take me back to the US.

God bless everyone in visa journey, families and everyone that has to deal with this difficult times...

    Have a great day everyone!

    -Fotos, listas.

-Certificado de matrimonio, nunca me he casado antes.
