    Hi,

    What is the yellow letter everyone is talking about?I did a walk in for my fingerprint and online status says I am in line for interview since 7/5/14 but I havent received any kinda letter...I was hoping to receive a letter with interview date and time so what is this yellow letter?Well my online status says I am inline but should i call and ask about the yellow letter?does everyone receives it after the biometrics and before the interview letter.?confused.

    Just checked my case status and it says appointment notice for fingerprints has been mailed...so i have been reading about people doing walk-in for fingerprints...how does this work?don't they send you back if the date is different at the appointment notice...do i tell them i am doing a walk-in.How do i go about it and most importantly....does doing an early walk in fingerprints mean that my paperwork will be moving along faster for the interview?Thanks.

    Hey guys,

    so did you all attach the G-1145 form along with the n400 for e notification?I didnt do it.Didnt even realise there was an option for that.Its been8 days since USCIS received my package( USPS tracking)but my check is not cleared yet...getting a lil worried if everything is ok with my paperwork.Will let ya'll know if the check clears tomorrow.

    dilemma regarding Dubai Police Clearance for K1 visa

    We are in a confused situation about my Dubai Police Clearance. We search everywhere to get a concrete answer to our confusion and found nothing.

    I possess an expired Dubai Police Clearance (since it is only valid for 3 months) and exerted all out efforts to get a valid one by completing and gathering requirements, sending them email and calling the Police Offices so many times but bring us to nowhere. No reply, no clear answer.

    FYI - Dubai Police Clearance is dated March 2009, I never went back to Dubai since I left for good last April 2009 which I believe there is no reason for me to get another one since I never went back since I left last April. I left cleared with the clearance.

    We are planning to call USEM to ask them (if possible) of what we are going to do about the clearance. Is it possible to get in touch with them regarding this matter?

    We are waiting for the Packet 3 to come and we are quite running out of time.

    If we need to get another one, I will be forced to fly back to Dubai which is quite expensive and difficult.

    Is anyone out there has the same situation? Please help.

    all you got to do is go to the dubai embassy and tell them you need a p.c.fill the forms and give ur fingerprints .it will take about 3 weeks.been there,done that.

    hi,

    i am from india so my case was kinda similar to yours.my husband and i met in Bahrain and we were not sure if we should get married in Greece(which is valid and allowed) or should we apply for a K1 or should we go to india and get married.Firstly getting married in Greece sounded good but the paperwork takes too long,then we thought of getting married in India and the same story with paperwork.Tourist visa from india was out of question because its very difficult to get one and i didnt want any unnecessary trouble.So the best thing we did was we went to India and got engaged in the traditional way(u know engagement with family and relatives) and then filed for our K1 paperwork.he went back to the states and i stayed back in india.within six months our K1 paperwork was approved and i was in the U.S.and we got married in court here.

    As for the K1 evidence u can always show ur phone records,emails and pictures of u guys getting engaged in pakistan with his family and friends.

    if u plan to get married in pakistan or morocco the paper work is very lengthy for k3 and u dont want to stay away from ur hubby right after u get married,u know what i am saying.hope this helps...

    a year back i invited my aunt for my wedding and she did enter the U.S. but never came to meet me and the last i heard she extended her visa saying she was gonna visit her cousin.anyhow her visa gets over in feb and i dont think she plans to go back to india.i have tried to get in touch with her but she doesnt answer my calls and now i dont know where she s at.my question is am i still responsible for her even though she entered in a tourist visa and later extended her stay saying she was gonna visit her cousin.

    in the future if i want to invite my family to the U.S. is my aunt going to be a problem for me.

    I have a question in regards to PCC in Delhi. My fiance is currently living in Delhi but he is from Siliguri. He has been living in Delhi for over three years so my question is Does he have to get PCC from district, local and passport office? He did get one from Siliguri but does he have to get one from Delhi local police office and passport office? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    hi i hope my answer helps you...well i am from darjeeling and i lived in delhi for three years(2001-2004).i got a PCC from Kolkatta passport office and then a Pcc from delhi.i lived in dhaula juan so I fell under the R.K.Puram police station....usually takes about a week or more depending what kinda person is handling ur paperwork.

    i got a pcc from Dajeeeling but i had to pay a fee to the superintendent of darjeeling payable in siliguri.

    Basically you need to get a PCC from only those places where you lived for more than 6 months after the age of 18.in ur case get one from delhi, siliguri, and the passport office in kolkatta(they stamp your passport,saying u r clear to receive a visa)There is no such thing as getting a pcc from district.

    I hope this helps...i got my pcc on dec 2009.

    does anyone have any idea how long will it take to renew ur indian passport from the U.S. and how long before it expires should i renew it.what do i need to do incase if i want to change my last name(maiden to married) and do i need to change my fathers name to my spouses name even if my spouse is an american...how does this work? i read that i need to advertise a name chage in the local newspaper here and in india.i have my G.C.in my new name and my passport expires on 2011.should i wait until 2011 for name change and renewal or should i change my name first and then renew my passpost in 2011 again...any ideas

    hi everyone,

    if anyone has any idea about this topic,then please comment.

    I entered U.S. in a K1 visa dn then got married to my American hubby.During that time i send my wedding invitation cards to my aunts.They went for the visa interview and got tourist visa for three months.However they never came for my wedding.I live in california.They went to visit theirs cousins in newyork.wehen the time came for leaving one left but the other stayed back and extended her visa through her cousins and started living with them.Her extended visa expires on february.She does not keep in touch with me anymore.the reason being that i told her to leave before her visa expires but she s been telling my other cousins that she wants to overstay(illegally).I want nothing to do with her now.i cant get hold of her.my question is am i still responsible for her or not.in future if i want to invite any of my family here will there be any problems.

    When she came to america the embassy which issued her the visa was more concerned if she had enough property and if she s financially sound or not they didnt ask her anything about me. and they didnt even have to show my wedding invitation during the visa interview. so am i still responsible for her.

    congratulations....i have a question though...i was never sent a ref for i 693(i had send them a copy of my ds 3925 with my aos forms)so when i went for the aos interview the officer asked me to get the I693 and mail it to them and they would send me my decision by mail.well so far so good....but i am really confused about the tubesculosis or ppd test...before i came to america i already had the x ray done in my country and i still have the report with me because the embassy said they didnt want it.anyhow i have all my shots also but i cant get an appointment with the doc for three weeks...so my question is can i avoid the ppd test and just get my transcribs done by another surgeon.

    please help.

    i have a situation...i went for my AOS interview yesterday.the officer asked me for my vaccination report(which i was not aware of)(i only submitted the DS 3035 with my AOS forms).the moment he knew i didnt have a vaccination report the interview kinda stopped...he asked me to submit the I693 vaccination form in mail.now my question is do i really need to get a PPDskin test.i still have my X ray report from my country.and yes i took all the vaccination all over again but the doc wont see me until the after 3 weeks.so can i just take my vaccination report and transcribe in my I693.and do they transcribe my ppd test also.Are there any one who actually had a problem because you didnt take a skin test.
