  3. I feel sad to hear this.. i remembered Josephine a fellow Vj member..

she told me she failed after her interview because of her NBI clearance.

but after 3 weeks she got her visa..

sometimes God has His own reason.. He gives us test that will strengthen us..

I will keep you both in my prayers and i know you will pass all the test.

    Thanks Kaibigan...

Can Josephine give us more details, what was the next step she did?

I am trying to figure out what the options are from an honest mistake..

.especially in our case when the mistake was made from a foreign government putting the wrong birth date on a certificate...

Any help is greatly appreciated at this time.....

did you asked your fiancee all the details ? Maybe she just need an additional documents like what happened to me and i thank god after two weeks they approved my visa...dont lose your hope God is always with us ok..God bless you both..

  5. Hi everybody,

I found this site very helpfull to my K1 visa application. All of you guys are very resourcefull. I have a question regarding the interview in Manila. Is it strickly English speaking or are they going to provide a translator upon request?? My fiancee can speak little English but he has trouble engaging English conversation. We are both Filipino so we have no problem with our communication. My I-129F application was approved but I am worried he wont be able to get through the interview because of communication barrier. Is anybody have any idea?? :crying::crying:

Well, I have no idea if they provide a translator as I haven't been interviewed yet..but i don't think they will. You are not the only person your fiance is going to interact to when he gets to US so i think English fluency is a must during interview, you need to show the officer that you can communicate well. Good luck po.

hi nothing to worry about ok......at interview the consulate will ask your fiancee if she need a translator and just answer yes and the consulate will call the filipino on his/her behind...then they will translate into our own language (tagalog) during the interview....just keep praying that she will get the PINK...just relax ok...

  6. My wife interview on 8/5/09, she answer every question well but got stupid blue sheet.( in attachment)

they requested nonsense evidence like I-864A which I don't need to file one( I file I-864 annual income $38000 only I and my wife in the household).

then they asked chronology(timeline). I dont know what kind of timeline they need, they want a letter or detail listing ?

    anybody help, please

Ca'nt attach more, I have same post have picture of blue slip here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=211453

hi i know how you feel rigth now but there's nothing to worry about it ...i had a same situation like you before ...i got a blue slip but after submitting those additional documents they needed they approved and now we got our visa..just send those additional documents they needed and they will issue your visa soon...and dont feel mad to the consulate bec they just helped you to complete your requirements....goodluck and god bless...

  7. Hoy we got the PINK today, wife told me only three question asked:

Who is this name? (Mother of husband )

Who is this name? (Father of husband)

    What is his age? (Husband)

Ask for Photo’s and emails. Looked at both and hands them back.

Statement from Co, I see your daughter has US citizenship already. Visa Approved !

  10. To all K1 members who interviewed in US Embassy Philippines...I just wanna ask if the AIR21 gave your tracking number after the interviewe even they put on hold your papers or i mean pending cause of additional documents or they just text your tracking number before you receive your visa...????Bec i can't remember if they gave my tracking number after my interview:bonk:

  11. Unemployment benefits can be considered as income but because of the temporary nature (never mind its usually low amount) not much weight is given to it. It certainly can and should be reported as income but if overall income is below or even just above the minimum required - a co-sponsor should be considered.

hi thank you for replying. For K1 visa they don't accept co-sponsor here in Manila US Embassy..

    Yes they do.

    yes 99.9%

  13. hi it me again..my fiance had been collect his unployment benefits from Aug. 2008 - Aug. 2009... my question is it can be consider this as a proof of a current income??? bec i plan to send this too to usem with his employment certificate, payment stub and his certificate as a student..somebody can give me an advice...plz...thank you

  14. Look into installing direct tv and dish network. After installing hvac for over 16 years, I was medically retired after being on workers comp for 1 1/2 years I found this job and learned it in like 5 days. Now I make over $4000-5000 a month and don't work very hard at all!

hi its me again i just want to help you and give you an advice that dont focus on co-sponsor bec for K1 they not accept it. The consulate will tell directly to your faincee during the interview based on my experienced. Most important you going to do now is find a job that will meet the poverty guidelines ok...Just read my post topic so that you will know and have an idea bec i shared what ive experienced bec i was interviewed last June. Dont lost hope ok just have faith in God and be patience looking for a job.Ok God bless you and goodluck.....

  15. The guidelines for the I-134 are 100% of the poverty line. For the I-864 it is 125%. Many of the consulates use the 125% standard for the I-134 as well. It appears that Manila does not.

So i am guessing HCM uses only 125% for I-134.

Yes, and typically does not accept co-sponsors for the K visas.

my fiance have job now and he meet the poverty level it is possible that they will issue me a visa soon and if yes how long i am going to wait again..i really miss my fiance so bad... :(

In my opinion you should wait for one or two pay periods so that you can submit pay stubs along with the employer letter. That would be better evidence of his new income.

his boss told him that they will pay him every week so is that ok if i am just show his two weekly payment stub?

is there anyone who just interviewed and same situation like me???

  16. Hello my VJ family, well i got bad news today .... After hearing rumors of possible lay offs, that became a reality today... the truck driving company i "worked for " layed 1500 people off.. starting with the newest ones first(me included). The economy has hit everything hard .... and we have the K1 pending now.. OMG my judy is going crazy. i have applied to every company i can Google up . and 99 % say the same thing , " must have at least_______ months experience to apply".... well i only have 1 month and then the layoff. that doesn't qualify me to work for them.... how does one get experience if they won't hire you ??? that was our only hope to be approved cause it paid so well,,, unless there's something i don't know that i could do to meet the 125%... as far as assets i have a bit of savings and a nice home and 2 nice cars . can those be used as assets that will help to be approved?. also, i can get my brother to co sponsor, BUT i hear the Manila embassy doesn't accept co sponsors... if i had another job driving or if my VJ family knows of another job driving that would take 0 experience , i would appreciate it so much... i am a non drinker ,nonsmoker and non drug user . i will do any type of drug test required . i need work... these $7 per hour jobs around me won't meet the 125% the embassy wants .... i am sorry to post this here and sound like i am begging and pleading but, actually i am , cause i don't know what to do now... she is my life and IF we fail the visa , then i will have to sell everything here and move there... please someone , give me work till the interview comes along (hopfully i will have a new job soon), but please any help or advice ... Wayne ........sorry , if i posted in the wrong forum :help:

It's kind of a race against time in your case. If your 2008 income is over the limit, you will be fine as long as you have your interview this year. If the case drags out until 2010, then they will want to see 2009 income.

in my case my fiance 2008 income tax meet the poverty level too but the consulate told me that they still need a current income sustained means you need to work and show the current proof of evidence....

  20. Hi I am Brian and my fiancée Cherry Lyyn, Cherry has a 2 1/2 year old son, who's father has never been involved in his life and we don't know where the father is. Cherry was never married before however the father's name is on the birth certificate of her son. So her son has effectivly been abandoned. No paperwork has ever been filed for abandonment. We are wondering what will be required to bring her son to the US as an attachment to our I-129 F.

Please help us in figuring this out. Thank you. :star:

hi we have the same situation with your fiancee i have a daughter she is nine years old so since his father were not married even his name attached on my child birth certificate just send her son birth certificate and she must put his name to your application and when you fill up your I34 form you should write his name on your fiancee number of child. ....good luck and god bless..
