Yes, as long as they are a US citizen or greencard holder and reside in the USA. They don't need to be related or even live in the same state.
That's great to know. thanx a lot.

Not legally went to the court for proper annulment in the Philippines. Got married in the US with US citizen. US citizen for 15 years. Separated w/ US citizen husband but not divorced. Can she be deported when immigration find out her case? Is her marriage in the US considered illegal?
-
No, because she is a citizen and she petitioned for you, not him. It may make the affidavit of support more difficult, depending on the sort of job your mom has, but that is it.
can anybody co-sponsor? even if not my relatives.

What if the case is like this:
When my mom (became a US citizen thru marriage to US citizen) naturalized she petitioned me as FB-1 (unmarried child over 21. In the long run stepdad and mom separated but not divorced. Can the separation affects the petition by my mom for me?
I would appreciate if you leave any comments..

can my grandmother petition her grandchildren? how long will it take?or can an uncle petition his niece? and how long will it take as well.. what form do we need..
-
my uncle was petitioned by her mom who is LPR, he got married and the embassy found out the situation.. he was denied for a visa.. is there any way he can do to go to america? what if my grandma who is his petitioner will file for a citizenship, could this change his status? please help..
Sorry. Your uncle is out of luck. An LPR can not petition for a married child. So when your uncle got married, he became an ineligible beneficiary and the petition for him was revoked. Once revoked, this petition is useless to your uncle. Nothing can be done to revive it.
If your grandmother becomes a US citizen, she can apply for because a USC can petition for a married child in the F3 family preference category. However, your uncle would have to begin from the start. The old petition for him does not matter. Your uncle has about an 18 years wait. If your grandmother dies during the 18 years wait, your uncle cannot get a visa since there would not be an eligible petitioner.
how sad....

just wondering if you could help me with my query..
my petitioner is my mom who is a US citizen before she filed for my petition, im over 21 years old and unmarried. my priority date is nov. 16, 2001. how many years do i still need to wait? im the only one left here in the philippines. can i get a tourist visa while waiting for my priority date to be current? or is it possible for me to get a working visa since i am also a nurse? please help me with this.. thank you..
You are in the F1 family preference category. Currently, Filipinos with petitions filed before Sept. 1, 1993 are eligible for visas. So you have about another 8 years before you become eligible for a visa.
You may be able to get a tourist visa. You have to apply yourself at the US embassy. You have to prove that you have sufficient ties to the Philippines and overcome the presumption that you would an illegal immigrant. This may be incredibly hard for you to do.
You may be able to get an employment visa. You would have to find an employer who would file for a visa on your behalf. You cannot get an employment visa unless the employer has a job for you. There are a few legitimate agencies in the Philippines that can help you. There are also lots of fraudulent agencies that will take your money and not deliver on the visa. Be careful.
thank you for the quick reply..
i am currently working as a school nurse right now.. have a house in my name.. and also have a daughter who is 3 years old by august.. if i will file for a tourist visa is the above mentioned a possibility to get a tourist visa?

hi! My husband is a US citizen and the processing time for his petition for my daughter was due last July 5,2005 and yet we haven't received any letters or medical&interview schedule from the NVC. what's the best way to follow up about it, by phone or by mail? the processing date for California as of March 20, 2006 is Sept. 16, 2005. We've been waiting for those papers since July coz my 18month old baby is getting bigger now and we really miss her so much. Hope somebody out there can give me some help or advice. Thanks.
keep calling and informing NVC.. is he the father by the way?
