  1. Currently we're still waiting on our NAO2, our VJ timeline suggested it would be adjudicated between the 15th of February, and the 25th.. Then it moved up to the 1st of March, then back down to the prior expectation.. It's now the 4th of March, so what I'm wondering is, should we be worried? And if so.. Should we call the USCIS?

I checked Igor's List aswell, and the prior fifteen cases which also sent their 129F at around the same time to ours have been adjudicated around this time; 3rd of March or so.. So I don't know what to think.

Any help or insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

  2. how much is an accepted 'minimum' amount to have in the Petitioners bank account when sending off the bank statements for packet 3?

where are you reading this, specifally?

it smells like evidence / supporting documentation for the I-134, and unless something changed up from last week -

The I-134 is submitted on INTERVIEW DAY.

Vette your instructions, please - have another read?

    see http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/iv/iv_15.html

and pay particular attention on 'what to do' and 'what is sent in' and even

'how to prepare the P-3 packet' - cause the P-3 packet IS NO LONGER MAILED OUT.

I appreciate the link and the advice from both of you, thank you very much. Most of the information we have got probably is outdated it seems if you're telling us otherwise, a lot of stuff has been read by researching the K-1 process and trying to gather information from different sources.

  3. The main thing is proof of income. You have to be at least 25% above the poverty level. You probably already know this since you've already decided to use a cosponsor.

From what I've seen, assets (including amount in bank account) only really matter if you do NOT meet the income requirements.

Although it's good to prepare in advance, you don't really need to be worrying because it will still be a few weeks after NOA2 that you receive PKG 3.

So all in all the amount in the Petitioners bank account is void unless they aren't above the poverty line by 25%? Okay, that's great news. Also, what I meant by worrying is, it'll of been four months in two days, do you think we should be worrying, because we feel the NAO2 should of came by now (We're kind of going by a timeframe of the general six months it seems to take most people on average), or are we being over-anxious?

  4. Hey everyone, our K-1 is making its way to the point where we should be expecting our NAO2 anyday now. Our timeline seems to say we should be adjudicated at the 25th of February at the latest. We're starting to worry because that doesn't leave us much time to get it, before we start panicing. In two days it'd of been four months since we filed the initial 129F petition; I guess what our question is, is should we be worrying?

Along with packet three we're under the impression that the Petitioner will have to send the Beneficiary (Me) bank statements from her, and because we're using a co-sponsor, theirs also. So I have a few questions:

    - Will the amount of money in my partners bank account effect the outcome of the K-1 even if we are using a co-sponsor? (If so, how much should the co-sponsor have laying in their bank account generally?)

    - As we are preparing for the NAO2 we're also curious as to how much is an accepted 'minimum' amount to have in the Petitioners bank account when sending off the bank statements for packet 3?

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

  5. Once you get to the point where you receive your instructional packet from the embassy (packet 3), you will literally get a piece of paper with this link on it:

    http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/iv/iv_15.html

This link lists all the forms and documents you will need to collect.

A document that states you've never been married is not going to be required for an interview in the UK.

And in regards to your vaccinations, you can and probably should get them at your GP, where they will most likely be free. Just ask them for some sort of record of having the vaccinations done, then bring it with you to your visa medical.

I strongly suggest you check out the UK regional forum as well for more specific information!

Thank you very much, that was very helpful.

  6. Well my interview for the K-1 I suspect is a few months away still, but I'm nevertheless still trying to gather the documents needed beforehand for it. Recently I obtained the full length copy of my Birth Certificate; I'll have my Police Certificate sometime this week.

What I'm curious about is other documents I may need prior to my interview taking place which I may have overlooked. I recently read something which stated I may need a document of some sort which states that I have never been married before, I'm not sure exactly what this is, or how I go about obtaining one, or if I even need one atall, but I'd very much appreciate some information or links which could direct me to documents I'll need to gather prior to my interview date.

One more thing. I'm currently living in England and I read there are supplemental charges on the vaccinations for the medical, I was wondering if I should try get these vaccinations before my medical on the NHS to save some money, or would this conflict or hurt the process in anyway?

    Thank you.

  7. For the Visa interview....

Send photocopies of the w-2s attached to last years tax return. There really is not a need to attach the 2008 return unless you just want to or you think it benefits you somehow.

For the AOS you WILL need to make a statement of earnings (gross income) from 2007 OR submit an explanation of why you did not file a return for that year. "I was a student" is NOT a valid reason to not file a tax return, neither was "I was out of the country" An explanation must include the reason (citing the tax code) that you were exempt. You will not need this for the consulate interview.

I wasn't employed & my parents claimed me. Is this a legitimate reason?

  8. When I send him this year's (2009) tax return, should I only send a photocopy of my W2 or the actual W2? Thank you in advance.

Also - I have only worked 2 years & I see most people saying to send 3 years worth. Should I get evidence from the IRS that I did NOT file taxes in 2007?

Hey guys, the thread I was depending on for an answer to my question kind of dwindled and died, so I thought I'd start afresh because the thread itself was quite old so I thought it may get overlooked. Here's a link to the old thread http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry3614935 -- I was simply looking to get an answer to the above quoted question.

Thank you for all and any help.

  10. I just ordered my IRS tax return transcripts, but I wanted to be 100 percent sure on this.

-- Since I am sending the IRS TAX RETURN TRANSCRIPTS, I do NOT need to send my W2's in aswell, correct?

Also, I only began working in 2008, so I only have 2 years worth of tax returns. Is this okay & if not, should I request evidence that I did NOT file any taxes for 2007 from the IRS?

    Thanks in advance.

  11. Nevermind, I found them on the IRS website. My computer was glitching, lol. Now, I am completing the form now, but question 6 asks which transcript I would like to request. I am unsure which one I would like?

Bump! I really need an answer to this, if someone could please help; I would appreciate it very much, I'm quite confused and fretting over this right now. Thanks again in advance.

  12. Hey everybody, I was wondering if someone could help me out. I have to do my tax returns and I usually do them online however I was wondering if that would be a problem if they need proof of my tax returns? My Mother is our sponsor and has done hers online for years too.

    Thanks in advance!

  13. I just received my Police Cert from ACPO. Didn't have any problems with it. It took about 3 weeks to arrive and that was including Christmas post. I didn't put any dialling codes on the application form. Address for return of the cert is just your current UK address, where you are living now, so they know where you to post it to. No case reference numbers required, trust me!

Thanks a lot for your answer, much appreciated.

  14. Hey, for those of you who have completed Police Certificate, I have some questions (http://www.acpo.police.uk/certificates.asp). I currently live in England, my fiance and I are currently doing the K-1 visa, for those of you who don't know. Now the questions:

    - Should I put dialing codes on the application form for my contact details? (As I live in England I wouldn't know if this is applicable).

    - For the: "Postal Address for the return of your Police Certificate" - I'm not sure what "Please ensure you include c/o, Department or Case Reference Numbers when using this facility" means.

    Thanks in advance.

Couldn't edit, so I quoted myself. Made a few mistakes at the end.

  16. I have been doing some reading, & what I have been seeing is that different countries have different processing times for the requested police records you need for the K-1 visa. Well, it has been 2 months since the NOA1, & surely, we're hoping, maybe another month for the NOA2, but I was wondering - can we go ahead & get started on that now so that we don't cut into our time too much once the NOA2 arrives, or should we wait it out?

    Thank you in advance.

  17. Hi,

Provided that the police certificate is just for the UK, you can obtain it from ACPO in a couple of weeks: http://www.acpo.police.uk/certificates.asp

If your GP provided you with all the shots then you should be able to obtain a vaccination record from them which you should take to your medical. If you do require any of the shots, your GP should be able to do them or they can be done at the medical.

You will need the full birth certificate that shows your parents details for your interview. You can obtain it, either from the local Registrar from the district that you were bon in or online from the General Register Office: http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/

    Hope this helps!

    Dom

Yes, it's just for the UK; thanks for the link(s). Do you have any idea which shots I will need? Or is there a way of finding out? Or is it merely a matter of making an appointment with my GP and asking him to update me with all my shots, if so, is it normally all done at once?

Thank you for the information, you've both been a lot of help.

  18. As the topic said, I'm curious about English K-1'ers. I'm just interested in asking some general questions:

    - When I need to get a Police report for my interview, is that a essentially CRB cheque? If so, do I need to go back to places I've lived in the past five years and get one from each Police station? (I'm not sure how that works)

    - I was told I need a list of vaccinations/shots I've already had, how will I go about obtaining this? Would it be obtainable by asking my GP for the information?

    - And last of all; Will I need my birth certificate for the interview? If so, I only have my smaller original birth certificate, I don't have the original larger copy, will this effect its validity?

Much oblidged to any answers I receive, thanks in advance.

  19. I recently sent of the first package and found out just now by casually checking my bank balance that some unexpected funds were drawn out of my account and now my check is going to bounce! I'm panicking like crazy!

I just don't know what's going to happen and I'm really panicking right now and I desperately would like some input, please!
