Our Story
I joined an online International Pen Pal website in October 2008 and the first person I contacted was Shahram. He and I started exchanging emails every few days, then every day. After that we began talking on the phone nearly every day. At first we felt there was no hope for a real relationship; he lived in Tehran and the only way we could meet was to take short trips into Turkey. We both wanted much more time together before we made any lifetime commitments!
In May Shahram was accepted into KTH University in Sweden. I flew there to meet him October 2009 and we had 5 blissful days together! I came back home more in love with him than ever, even though both our families thought we were crazy. ;) We missed each other so much and I returned to Sweden in March 2010 to see him again. We are more determined than ever to be together as soon as possible.
I've been searching the web to see what our next steps may be, and this website is the absolute best! Thanks so much for all your helpful tips and advice. I'm sure they will be helpful in the future.
Shahram's still in Stockholm trying to complete his Master's degree and I'm still here, waiting for something to happen! If we could just live in the same COUNTRY for a few months!
