Does anyone knows about the oath ceremony dates for the local office in memphis ? if notr, how can we obtain the dates ?

No.. They will only tell you if your fingerprints results sent back to USCIS or not. To check status of namecheck you will need to call USCIS and need to talk to IO or make infopass to local DO.

And if you call the FBI, couldn't they accidentally put you on their list of bad guys? Seems like if you pester too much or even at all, only sets you back.

When Emilio that Cuban refugee was made head of the USCIS, tells congress by his rate increase over two million applicants applied for citizenship before the rate increase took effect. But that dropped to 1.5 million, then a million, then actually 0.6 million actual applicants. Love it when they said he was requested to resign, can they be politically incorrect once in awhile and say he was fired?

Well with the new guy, things are running much much faster with more intelligent handling of applications, so leave them alone so they can process applications instead of answering the same old questions time and time again. Ha, on our recent visit to Milwaukee, wife and I were the only ones there, is anybody finding packed field offices?

When i have called the FBI TODAY they already told me that the fingerprints were sent the same day that they were done. Maybe that was the reason !!!

Everything looks good now... looks like small list for month of May.... Well I had my fingerprint taken today at ASC Atlanta and was done in 15 mins.

I guess now real journey begins with USCIS and hope don't take as long as 751....

Just got off the phone with the FBI (304-625-5590, then options 2, 5, 3).

Fingerprinting results were sent back to USCIS yesterday, so now I'm waiting for the interview letter...

Time line:

03/14/2008: Mailed N-400 to Texas Service Center

03/18/2008: Texas Service Center received my application (per the USPS return receipt)

03/18/2008: Priority Date

03/18/2008: Check Deposit Date

03/19/2008: Check Cleared by my Bank

03/26/2008: I-797C- Notice of Action mailed - "You should expect to be notified within 210 days of this notice"

03/26/2008: I-797C- Notice of Action mailed - Biometrics Appointment scheduled

04/15/2008: Biometrics Appointment @ 0900 CST in San Antonio

04/15/2008: FBI sent fingerprinting results back to USCIS

XX/XX/2008: I-797C- Notice of Action mailed - Interview scheduled
