  1. We were approved!!!! We were Approved!!! Please read my review or you can message me and I will answer anything you need to know about our experience. To summarize though, my fiance said that the interviewer was a real well, not a very nice man lol............ to put it nicely, but he did not crumble under the pressure and kept his composure and passed the interview. It lasted only 10 minutes, and he was approved. My fiance was very well organized and prepared with our chat logs neatly put into binders. A photo album of 150 pics of my 3 trips to morocco (the last one being for the interview) All of our forms and income proof in seperate folders, everything they needed was there and then some proof to back up our proof was even there. The interviewer looked at 2 pictures and looked at my plane ticket stubs, thats it. He told my fiance "Unfortunately, you are very organized and very well prepared, your visa is approved". He will be entering the US this Saturday. Thanks be to God!!!! I wanted to let everyone here at VJ know we passed and if anyone wants to ask me questions I will happily answer them to the best of my knowledge. Although I did not post much here, I did read daily on Visa Journey and I am so happy I did as alot of the things I read were helpful in our process. Thanks so much to everyone!!!!

  2. This is our experience from April 2nd (K3 interview) and May 14th (CR1 interview)

My husband and I followed both the K3 and CR1 tracks. His first interview was with a blonde woman who tried to trick him on a few questions however he was able to answer everything. He said the most important thing was to remain calm and to be sure of your answers. At one point she asked him to tell everything I have done in my 29 years, and he corrected by saying my wife is only 26. The interview only lasted about 20 minutes and we were put into AP.

For the CR1 interview about 6 weeks later he had a woman with long black hair who was very nice with him. The interview took like 5-6 minutes and she asked typical questions, when.. how... where did you meet and tell me more about your wife. He told her things until she told him to stop.

Every person we spoke with at the consulate was very helpful and they respond quickly to e-mails. All in all, the Casablanca was very good for us.

He was called 2 weeks the CR1 interview to drop off his passport and picked it up the next day.

Thanks so much I appreciate your help !

  3. My fiance's interview is coming up very soon in Casablanca, it is November 2nd. I will be flying there soon to meet him and be able to be with him on that day. I am just wondering if anyone has had a recent interview there and how it went? I looked in the embassy specific reviews but nothing new since March 25th as far as I can see. If you would be so kind as to share your experiences with me I would be so thankful!!!!

  4. ahhhh... thanks MouadsWife.. that is the clearest answer i have seen from all the times i have asked about this lol

I see that your interview date is just a few days before ours. Ours is November 7th! After you have yours, please let us know how it went ok? Have you been able to get any costs of medical fees? My fiance called 2 doctors, and one quoted 1500dh, and another 1800. The one for 1500dh converts to about $197.00. There is a female doctor that everyone is saying we should go to. Why I dont know. But I dont have a cost on her yet. She told my fiance to wait 15 days before the interview to get it done. But I dont want to wait at the last minute. We are going to try to get ours done by the end of the month. Not sure how much it will cost to get the other things done like the police certificate, court certificate and singlehood certificate.

I will definitely let you know how it went he has already had his physical done he went on Tuesday the 6th of Ocotber he said his physical was about 200 USD

  5. Posted in other forum but I got the suggestion to post here too. I wrote the casablanca embassy today and asked if My fiance had to bring the affidavit of support form with him or if he had to mail it in to the embassy before his interview on November 2. I received a response from the consulate stating that the Affidavit of support is not required for the K1 interview in Casablanca...... Has anyone hear have any answers or comments to this? I am going to have him bring it anyway but just was wondering for sure if anyone knows if he does or does not have to have it or what your experience might have been with this? Thanks so much for responding ...................

  6. Better to have too much information than not enough (my motto) and if they don't need it then they don't need it, but better to have it in case they ask for it.

Most definitely... Thanks again for your help on this one. His interview is November 2 and we are preparing everything now, I was just confused when I received that email and coming here was the first thing I thought of. Thanks so much for responding and helping me out. Good luck with you too~!

  7. It says here in the guides http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1guide that it is required. After you sign it and get it notarized, then make 2 copys of it, mail your spouse a copy for the interview, keep a copy and send the original copy to the USCIS (just so you have additional copies in case)

I did read the guides yes and thankyou for your response. I guess I am just wondering why the consulate would tell me it is not a requirement? I will have him bring it with him though just to be on the safe side. Thanks again for your help!

  8. I am looking for some help. I emailed the consulate in morocco and asked them about the affidavit of support to see if the form should be mailed in or if my fiancee should bring it with him on his interview day. I got a response back from the embassy stating that the affidavit of support is NOT required for K1 visa interviews. I am confused as from what I have read here and what my attorney tells me this is a requirement? I am wondering if anyone here has an answer? Thanks so much for helping me out........................

  9. Not sure if I am in the right place for this but I am giving it a try. We received our NOA2 today and wanted to post it so maybe to help others with hope in there timelines. We received our NOA1 on march 19, 09 and got our NOA2 today Aug 11, 09. waited 145 days. We filed with the Vermont Service Center. Hope this can help with others that are waiting. Visa Journey is a great place with many great people Thanks so much, never posted before so forgive me but I read and read here everyday!!! Thanks to all!

Congrats on your NOA2, things should move quickly now.

You should look at posting in your appropriate forum. Under the K1 visa processing, there should be a MARCH FILERS group that is for the Vermont Service Center.

Is your fiance going to interview at the Casa consulate?

Thankyou wasnt sure where to post but wanted it out there and yes he will be going to the interview in Casablanca.
