Please let me know if there is a requirement for formatting.  Does the translation need to look like the original or can it be translated line by line?

I need to have several documents translated for an I129f application.

A friend who is a head counselor at a school is willing to translate for me.

I found examples that she needs to provide to state she is fluent in both languages.

But we are not sure how the translation, let's say of a birth certificate should look like.

Does it need to follow the formatting of the original or can it be written line by line?  

ex. if original was formatted with the information horizontally, does the translation need to follow suit?

     Nombre: Jose jknmjk         Padre: jkakjd jknmjk

Translation version 1:

     Name: Jose  jknmjk           Father: jkakjd jknmjk

or 

Translation version 2

    Name:  Jose jknmjk

    Father: jkakjd jknmjk

The tactics I speak of is the manner of speaking and /or presenting your side, should one be assertive to express one's desires to return. Or is better to be nice

Should you interupt in order to present documents you may feel are relevant. etc.....

If the person doing the interview is on the fence for accepting the visa, they need to be persuaded.

this make part of the process subjective.

Subjectivity can be influenced. And that is part of my question. What tactics work.

Of course honesty needs to be present, but there are manners to convey honesty.

Not everyone enters with the same tactics in mind, some work and other don't. This is an interview of presuasion

I know it is a long shot. But I have spent the last 4 Christmas' in Colombia and would like to spend one here in the US.

She will not graduate until July 2016.

At that time we will probably get a K-1 or soon after

We've been together for 4.5 years. But I would really like for her to visit me before we go the wedding route. I have visited Colombia several times to visit her and her family.

I would like to give the visitor visa one more shot. So that is why I am asking if there are any other strategies that might work.

Would it help to be more assertive during the interview prosses so the documents can be shown?

My girlfriend had her DS-160 refused today at Bogota, Colombia. She had supporting documents that showed her son has autism and needs her constant care, but the interviewer did not ask to see the documents.

She is currently a student at a University and had papers to prove that she is enrolled until August 2016.

She also had my I-134 form.

She is a student and not working.

Is there another strategy we could try to perhaps have a better chance of success?

My friend is preparing their documents and affidavits to apply for a tourist visa in Bogota, Colombia.

1) Do the documents need to be translated to English?

2) Do he affidavits (ie. doctors, and teachers) stating ties to Colombia need to be in English, also?

I have known her and her family for about three years. I am in colombia at this time spending the last 3 weeks in her mother's house. So I feel very confident that she will not rob me. We are trying to get an internet buisiness going for her.

My girlfriend from colombia wants to visit me neext year.

I understand from various posting that the US wants to be certain the person issued a visa will return to thier own country.

She has two kids, ages 7 & 4, that she is going to leave with her mom for the time of her visit.

Is that enough reason for the US to beieve she will return?

Should I help her open a bank account to show she has money (I would have to place it there).

She currently has no job.

Any other suggestions that would make the possibilities of her tourist visa being granted that we should have before applyng?

My fiance and I were separated and canceled our wedding plans.

Her K-1 visa expired in the beginning of April.

We are now back together.

Can we do anything so that she can still be here legally? Yes, she is still here in the states with me.

We want to get married as soon as possible.

My fiance needs the full range of vaccinations. She lives in Bucaramanga. Does anyone know of any inexpensive clinics to get vaccinations? Is it best to wait until she sees the assigned doctors in Bogota?

Our I129-f was filed in the California Center on June 20, 2009. My fiance just got her passport. Her middle name is spelled differently. It is spelled Harlet. In our application we wrote Harley. The rest of her name is spelled correctly.

Her birth certificate has the named spelled Harlet. But her colombian ID has is spelled Harley.

Should I just send the California center a letter stating that there is an alternate spelling of her middle name?

Hopefully things should get completed for the interview in October or November. I just want to fix things now that may be a potential problem.
