WOOHOO!!! Sign in failed!! FINALLY!!
It took us a LONG time to get through the NVC because of needing a sponsor. But finally, after two stupid RFE's, tonight we failed to login to the NVC payment site. Expecting a February interview now, but hoping for January (I know, it's probably not possible.) Man, what a long journey it has been so far, and we still have a couple months more. It is just not right that couples and families have to put their lives on hold and be separated like this.
Hope I'm not jumping the gun on assuming that the case is complete.

Our emailed DS-3032 was accepted today: it took 16 days. Seems like such a long time to tell them essentially nothing. Anyway, now the ball is back in our court.

Just wanted to chime in here that we're still waiting on our emailed ds3032 to be accepted.
It doesn't matter too much since we are waiting on our joint sponsor in order to send in the AOS. Everyone in the states should count themselves very lucky on the sponsorship portion of all this. Finding a joint sponsor has proved WAY more difficult than I ever imagined!

I am in on this group as well I got my NOA2 approval email and touch on Aug 26th but no hard copy yet. I have been following up with NVC and there is no case number yet.
I wanted to know if anyone else filed or is going to file a joint sponser affidavit of support as well... I am confused as to which form it should be. I've read i-864 in some placces and i-864a in others...
ANSWER: I-864
From the I-864EZ form:
You must complete Form I-864 (and not Form I-864EZ) if
any of the following conditions apply:
.
.
3. You are a joint sponsor;
I-864A is only for a household member or dependent of the primary sponsor

Hope this link will give you an idea. Goodluck!!!
2007 Technical Instructions for Vaccination for Panel Physicians
This publication is much more detailed and applies specifically to Panel Physicians conducting Overseas Exams. I do not see any addendums to this publication.
My wife is going to hate getting all these shots!

Yes, you can!
The people in the DFC forum can probably help you the most on this, but basically you'll just need to withdraw this I-130 petition when filing with the embassy. But DON'T withdraw it before the embassy gives you the ok.
Oh, and you'll actually need to be in Italy of course.

Hmm... Not sure why it was sent back since that is the exact address in the instructions. I suggest doing another EXPRESS delivery to the same address.
On a slightly different note, I received an NOA from CSC that had the incorrect ZIP CODE. Make sure to double check zip codes from NOA's before mailing.
Instead of the P.O. Box, you might also try the actual building:
USCIS
California Service Center
24000 Avila Road
Laguna Niguel, CA 92677
Write "I-129F ORIGINAL SUBMISSION" on the outside of the envelope.

starting to get worried. Is the "5 months" they claim binding? We have waited longer than that. Anyone else with an NOA before February 28 left?

Please fill in your timeline. It is the only way you can contribute to Igor's list.

If you filed your taxes for the last three years (and you MUST for this process,) then you can just send IRS transcripts of those returns and forget about the actual copies of 1040 returns and W-2s/1099s. Use IRS form 4506-T to request transcripts, fill in 1040 for question 6 and check box 6a. Or just call them, (800) 829-1040.

I believe you will need to show that you have easily liquidable assets of $18,212 (125% of poverty line for 2 people) times 3 years (instead of 5 years because you are sponsering a spouse), which equals $54,636. Otherwise you'll need a joint sponser.

Hi,
I am a US citizen, and i am filing for my wife. She is in India currently. At the USCIS website on the form G325a it says that "exp 5/31/09" . Does this means that the form already expired. Can i still use this form?
Yep, that's the one. Note that it hasn't been updated since 07/2006. And even versions prior to that date are accepted per their website.
Also the city field in the form is not long enough for the name of the Indian city. I tried my best to squeeze the city name in it, but i am not able to. Can i add an additional paper with the city name written on it.Leave it blank for now, and just hand write it in after you print it out.
You can certainly add an additional page, just make sure to properly title it and have your wife sign it. Probably best to have 4 copies.
Is it okay for me to file for my wife using her maiden name and once she arrives in the US, i can get her name changed. For the I-130, use what ever name is on your marriage certificate (probably maiden.) Then at the NVC level and beyond, use the married name.
Hope that helps. These responses are just information that I have read here on VJ and/or what I did on my petition.

Good luck to both of your cases. Keep pushing on them. And thanks for the contacts in case mine goes astray like yours. God help us all.

That's great news!
I haven't read all the fine print of the I-864 yet, but just bring absolutely EVERYTHING that you can to the interview, and I would think you'll be fine.
Let us know how it goes.

I am a USC, and filed a I-130 petition to Adjust Status, last year for my wife while we still lived in the US. We since have moved to Israel and would like to continue the process, but are not sure which way would be best (read quickest.) We have three options:
1. File an I-824, Action on Approved Petition, to transfer our case to the NVC and then to the consulate. This seems to take from 4-6 months.
2. Re-file a new I-130 with USCIS, requesting CP in Jerusalem.
3. Wait three months until I have resided here the 6 month official minimum, in order to file Directly with the Consulate. And hope they won't give us any problems. We went to the consulate and they were very reluctant to help us at all, unless I had an ID which takes 5 years to acquire.
What should we do???
