  1. I have a question about the medical exam before the interview, if the spouse has a daughter that is 14 years of age does the daughter also need to have a medical exam?

The problem is the medical in China is only performed when the Appointment Letter is shown and this letter only has the mother's name.

Did you also petition her daughter? if yes, she needs to have the medical also, and with your case in China, you need to wait for the appointment letter of our step daughter.

  2. Hello fellow members,

Today i received a letter from USCIS informing me that my kid's papers is now being forwarded to the NVC.What is next?

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=examples

    "Sworn Affidavit from Friends"

    "Extra Affidavit Example information"

Thank you. I want to know if my friends and relatives who has a sworn affidavit has to provide a valid IDs and xerox it ....

No need for any IDs. Just their signature on the affidavit is enough. we did submit an affidavit without any attachment and we have not encountered any problem.

    Thanks.

  10. I'm done with my interview @ US Embassy Manila... and got the famous PINK which means... APPROVED

Thanks to all VJ'ers for guiding me on this journey... BIG, BIG THANKS TO ALL OF YOU...

    Here's my interview experience...

    Got December 08, 2009 interview (6:30AM)

    Left in the house: 4:30AM

Arrived at US Embassy Manila: 6:40AM (a little bit late coz of car accident along South Luzon Expressway)

First, i presented my appointment letter and my ID to one of the guards at Immigrant / US Citizen Lane, then the guard told me to proceed to Gate 2 (NO electronic devices allowed and any liquid stuff). Upon entering Gate 2, they asked me to put my bag on the xray machine for bag screening then after that I followed the BLUE ARROW then the guard looked for my appointment letter again and fall in line to get my priority number, then my number flashed on the screen after 5mins. for pre-screening.

    PRE-SCREENER QUESTIONS:

    1) What is your name?

    2) Who is your petitioner?

    3) How did u meet?

    4) When was the last time you saw him?

    5) Proofs (Photos, Emails, Chat Logs, Remittances)

    6) When did u get married?

    7) Do you have previous marriage before this marriage?

    8) How about your husband? Do he have previous marriage before this marriage?

After the pre-screening i was told to proceed to finger scanning, then after about 15mins. my number was flashed again on the screen for final interview. As I've entered the room I saw a tall white american ( i don't feel any nervous upon seeing him... hehehe... he's nice and in good mood).

    FINAL INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:

    1) What is your name?

    2) Who is your petitioner?

    3) Raise your right hand and swear...

    4) How and where did u meet?

    5) When did u get married?

    6) Do you have previous marriage before this marriage?

    7) How about your husband? Do he have previous marriage before this marriage?

    8) Do you or your husband have children?

    9) How young are you and your husband?

    10) What does he do for living?

    11) Where is your husband's present address?

    VISA APPROVED...

CONSUL: wait for your number outside for instruction about releasing your visa.

ME: Thank you and have a nice day sir!

After just 1min. my number was flashed again on the screen and got the famous pink slip and proceed to Air21 booth to pay for my visa delivery.

Left in US Embassy Manila: 8:30AM (wow, that was so fast...)

That's it, as simple as that. The consul will just ask you and your husband's personal information...

ok... hope it will help you somehow on your upcoming interview... GOODLUCK...

GOD is good all the time... I am so blessed... Thank GOD...

Thanks for sharing your experience Precious! :-)

When are you planning to leave? your POE is L.A right? please P.M me if you will fly by Dec 21-23. Im planning to fly on that day.

Thanks again and congrats to you and to your husband! :-)

  11. Hi guys!

I got an appointment for my visa interview and I have some questions regarding this.

    Question 1:

My appointment in the US consulate in Frankfurt is at 9:30 am and on the letter it says that my medical appointment is on 7:30 am the same day. I am worried that the medical takes longer and I will not make it on time to the visa interview appointment. Can I just go a day before to the doctors or will he not take me in, because my invitation is for another day?

    Question 2:

My fiancees dad will be my co-sponsor. He got his U.S. citizenship through naturalization. I have to write down his naturalization number for question 1 on the I-134 form.

In some forums I was reading that I also have to provide a copy of his "Certificate of naturalization".

But is it even allowed to make a photocopy of the „Certificate of naturalization”? On the left bottom corner it is mentioned that “It is punishable by U.S. law to copy, print or photograph this certificate."

    Question 3:

For the visa interview I have to bring a lot of papers like: police certificate, certified copy of birth certificate, I-134 form etc.

Do I have to make a copy of the whole package and bring it to the interview or do I just turn in each paper once?

    thanks for your help

    - Tobias

    Hi,

My appointment and medical has also the same date... but here in Philippines, we need to have our medical exam, 7 days before the interview date, medical here in philippines is done in 2 days. and St lukes (accredited hospital of US embassy) is the one who will submit the result to embassy.

My conclusion is, you can have your medical right after you receive your interview, the date in your appointment letter is just a referrence that you need to finish your medical before your interview.

Well, that's just my conclusion.. thanks.

  12. I have to drive down to Bangkok for 8 hours and one day before the interview date. I have 2 heavy bags for this interview and one x-ray film..I just bring everything with me. I dont know how I am gonna be on that day...turbo speeding??..lol..

I try to relax here by keep cleaning my house since Saturday and lucky me, my son helps me that too..Wondering if anybody has some activities to do while you guys are waiting for the interview? and for whoever is waiting for log in fail or before POE..anyway, good luck for everyone..

    Best wishes from me..

    xo!

Angela here. i make my self busy going to gym, spending most of my time with my family here...

time moves so slow since i've got the interview sched.. :crying:

  13. i am so stressed and excited on the upcoming interview.. i cant sleep at night... everyday i count the days and hours... its so near and yet its stil very far! how can we overcome this feeling?

I am working and eventhough im busy working, I used to paused and think of my interview and also the day that musashi and i will be reunited.... cant wait that to happen! gosh!! :-)

    Thanks.

  14. Just have this question do i need to put how much money in the bank and need a proof...how about if the applicant dont have savings and have a nice job and a nice salary but its just enough for everything....is he still need a co-sponsor.....well im just being nosey and confused about this matter....

    Hi,

If you meet the 125% poverty line. you dont need to put how much many you have in the bank.. and you wont need a co-sponsor too...

you just need to present them:

    1. recent year of your ITR with W2

    2. your previous three years ITR with W2 (optional)

    3. employment letter (see sample format here in VJ

    4. 6 months recent pay stub.

you can use I-864EZ instead of I-864 if you are just petitioning your wife. But if she has kids/dependents, you need to use the I-864.

    hope this helps.

    Thanks.
