  1. Ah I see. I still sortof have a job, I was just on leave of absence and its a seasonal job that is picking up again.

I see what you mean, even if I do have all intentions of immigrating legally and returning to canada before hand, and just visiting the USA, they still have an obligation to weigh if any individuals are going to stay and not do so legally. Gotcha. thanks. :)

  2. I re read what you said , and I'm curious what "red flag" means, when I'm not going to either overstay my visit( I follow all the laws I've been told) and would never do anything illegal IE work, so I'm curious why they would red flag me without employment ( I had two jobs and went to school before I got severe elbow tendinitis) and I have had seen countless specialists and doctors and my arm is slowly showing improvement after a year off work. I even have doctors notes proving i was unfit to do my regular work duties and needed several months off. I am meaning that , i would never jeopardize any opportunity to be with my fiance in the future. I do have ties here besides work. I want to do it all legally I just keep having more questions than answers. Is it six months in the USA, then six months here or does it depend on the situation?

  3. my fiance and I are shortly going to apply for a fiance visa. I spend five months of the winter in the USA (from the end of oct - early march) and My dad called me and said that I can't go back because six months is as long as i'm allowed to stay and they may turn me around. I've been surfing four an hour and have found little hours. There are so many types of visas. I am canadian and have never had any trouble crossing the border. I just want to be able to go back to see my fiance so bad and be with him. I am off work currently with reoccurring tendonitis issues. I sat on my butt thru the winter time when I stayed in Texas. ( I could maybe go back for a month , but not at the cost of the flights, it alost isn't worth it ). My question is , is it IMPOSSIBLE for me to return for six months, or possible if I apply for a tourist visa and return sooner? will the tourist visa impede the ability to apply for a fiance visa? are we as canadians allowed to spend time in the USA, return home for a short set time, and then go back? are there any other visas I could apply for that i could use other than the tourist? any input or links to pages would be very much appreciated. Thank you so much.

  4. I just thought of something thats really silly...

When I fill in the fiance letters of intent do I Keep "Fiance letter of intent" on the top of the letter, (as in the sample forms) and same with the I-129F Cover letter?

And what address do I use on those? I'm filing through Texas, and heard they all go to texas now to speed things up. Do I use the Texas address on all of them? And then they forward it to the appropriate place?

Thanks..sorry these are pretty silly questions!!!

  5. I have been staying in the USA since November, I took a leave of absence from my jobs since I have bad medial epycondilitis of the elbow, a form of tendonitis. We decided he would work and I would just stay home and do house chores until my arm gets better, or until I am legal. We haven't filed yet (just have to finish his G-325 A). I read something online, is this true?

"Canadians we can visit the US for up to 6 months at a time, or per calendar year, whichever comes first."

I have a five year old step son here, and he sometimes has abandonment issues, (his step dad is in Iraq). I'm hoping that I can stay longer....I dont ever want to break any laws because I would never chance being denied being with my family. Any insight into this would be helpful, thanks.

PS I am going back for march... and then I'll be staying in the USA with my family until the Visa is final. So it probably wouldn't matter if this is true, because if it goes six months until the papers, I'll be legal and this wouldn't apply to me. I just dont want to be away from my family.

  6. Hi fellow Canadians!!

I'm wondering if there are any ladies that are living/visiting the Waco area with their s/o. I'm just looking for friends as it gets sortof boring doing nothing. My husband works evenings. I dont mind whatever your age or race...children or not, I love kids, I have a step son that comes to visit every once in a while. I will be here till march then Im due to return across the border.

  7. My fiance does have a case that was about 12 years ago, the charge was brought down to a smaller charge and then exponged. However I am unsure wether to include this or not in the paperwork, should I include it anways? We had trouble even gaining entry into Canada...because it came up as a felony even though that should have been removed years ago from the database ( so we were told). HELP!

    thanks

  8. Dependant on what chat you use, you want to go into options and check off the box that says "keep chat logs" or something similar. Then when you open these logs (they should be filed away in a word document or .txt document) then you can print them off that way. good luck!

  9. Hello fireflychaser! I'm not from the WA area but I do have a high school friend from Canada who now lives in the Issaquah, WA area. She came on a K3 and is now done with removal of conditions & is in her mid 20's.

Anyways if you want I can get her email addy for you with permission of course!

How far are you in the immigration process?

yeah no prob that would be great. my honey got into an accident right before we were going to file, and he was just ready to move too, so we though it would be more important to move and heal up before we applied. soon though! my email is firefly_chaser@yahoo.ca

  10. Hi everyone!

I am a 30 yo canadian woman, and I spend alot of time visiting in WA and I'm looking for women who are here visiting their spouses on a regular basis. As our visa isn't processed yet, I just come down a few weeks at a time. I like going for walks, I love animals, like going dancing once in a while, and like a good laugh. Love children but yet dont have any. Friends of all ages and countries are welcome to message me! I would just like friends who have a similar story to be able to hang out with once in a while, as I would like to be able to transition here and have some new friends with things in common. Thanks a bunch look forward to hearing from you all!

    Cheers!

  11. Don't worry about coming and going - I go to the US quite often and i haven't had any problems. Once I said I was going to see my fiance, they ask how long, sometimes ask where I work and the last time I went down to the US. If you have intentions of NOT returning on said date and becoming illegal, then it would be an issue. but I think there is no problem with him going back and forth..as long as Canada can tie him to a job, home, etc. any ties to his country. good luck. I have been engaged since june but have not filed paperwork as of yet.

  12. Well I hope it works out for you two. If you see issues with finances and such arrising now, and you just think it may be too stressful, just take it day by day. But you will have to decide for YOURSELF if this move is what YOU want and what's in the best interest for the two of you in the long run.
