Eric and I met in May 2008 while in Belize. I was participating in an anthropology field school through my university and he had been traveling through Central America for about four months. We were actually sort of introduced by the bar tender at the local bar. We spent three (awesome) days together and then he had to leave. We emailed until I got back to the states (four weeks) and then talked on the phone almost every day for six weeks until he flew down to Houston, Texas from Vancouver. He was here for two weeks and we had a blast. I fell so in love with him and knew he was the man I would marry and have babies with and spend the rest of my life with. Two months later he 'moved' to Austin (I had just started a new job there) and he stayed for six months (the max his visitor's visa would allow). I just moved up to WA almost three weeks ago, with the intent to stay with him in Canada for awhile and the border patrol agents wouldn't let me cross. We've been staying in a motel since then and he's been going back and forth everyday for work. Yesterday, the US border agents held him for THREE HOURS and then wouldn't let him cross. So we're stuck. And here we are.
