  1. Wondering over certain questions my husband and i might get asked, and have no idea if they'd even bother or not. There are a few things that worry me:

    - I didn't submit AOS until about 3 months after our wedding, i don't even have a valid reason for that, i guess i just didn't think there was a time limit, and time flew by. Will this be something that will set off suspicion from the IO?

    - the only solid things we have that our in both our name is our health and dental insurance, tax's and our joint bank account. Do you think that will be enough? I'm planning on taking affidavits from my husbands parents and my dad, and personal emails and messages also.

-I'm also from a small family, and due to poor health my dad couldn't fly over to be at our wedding, and my mom died when i was young, so sadly no one from my side could be there. I'm worried they will pick on that too.

Has anyone been in my shoes?

Thanks for all your feedback in advance :)

  2. Hi all,

Today i received an AOS interview, for my husband and i to go to. My only concern is that they have scheduled it at 1:45pm. It wouldn't have bothered me usually, if i had not read other people's afternoon experiences, and i also read somewhere else that its usually a bad sign to get an afternoon appointment rather than a morning appointment.

I'm from the UK, entered the U.S on an F1 visa, and got married almost a year ago.

Am i worrying for nothing, or do i really have something to worry about?

    Thanks in advance :)

  3. I sent off my I-130, and I-485, two days ago. What i now realize i shouldn't of done, is mail them to separate P.O box addresses.

    I sent the 1-130 with a check of $355 to USCIS P.O. Box 804625 Chicago, IL 60680-4107,

and the I-485 with a check of $1010.00 to USCIS P.O. Box 805887 Chicago, IL 60680-4120.

Having read some posts from here, i now realize that was a mistake. Does anyone know what will happen from here? Will they get rejected and sent back to me? I'm really worried!

    Thanks in advance

  4. Hi everyone!

I've been lingering here for a while reading and reading things, and although some things seem really clear, other things don't. I've also been told so many different things too, so my heads overloaded with different information and most of it is uncertain. I'm hoping you guys might help me with a few things :)

I entered the U.S on an F1 visa in 2008, and my beautiful husband and I got married just over a month ago, we had been together 3 years prior. My husband is a USC, born in California, and i am scottish. We got married in California and we both live together in Cali also. This week we are going to turn in all the paperwork required to change my status, so i want to know we have everything correct.

The documents i have are I-130

    I-345 (affidavit of support)

    I-864 (affidavit of support)

    I-765 (employment authorization)

    G-325a (bio)

    I-693 (medical)

Am i missing any documents? I'm unsure if i need to fill out the I-129/f? Also filling out the CR-1 sounds appealing and less expensive, but i'm unsure if i can seeing i am already living in America, i thought that was only open to people who lived overseas?

What other things do i need to add with these forms? How do i go about getting a police report from my home country? I've never come across this before and don't know how i'd go about it.

I'm also confused about the medical. I already went to get my medical and a blood test that tested for many of the things listed on the form, but not all of them, is this going to be a problem? And it also asks that a "civil surgeon" complete and sign the form, is this just a normal doctor?

Sorry for so many questions, but i hope you can help, its annoying how complex the process is!

Thanks to all in advance :D
