  1. Hi Everyone,

For the inerview it says "bring all documentation establishing your eligibility for lawful permanent resident status. I am guessing that would be the marriage certificate and supporting documents. This is new 'cuz I don't know what would be the documents that supports my eligibility other than marriage related documents. I was on the F-1 visa status prior to my application for adjustment of status but I do not thnk this would refer to myF-1 visa and I-20 forms etc. One other thing is that it also asks for us to bring my spouse's birth certificate and her evidence of U.S. citizenship. How does a U.S. Citizen prove that he or she is a citizen other than the birth certificate. If anybody knows smth about these two issues I'd appreciate the answer.

    Thank you

  2. Hi,

I am applying for adjustment of status and I'd like to apply for I-131 travel document along with it in case I need to visit my country during the process. I am not sure what to put on part two which asks the application type. Number 1 seems close but I am not given a conditional resident status yet. That leaves me with advance parole option and it asks in part 7 to write on a seperate paper to explain how I am qualified for advance parole. I don't know what to chose and what to write to explain why I am qualified for it. I went through the instructions and could not really find any specific info to handle that. If anybody knows could you advice me what to put simply on this seperate sheet.

    Thank you

  3. Hi Everyone,

I am applying for i-765 as part of my adjustment of status through marriage. On the form it asks if I ever applied for an employment authorization from USCIS? If yes which office and so on. I came U.S. as a student and after completion of my masters I had applied for student optional practical training card which grants me a year of work authorization. Does anyone know should this be included in the document or just leave it out as it is a temporary work authorozation given to only international students to practice their skills for a limited time. I'm guessing I should put it in but just want to have different opinions.

    Thank you

  4. Good evening everybody,

I'm a little confused about the medical examination needed for AOS.

Actually I don't have any medical records available and never had med exam abroad so I understand I need to do a complete I-693 medical exam and I-693A here, in the US. Am I right?

Would it be wise to send out to Chicago the AOS package (I-130, I-485, I-864, I-765 and I-131) without including the I-693 and I-693A or should I wait to have everything in hand to send a complete package out?? I'm asking you for advice as the soonest appointment I was able to make for the medical exam is mid April!!

Also does anybody can give me a the price of a complete I-693 in Maine.

The price I've been told by the doc I contacted is almost 500$... really out of my budget!!!!

    Thanks for your advice.

    Caroline.

    Hi Caroline,

I had my medical exam for $220. I checked about the price on the phone with several places and it ranged around 200 to 320 and that's the price if you did not have anything done before which was the case with me. Prices may change from state to state but 500 is still too much. I think you can find a reasonable one if you search for more places.

  5. Hi everyone,

I am confused in one thing within the affidavit of support form. For the household size it says make sure you do not count anyone twice. The first part asks for the number of people I'm sponsoring which is one and that's my husband. Then in 2 it puts 1 automatically 1 for myself. 3 asks me to put 1 if I am currently married. So I end up having 3 as total counting my husband twice. If I dont want to count twice I'll end up putting wrong info in either 1 or 3. My income covers 2 or 3 so I'm thinking to put 3 just to be on the safe side. Does anyone know what would be the right approach to this?

    Thanks...
