  1. hi everyone,

i am 22 years old. i have a couple of questions to the members of vj.please guide me.

    1. i am a permanent resident of USA. immigrated to USA in July, 2009 with my family. i need a instruction manual which guides a permanent resident about how to file tax documents etc.

    2. i didn't do any job here neither earned any money by any means while my stay in USA. someone said that i will be getting money from IRS instead of paying to them. is it true?

  2. Just finished watching this from a different site. I thought it was well done, and to the point.

I'm one of those rare birds that doesn't even own a cell phone! Tim said he'd get one for me, but you know.... I really don't want one. I've lived without one for over 5 years, and don't miss it a bit!

Then I hope you are never in an emergency situation where having a cell phone would be a life saver. Those kinds of situations occur more than you might think. The day I had a flat tire out in the middle of nowhere...and the spare didn't fit (I'm one of those girls that actually know how to put on a tire) I am VERY glad I had my cell phone that day. :)

I voted NO on a national level.

call in case of emergency and pull off the road if you cant call and want to text.

  3. That's completely fair w4a, I completely get your point.....my own sister had her first baby in Pakistan (Lahore) and everything went very pleasently, but that's 1 out of 4 you know.....I just can't get my mind to over look the bad experiences that I did have you know...it's not always like that.....but I just don't know how to forget what I experienced. Trust me, I'm trying my best to over look it and just go to an even better hospital (sialkot has a limited selection of good hospitals....I've checked most of them out)....but the fear just won't let me think straight enough to completely re-assure myself. :(

    i live in sialkot.

in the recent past many new hospitals have been built including the islam central hospital(if i am correct) which is pretty good.

    great post. :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

it doesn't only a threat to your life but also pose threat to other people's life.

  5. You don't give enough information about his case but any permanent resident or any person who has filed for AOS based on his K1 visa and wishes to re-enter the US without any issues, needs to file a re-entry permit or he won't be allowed to enter.

    Diana

    he is a permanent resident.

he has applied for re-entry permit and had his biometrics taken a copule of weeks ago.

he wishes to go back to pakistan.

i saw on uscis website the approximate processing time for re-entry permit is about 3 months.

so he wont be getting a permit as long as he is in usa.

our relatives on his behalf would recieve the permit and mail it to him in pakistan once they get it.

    the question is that.

does anyone know where to inform about his departure or he doesnt have to inform at all?

i read the whole instruction manual that comes with i-131.it said you can leave usa after your biometrics have been taken.

and there is no information of who to inform before leaving.but i saw somewhere on uscis website that you have to inform before going out of usa and still haven't got the permit yet.

It not only has to be approved, he needs to have it in his hands before he leaves or he runs the risk of not being allowed back in the US if the AP goes missing between the US and Pakistan (if mailed to him).

i think its not much of a worry unless really complicated circumstances exist.

    because

it can always be re-issued if the original is lost.

  6. now i want to mention one more thing.

what if?the they are boyfriend girlfriend?they are in love?

we know what girlfriend boyfriend do and there is no need to mention how far they can go.

She is still a child and he is a pedophile.

    hmmmm

but you know love has no bounds.

    well

i think he was unaware of the laws.

  7. i agree with you guys

if he has commited a crime he should be punished.

but to me since i am from a differnt country he should be given a warning ,at worse put in jail for a couple of months or be fined and put under probation.(since he only tried to persuade her into doing it she never did it and the guy never did anything pysical.)

that would be good enough for him.

but if he ever tries again he should be punished severly.

i think he should be given a chance.

Thank goodness, government doesn't think your way.

Yes if he was back in his country, most probably no one would have even looked at this case, but guess what HE ISN'T. He is in a new country and he needs to abide by the laws. Every country has its social structure and works accordingly. I can't believe you are actually supporting the sick **.

Your words---> since he only tried to persuade her into doing it ..............FACT-> HE did persuade, he did try to take advantage of a minor.

And you sure are leaving a few pointers, in your starting post you pointed out how the girl in subject has been suspended by her school, why is she suspended if nothing at all happened?

Seriously dude, you aren't in Pakistan anymore where a woman can be sentenced to rape as punishment (not trying to stir sh*t but there are barbaric laws in old countries, even in some part of India were religious laws rule)

    yea i agree

    different countries have different rules.

  8. i agree with you guys

  9. Excuse me but does anyone else find it strange how well informed the OP is to the particulars of the activities of this "non-friend"???

the more you know the more you get curious.simple as that

Effing pervs! What kind of idiot would support him? Why not hand over your own daughter and see if he maintains his stellar reputation.

    i am not married.

  10. The guy is totally awesome and I want to be his BFF and let my children play with him.

Is that what you want to hear?

I think he/she wants to hear, nah it's no big deal! He won't be punished at all!!! He's innocent and a good guy after all!!!

    no

i am just saying that he is probably innocent and didnt do anything wrong.

and no one can expect him to do that and if you have someone in your neighbourhood with no such criminal history and had good relations with everyone in neighbouthood would you believe that in first place.suppose you believe it and he is sentenced for say 1 year.

wont you feel that it was unjust and at least feel for him and still kind of have a feeling he might not have done tha and might have been trapped or might be he was drunk.

  11. Listen. Soliciting pictures of a fourteen year old online is fvcking sick. Don't you get that? I suggest you back off before this thread gets really, really ugly.

    ok ok

but can he not be spared for his good record and moral character.and he actually did nothing.

although he seems pretty sick for doing this.

but i think his crime is not that big.

in plus nobody knows what he was trying to achieve.

oh for **'s sake - you don't get it, eh? your "friend" is a perverted motherfvcker who snares children to send him pictures. he is disgusting, and I hope he gets what he deserves. i really do.

    not my friend.

    chill out.

  13. For the geek 101 answer. Yahoo mail allows for IP tracking which will let the authorities know exactly what home the the email came from. So the person who's account was hacked is ok. The person who attacked the child is guilty of some very bad federal crimes. Because the girl was a minor the crime are worse. Attempted distribution of child porn is probably the least of the offenses. That person if a USC will become a registered sex offender. If not they will end up deported.

the person is not a US citizen.he is permanent resident.

but i think his case isn't as worse as you think.

    even if he is guilty.

because as i said he had good reputation and was never found guilty of any offense or crime before.

and may be he was playing around with the girl or just trying to challenge the ability of police or may be to check if the school authorities are awake.

    lol

and he was just kind of forcing and he didn't get pictures or anything else from the girl.

and neither did he commit a rape on her or force her to do sex.

    just emails.

and i don't think he intended to distribute the pictures.

    that happens a lot everywhere.

cyber bullies threat children and joke around as well.

he just asked her to pose nude and she never did but got caught.
