Thanks Leenie for starting this thread. I am a USC and my wife is a conditional resident. Our window to file ROC also opened on Oct 13th. We had a baby last year. We have the following documents

Joint tax return transcript

Birth certificate of our son

Joint bank accounts

Life insurance with my wife listed as the beneficiary

I am not sure will this be enough. Some people here on VJ mentioned that USCIS no longer requires to send pictures. Will these following additional documents be helpful. Medical record of our son with both of our names, and medical record of my wife during her pregnancy with my name in it.

I completed AR-11 online for my wife after we moved in Jan 2011, and i also mailed out I-865 for myself. I even have the confirmation for the address change. But, last week we got a letter from USCIS at our old address. Even though i did both AR-11 and I-865 for the change of address, it seems like they have not updated our profile.

I called them and the person i talked to told me that since the case is no longer open i might have to go to the local office. Does anyone else had the same issue? Should i go to the local office?

I am a US citizen and my wife arrived in the US in January of 2011 on CR1 visa. After she arrived she got pregnant. She didn't have health insurance. Since she was already pregnant, nobody was willing to give her insurance because pregnancy is considered as a pre existing condition. So, she applied for MCHP. It is a state and federally funded insurance for children, and pregnant women. I met their income requirements and she got the insurance. Will this raise a red flag with USCIS when she applies to remove the conditional residence next year.

I am filling out I-865 (change of address of petitioner). It is asking for A-number (alien registration number). I am a US citizen so, i am assuming i don't have to enter the A-number. Please let me know if i am correct.

If you are now at a different address than the one confirmed at the interview and/or POE then yes you need to submit the AR-11 and I-865.

I am concerned about the change of address. Do i have to complete I-865 and my wife AR-11 for the address change. Can someone please let me know.

My wife recieved the interview date. But, prior to her interview she will have to go to the nearest VFS office and submit documents and pay a fee. Can anyone please tell me if she will have to submit her medical report at the VFS office. She is in Kerala, India.

I got an email from NVC that they need police clearance certificate. I already mailed the orignal PCC along with DS230. I mailed both passport clearance certificate and police clearance certificate. What is the matter with these NVC people.

I have the copy of PCC and passport clearance. Can i just sent in the copy and tell them that i already mailed the originals. Please let me know. This is really frustrating.

you'll have to keep trying the phone number. it's a little hard sometimes but if you keep pressing the redial long enough, you'll get through. call them to check if it's already in their system. hopefully they did not lose your packet.

I sent DS230 along with all the required civil documents marriage certificate, passport clearance etc. to NVC on sept 23 and they got it on sept 24. I also have the confirmation that someone at NVC accepted the documents. I got an email from NVC that they have not received the DS230 along with the civil documents. I got this email after i sent the documents. When i emailed them explaining that i express mailed the documents to NVC and someone at NVC accepted it, they are still telling me that they are waiting on the DS230. The email seems like an automated message to me. I tried calling 6033340700 but can't get through. I am worried. I hope they didn't misplace the documents.

Please tell me what should i do.

The address can also be changed once the beneficiary arrives in the US by filling out a form AR11. I hope i am correct.

MANY people are asked for documents they already sent in. If asked do exactly as they say.

I sent in the originals. Marriage certificate, birth certificate, police clearance certificate. It is not easy to obtain the originals again. If they ask me to sent in the originals again, i will be in trouble. I hope they recieved the documents. I will call them in 2 days.

I mailed out the DS230 package on September 23rd and they received it on September 24th but i got an email saying that they are still waiting on my DS230. I even have a confirmation fromt the USPS that the package was delivered and was signed by someone at NVC. I sent an email to NVC. Is it possible that my package has been misplaced by NVC.

If the joint sponsor is inadequate or the documents are not properly formatted, then NVC should tell us in the first place. They just make us go through the entire process only for us to know in the end that we need to find another joint sponsor or our documents are incorrect. This tells us that NVC don't really care. They only want our money. I feel sorry for supermom82. I am really worried now. I have used a joint sponsor. NVC need to do a better job.

Once I submit the original doucments to NVC along with the DS230.

Original marriage certificate.

Original police certificate.

Original birth certificate of my spouse (beneficiary).

Are they,NVC, going to return the original documents to me (sponsor) here in the US or are they going to mail the documents to the US counsulate in India where my spouse will be going for the interview. I am bit concerned in mailing the original documents.

I am the sponsor and my dad is the joint sponsor and we both have different address. I am using I-864, one for myself indicating i am the petitioner, and one for my dad indicating that he is a joint sponsor. My question is for question 30 and 31, for my dad's I-864 will his name go under sponsor name (question 30) and his signature (question 31). I just wanted to make sure.

My spouse is trying to obtain Police Clearance Certificate from Kerala, India. Does she goes to the passport office or the local police station to get one. Some folks in kerala told her that PCC is given by the passport office. I don't know. Please let me know the right way to obtain PCC, thanks.

I just called this morning to check the status of my I864 AOS docs receipt, NVC received it on 07/21/10, didn't know how I would know if there were any problems with it, not that I think there is but just don't want any delays.

The response I got from the operator was they received it and it will take 6-8 weeks for processing, is that right?

Seems like the recording saying wait 6-8weeks for processing.

Anyone knows how you would know if there was an issue of if they needed anything else?

Please tell me how many pay stubs do i (petitioner) needs to provide along with my I-864.

Also, my dad is a joint sponsor. Does he needs to provide the copy of his paystubs. He is already providing last 2 years tax return and the most recent W-2.

In this section it says in bold Persons not sponsored in this affidavit. So, for © i don't have to say "1" even though i am married because i am sponsoring my wife and i already counted her once in section(a). Please let me know.

I am the petitioner and i am employed but, i don't meet the minimum income requirement for the AOS and i would like to use my dad as a joint sponsor. Both me and my dad are at different addresses so, i can't use I-864A. I can only use I-864. In that case, does both me and my dad will have to fill out two seperate I-864 forms.
