  1. I just wanted to inform everyone who has been following me through my situation that my wife went back to her country today.

When she left my, she did somewhat keep in contact by phone which always led to her arguing and making threats towards me of things that she was going to tell immigration. I spoke with her family and each time I did speak with them I heard about a new lie that she told them and when she heard that I spoke with them she called me with threats. The last time I spoke with her she wanted money, i did not give and that was two weeks ago. Well today I found out that she returned back to her country on her own (TODAY). I guess all the pain I had been having in my stomach all day was telling something was going on. I called her family today and they are the ones that informed me, they were all suprised that she did not tell me. Which they should have know becuase she keeps everything a secret. Well its time to continue on with divorce, I just have to find out what else i need to do. Thank you all for your help and time that you hav giving me in this journey. This is a great site, but I will not use it anymore or plan to in the future. I'll like to stay single the rest of my life and no it not becuase of this one person.

    Thanks All

  2. I want to inform everyone that I have been on the phone all morning with USCIS AND ICE. I have made a report of with the proper authorities and they have told me this is visa fraud. The AOS has not been recieved by the government yet so they informed me to cancell the CHECK which I did.

This morning she called me around 4am to tell me that I had raped her and that she is a victim. She also stated that I forced her to come to the USA and that it is my responsibility to take care of her no matter where she lives and that I am suppose to give her everything she wants. She said she was going to call immigration and tell them that I raped her. I can tell the someone has been feeding her some bad info but I wont say nothing to her. I have filed a restraining order on her and I have an appointment today to see a divorce attorney. She has stated to me that she will not DIVORCE me at all, and that she will refuse to sign any paper.

So it appears that the only thing I really need to do now is divorce her and continue on with my life. Im happy my check was not cashed and that her paper work had not been recieved yet. I guess I will be getting a RFE when the check does not go through and I will work so hard to make sure I reply to the RFE quickly :whistle:

This might be my last post that I place on here until everything is complete. Some of you I might PM if i get stuck somewhere but please let me know if I become a bother.

Thank you to all that have given me advice on what to do.

I will stay strong and get through this. Its been hard becuase this has been my first marriage and I never thought it would be like this.

  3. I want to thank everyone that has helped me in this matter. I can say that she is out of my home and that I am a lot less stressed at this time. She has started to call me and have been sending emails trying to work things out. She has shown me her true colors so why would i want to continue. I guess that she has realized that she had shown her colors way to soon and that she is still at the beginng of the AOS. I do not want to continue on with this relationship. I would hate to complete the AOS, and have her being nice to me for a few years to only then start abusing me or accusing me of anything again. I might look dumb, but im smarter than the average joe.

I want to THANK everyone again. God Bless.

  4. Thank you to those that have responded. I am a police officer and im usually givening the advice and taking reports like this. Now that it is me in this situation i really dont know what to do. I defenitly will not continue with this realtionship. I am looking for the easiest way out of this. I could have and still can presss charges on her but im trying to be a big guy here and just part our ways. I will be witdrawing the AOS and any support ASAP. Its sad when i really do love this girl and her family and this is the thanks i get. She feels like i will be loosing alot. I wont be loosing anything. I have explained to her that the time, money and stress was worth it but the abuse is not.

  5. Hello everyone it's been a while since I have posted anything. Those of you who followed me while I was going through the K1 visa process thanks for all your support. To inform everyone that the marriage has not been working out. I have tried my best to make this thing work, it has become a one person relation ship and the other only wanting things. My wife feels that the USA and the people here owes her, she does not want to get accumilated here. She has pissed off her whole family here in the USA and now mines. For the past week I have been terrorized, i have been abused so bad that physically and mentally by my wife. She says she wants me to hit her "which is something i refuse to do" she calls e her ex-husbands name and has now told my family and her family that i have hit her. I have pictures of her bite marks, scratched and brusied. I am a black male and have brusies that are very visable. She has made threats to me, she really has a bad attitude and throws a big temper tantrum when she doesnt get her way. The lovely lady that I and fell in love with is no longer there, now im dealing with a imature person. She has destroyed alot of my expensive belongings and pictures. I refuse to put my hands on her or let her get her way, i have a great carreer and i will not sacrife it. We have only been married almost 3months now and i see her true colors. I have made every attempt to work this relationship out, no matter what i do shhe still treats me worse than a damn dog. My plans are to buy her a ticket back to her country or where ever she wants to go. right now she want to go to her sisters in fort-lauderdale( "she also pissed her off")so im going to buy her a ticket there. Im sorry for comming on this board to ask for help but i really need help and advice on what i need to do.

FYI: I just sent off her paperwork for her AOS

I reeally do love her and have shown her as much love as i can but i cant be with someone that treats me like ######.

Her family and also my family has attempted to help us out in this realtionship and has given us some great help but soon as they leave she turns back into her evil ways.

Please someone let me know what i need to do to her her out of my life.

  6. I just wanted to let everyone know that my fiance arrived in Miami safely. Her plane was delayed for a little while she was in Medellin, She arrived about 8pm. It took her about 2 hours to go through customs becuase of lines. She said customs was fine she did not have any issues and they did not ask her any questions. She traveled with her dog also with no problems. I EXCITED she is here. Thanks everyone that has followed me and gave me assistance and encouragement through this process. I will still be here reading everyday (it gives me something to do) and getting ready for the AOS.

    Thank you all again

and good luck to the everyone that is still going through the process.

    God Bless.

  7. Man I am so happy for you! That is so awesome we are a couple of months out from this all coming to fruition for us too. I can only imagine how you're feeling. I hope that the both of you have long and loving relationship and she enjoys it here in Florida. Congratulations and good luck to the both of you. Do you plan to return to Colombia next for the big one for her family and all? I think that is what we'll do. If so maybe we can give each other some insight along the way eh?

Ohh on a side note: I don't know if you're aware but I just learned about Aires Airline that flies real cheap flights out of Ft. Lauderdale to several cities down there. It's worth the drive down there if you're into saving $$$. It's worth a look if you didn't already know about it.

Anyway... Right On Man! Too Cool!

    Tech-Mo

Thank you so much. So far we have been talking about having the wedding here, Which is good but I told her that I would like to go back and have atleast a small ceremony in colombia for her mom and other family members that cannot travel to the US at this time.

Thanks for the insight on AIRES. I have never used them but i will look into them. My Fiancee is coming on American Airlines. I have been using Spirit and as of my last trip I will never use them again. It's bad when i bought a ticket and could not use it becuase Spirit said they could not do nothing about weather in another state and the plane not arrivng. So i had to buy another ticket to get to colombia on another airline and spirit will not refund or credit me anything. This was when I was on my way for the interview.

But im happy I dont have to worry about traveling for another year. But I will definetly look into Aires and it will work out well becuase we plan to move to Fourt Lauderdale from Tampa in the next year or so.

Thanks again and I wish you the best on your journey.

Congratulations on your fiancee's arrival! I'm sure you both feel relieved that all of your hard work has finally brought you to this point. I wish you both an abundance of peace and happiness as you begin a brand new journey together!

    Eric

Thank you Eric, Good luck on your Journey.

    God Bless

  9. :dance::whistle:

Our interview was on March 2, 2010 at the Colombia embassy. We arrived in Bogota early Monday morning on a long bus ride from Medellin. We attempted to pay the visa fee at Banco De Credito near the embassy on Monday but upon our arrival at 430pm the bank was close. The bank closes at 3pm. So we just relaxed the rest of the day. The bad news about our travel was that the buses were not running because they were on strike and same with the taxis. On March 2, we woke up at 4am to get ready to go to the embassy, we woke up early because buses and taxis were not running and we were told that it would take us about an hour and a half to walk to the embassy from where we were staying. God was with us that day because when we left her uncles house we found a taxi driver that was taking patrons. We arrived at Cipress Plaza at 615am which is where the bank is to pay the visa fee. We were second in line and just waited for 7am when the bank opens. My fiancé uncle and brother waited in the line at the embassy for us. GOD BLESS THEM BOTH. After paying the visa fee we walked quickly to the embassy, we arrived around 730am waited in line 3 for about 2mins and then were allowed to enter. Went through security, received a small green sticker with #40 on it and went to line 40. In this line we received a folder where we had to organize everything they wanted in it. After completing we went back up to the counter where a lovely female checked it and took it into her possession. She then told us to sit and wait for our name to be called. We took this opportunity to go get breakfast from the little cantina. After eating we went back to where we originally were. After sitting their for about 20 minutes. We were called to window 31. We got to the window where a lady was reviewing our folder and all the documents that I first sent in. I was told to take a seat while she spoke with my fiancé. I then took this opportunity to go to the restroom. when I got back my fiancé was wrapping up with the female at window 31. My fiancé came over to me and informed that the lady was very impressed with the neatness, clarity, and how everything was filled out correctly. She told my fiancé that our application was the best the she has seen in a long time. She then informed us that we needed to go sit near windows 2 through 5 and wait for our name to be called.

We started waiting at the consulate section from 9am to about 1230pm, we witness many people being denied their visa. Its sad when you see some one go on with a smile on their face and walk away sad with their passport in hand. Note to all if your visa was approved the embassy keeps it, if not approved they hand it back to you. Well we waited for what seemed like eternity. As I was telling my fiancé that we should just go because I think they forgot about us, our her name was called to window # 4. We both went to window # 4 with my big bag of evidence “Pictures, Phone records, Applications“. My fiancé was asked to pick up the phone which is how you speak to the consulate. She was asked a few questions

Where I was born--- Answered Correctly.

How old I was--- answered correctly.

The phone was then passed to me were I was then asked a series of questions

    My fiancé Name?

    My name?

What kind of work I did?

    My work title?

How many kids I had- This was asked repeatedly

How many kids my fiancé had- also asked repeatedly

    My fiancé ex husbands name?

    When was she divorced?

If I new about her previous marriage before we were engaged or after-- this was asked many times in different ways.--I gave the same answer.

Why didn’t I put she was divorce on the 129f application? Asked multiple times.

How many times she applied for a visa? I responded that she attempted to get a B2 visa in march and was not approved.

He asked me who she was visiting and I told him that It was I she was visiting if she had received the B2 Visa. He then stated that I have a good memory because I remembered the date she applied for the B2

Asked if she had family in the USA,… I stated she had a aunt, and nothing more.

I was then asked to hand back the phone to her where she was also asked about any family in the USA.

I guess she heard my answer and answered the same only one aunt .

We were then told that her visa was APPROVED She was so excited. I just wanted to get out of their before they said hey we made a mistake. We then went over to Domensa and paid the visa fee and then quickly walked towards the exit.

The consulate never looked or asked about any of the evidence that I brought “ NOTHING”.

He did give me back the pictures that I sent in with the initial Application.

My fiancé gave me a big kiss as we exited the embassy.

Later that day we headed back to the bus terminal to go back to Medellin.

We arrived back to Medellin early on March 3rd. I was suppose to leave back to the USA that afternoon.

But because my fiancé misunderstood me I missed my flight. We arrived at the airport in rio Negro at 2pm, which is when the airline considers you late. I decided not to worry because I new I was late and nothing else I could do. So I went ahead a bought another ticket for Thursday. Which I am happy I did because I got to spend a extra day with my fiancé and her family. I did make my flight out the next day.

Now I am hear anxiously waiting for my fiancé to arrive.

My overall experience with the whole K1 Fiancé process has been very good.

I would say pay attention to all of the documents, communicate with your fiancé about what is happening and what they need to do. Completely everything in a timely manner and accurately. Be patient Take all sorts of evidence of relationship even if it is not needed.

My embassy experience was GREAT no complaints.

  10. Good Afternoon my name is Adrian, this is my first post here and would greatly appreciate some help. Well today I recieved an email and hard copy letter stating the interview date for my fiance. Her interview date will be March 2, 2010

Me and my fiance communicate very well when we are face to face but over the phone its kind of hard.

My questions are can someone translate into spanish the next steps she need to take before the interview date.

And if someone can help me with the conversion of pesos to dollars of the Medical Exam fees.

I will be traveling to attend the interview, my fiance does not seem to understand why we need to pay for a medical exam for her, Visa fees and such.

I have emailed her all the info she needed but she questions me about everything and then tells me she does not understand me.

I have explained the importance of this to her but I have notice with most colombian that no matter what things are they are not really important.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I would greaty appreicate everyones help.
