  1. QUOTE (Golden Gate @ Dec 3 2009, 08:29 AM) QUOTE (chinese_mutt @ Dec 3 2009, 02:25 AM) I got BS Business Administration degree.. can I also get teaching job? Just wondering.

You can go back to school and obtain your teaching credential. Having a math background is very helpful, as they are always looking for math teachers. You can bring your transcripts to a college and have them review it, to see what courses you would need to take for a credential. You might need only education courses and psych courses, if you have enough math. School Districts like to hire people who have real world experience in their field, so they encourage such people to go into teaching.

Yep, you need the course-by-course credential evaluations, general evaluation is not enough. They used it in licensing and continuing education if you want a teaching credential.

what website did u use for your evaluation reports? ECE.ORG OR IERF.ORG?

  2. If the Republic of PI is OK with your marriage, no CO at a US consulate will think any differently....

Well I think so, and I believe that is their policy. To get marriage license in your residence and that is what we did, but the thing is the venue, is different as we wanted something private and outdoor. For me, if we got a marriage license in town where we had the real ceremony, that is kinda lying as neither me nor my husband lives there. So I really hope it won't be a problem.

we have on the same boat...:) we got married here in makati but in our marriage cert.(place of marriage)sta.mesa manila...hope it will not be a problem during my interview.I think its just the way it is...:)

  3. A short letter from the USC explaining the lack of returns should be enough, with a reason. Here is what my husband wrote- this was accepted no problem:

    To Whom It May Concern:

I am Mr Penguin, Penguin's husband and petitioning sponsor. I did not file an income tax return for the years 2005, 2006 or 2007 because I have not worked during my 3 year residence within the Republic of Ireland. Once I came to Ireland, I was unable to find work and so used savings; I was maintained by my wife upon her income and savings. Since I made no income for these years of any type, I was not required to file an income tax return with the Internal Revenue Service.

    Sincerely, Mr Penguin.

Thankyou,Penguin----I have not worked at all the last 6 years, but have received interest on savings, which counts as income. Luckily(for thispurpose),I only have been getting very little interest earnings---2 to 3 %...during these bad times....and yearly has been no more than 7000$. I guess I will write a very simple letter saying that.. Thanks agn...:)

  4. Did you submit the I-130 directly to the embassy, with proof that the USC has lived in the Philipines for 6+ months legally? If so, it will automatically be processed as DCF, because non-DCF cases have to be sent by the petitioner to a lockbox in the USA.

Hi,we submitted I-130 directly to the Embassy with all the requirements. My husband has lived in Philippines for 2 and a half years legally.

Thank you guys..I'll put our timeline here very soon... :)

  5. Hi. I am from Philippines. My husband is american and i am a filipina. And we are filing DCF in USE Manila. I have some few questions on about filing DCF.

    1. What is composed of 1-130 or i mean set of 1-130 to submit to the US emabassy?

    2. How much do we have to pay upon submittion of 1-130?

    3. After submittion, what is next?

Can u pls help me about the step by step procedure and docs and forms to be submitted and the fees?

have a nice day and God bless!

Go to USEM manila, window 35 and get I-130 forms which is alien petition. You can ask all about the requirements there, they are very helpful.

Filing fee is $355 after you completed your I-130 requirements...

  6. At this point, I would suggest contacting an immigration attorney. If you put "I don't know" I think you are opening a huge can of worms you don't want to open, plus it will likely delay your case significantly. But, if you put no, and their search reveals otherwise, they catch you for lying. Seriously, find an immigration attorney and enlist their help on this one.

What can the LAWYER do? that we can't do??
