Hi , i just updated my biometric app but i forgot what day i recieved it , anyways i recieved 2 biometric appointments bcz i sent i90 and i751 , if you wonder why i sent the i90 , it was bcz i entered to USA after 2 yrs of mariage and i tought i was eligible for 10 yrs not 2 , they addmit i was eligible for 10 yrs but they denied the i90 bcz it was less than 90 days to apply for i751 anyways . now i'm waiting on my i751 decision . good luck for everybody

What is the expiration date on your Green Card? I know you said you sent it back so you don't have it but do you remember? You said your visa's expiration day was April 19, 2013. Do you mean the expiration date on your GC? It seems that you received a 2-year GC and you have to remove conditions.

Filing I-90 will not automatically get you a 10-year GC if you received a 2-year one. It doesn't matter that you believe that you should have gotten a 10-year one, you still have to ROC. What did you state as reason for application? They accepted your I-90 but they probably think that you lost the card and need a new one. So you most likely lost a I-90 filing fee and still have to ROC.

my expiration day is April 19 2013 , i called uscis last year and explained my situation and a supervisor suggested that i should file i90 and send a copy of my green card but choose reason number D , uscis mistake , i've seen some cases like that here and that what motivated me but i waited for long bcz i was scared to send my green card .

the uscis asked me for the original green card on march 20 and i sent it to them , today they gave me a fingerprint and biometric appointment , i did file the i751 before the expiration day of my visa just to be safe , i kept calling them for months and explaining the situation but they didn't know what to tell me , i'm just so confused about the fingerprint appointment is that mean they will correct my status and give me 10 yrs or it doesn't mean anything :S i went today the ups to track the money order but they said i cant track it before 60 days of buying it

i need your help guys plllllllllllllz plz plz i had a cr1 visa but i entered to usa after 2 years of marriage and i mentioned that to the officer in the airport and asked if he can use the ir1 stamp but he said i shouldn't be worried about the 10 yrs green card and should be exited of meeting my husband , we filed i90 last year bcz i believed i was eligible for 10 yrs visa not 2 , they didnt answer me until last few weeks when i had to file the i751 anyways , and asked for my original green card , i sent the original green card last march , and filed the i751 last April 9 ( my visa's expiration day was April 19,2013)now i dont have a green card and didnt receive the 1 year extension yet , but few minutes ago i went to uscis website to check the i90 status , this is what it says :S:S:S:S

is that mean they accepted my i90 and i'm getting the 10 yrs i was supposed to get ? or it mean nothing ? what about the 590$ i sent with the i751 ? should i cancel it if they didnt cash it yet ? i'm so confused i know the only way is to take an info pass but its very impossible right now coz its in a different state and we cant travel this week .

i have a question out of topic , did u know that u can file for citizenship after 2 yrs and 9 months of entering to the usa ? my sister told me that and she said i dont have to wait for the i751 decision , we can just go ahead and file after 9 months from now . anybody heard about it ?

NOA stands for NOTICE OF ACTION. its a letter the USCIS mails to you letting you know they're processing your application. It will also extend your expired greencard for a Year. There is nothing you can do to get it faster than others. it depends on who gets their hands on your application and how quick they start working on it! its just luck!.. so good luck to you

I think you are a little confused. Read the instructions at the bottom of the list again and everything will be clearer.

The NOA1 is an unofficial name for the letter USCIS sends you confirming they got your petition and that your green card is extended for another year past its expiration date, work and travel authorized.

The date you see on the list is the date of receipt ON THE LETTER (so the date the application was received by USCIS), NOT the date we received the letter in the mail. I sent my package on April 2, it got there April 3 (Southern California to Southern California, s it was quick). They issued the letter apparently on the day when they received it, and I got the actual letter in the mail on APRIL 8, even though it was issued April 3.

If one lives in a state that is far away from their Service Center, then it could take a week or more for the letter to reach them. Don't worry too much. You only filed a week ago, my guess is you will be getting your letter later this week or early next week sometime.

Thanks, Puretaqwa . That is exactly what I did. It was already on its way, but I filled out this special form and they are going to intercept the package and send it back to me. I am very relieved, although it cost me $25.

HELP!! Me and my husband just sent in our entire I-751 packet and left out the payment check. We are both so freaked out!! I am wondering what we should do. Should we wait to see if they just send it back? I mailed it priority (2-3 days) and I am wondering if I should overnight the check by itself with a letter explaining the situation and hope that it gets there before the packet. Does anyone have any idea what is the best thing to do??

my friend forgot her application and she went back to the post office , she asked them to return the package asap , and then she sent it again . they will reject your file if it has no money inside

Sounds like you entered very close to your 2 year anniversary, as you were married in April 2009. I am not sure you can correct the card after almost a year. It may be quicker to go through ROC (Removal of Conditions), but hopefully others with experience in this matter will chime in.

my second anniversary was april 16 , 2011 , i came to America april 19 , 2011 and i received the green card may 2011

You have been in the USA for many months now, if you were given the wrong greencard at POE, you should have corrected this as soon as you got the card in the mail. When was that?

i received it last may , but i didnt know i could correct it , now i need to leave the country for 2 years and planning to apply for a reentry permit , it will help me alot to have a 10 years green card because mine will expire april 2013

birdy - yup ! IMO, it's worth the extra time at the POE, to have an eyeball review of the marriage certificate, to initiate that conversation with the big boss at the POE. Who cares if it takes 2 or 3 extra hours? Who cares if yer already stressed out from the travel? Who cares that yer mind is numb from standing in line, waiting to get processed?

It really is on the head of the intending immigrant, to 'make it happen', at the POE. The truly sad part, is that most CBP staffers are not trained to pick up on dates, visually, without first being PRODDED with conversation about it.
