  1. I am glad to hear the great news friends,

I have some to share too! We just got our interview date, it is for Sept. 2nd, and as you can see on my signature -- I am going there to Germany to be with him soon! I am the happiest! We will be flying back together on Oct. 1st. Things are progressing well!

    ^_^

Good luck to everyone, and UGH paperwork, I too am not very fond of that either! I hope things go smoothly for you David and Ellie, ( and the kitten sounds cute too!)

  2. Thank you kindly Sara and NatPatBen!

I really hope things work out for the best, for everyone here and Sara, (hugs) that has been waiting for so long! Once it is all over you will have your whole life to cherish each other. I always keep that in mind. And in a way appreciate each other in ways most folks can't even begin to imagine!

  3. Hello friends,

I just wanted to update this thread since I have been posting here with you folks too,

As you can see we *Finally* got our NOA2 after 8 months of waiting and hearing ABSOLUTELY nothing at all. I checked the website out of habit after they updated it this month and low and behold we showed up when I put our receipt number in and we are also approved! I wish you all much luck, and never lose hope -- it will happen!

Thanks for listening to me in my struggles and helping me through this difficult time.

    Off to the next step!

  4. Just to let you folks know,

    Receipt Number: ******************

Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On July 17, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

I am in complete shock! FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. We put in a service request cause we honestly have no idea how our case status is doing and we can not look it up online or call them for the status ( due to the error some folks have... sadly we are one of them.) Well, and as you can see we are pretty late and we have no known errors! I got a letter from VSC stating that our case is currently under review and I should have a decision/action within 60 days of them sending that letter. Hmmm... well good to know they didn't lose our case somehow!

  6. To answer the second part of your question Allison:

My fiance and I are complete soul mates in every way, we want to be together and know we will have a wonderful life together. A few months ( or a year or two apparently) really is nothing compared to the joy we will have for the rest of our lives together. It is not easy, and emotionally I have my ups and downs mostly cause I miss him like heck, but I am greatful for things like skype and online, so we can still hear and see each other through it all. If you honestly love someone, this patience comes naturally to me at least.

  7. Nothing "special" or different at all in our case, we are two normal folks that love each other more then anything and qualify for this visa in every way, I can't honestly say why its taking so long for us but I just had some kind of form sent to find our status out, apparently it was something we can do since we are late and we have no known errors. I am clueless really on why we have the luck of this .

  8. I think that qualifies for a lot of us Cereza, But you know as long as you love and have each other and are there for each other this process only brings us closer and makes us appreciate each other in ways normal relationships can lack at times. I think when I get the phone call from my attorney with the NAO2 in I will feel more joy then someone who won a million dollars! Love is priceless. (F)

    P.S. Hang in there Sara!

  9. Greetings,

While my fiance and I are waiting for our NOA2 we have been doing research on the steps to do after. He is from Germany and he wanted to ask a question about the Military records, he has done mandatory time and wanted to know:

What we need for the Military report a Dienstzeugnis so the Kreiswerersatzamt knows what to send?

Any help will be much appreciated!

    Thank you kindly.

  10. Thanks you guys!

It has been a VERY rough time for the both of us, and we just don't have the money to keep visiting each other ( we rather save it for our future here. ) I am so GREATFUL for things like skype where we can see and hear each other everyday, so at LEAST we have that. We are hanging in there, we know that once this process is over we have our whole lives together. ;)

We actually do have an immigration attorney who has been helping us through the process, he told us that since the site says November 25th 2008 is being processed atm, that it actually is a 30 day window of Oct. 25th to Nov. 25th (Which we are in since we are the 12th ) ....so according to Vermont we are still not late until Dec. 13th and after. Heh.

I have called and when I finally get to talk to a human being I don't really get an answer other then I am still in the system and our paperwork is not lost but it is hard to rely on them as we all know.

I think one of the hardest things is waiting for that phone call from our lawyer to tell us we have our NOA2 in, every phone call gets my heart jumping for a moment!

Thank you for listening, and I will be sure to update when and if we get any news! I am really glad I stumbled across this site, it has been a lot of help.

  11. We got our NOA1 on November 12th 2008 and still never heard a word from them yet, and since the website is "broken" we just get an error looking up any information with our receipt number. We called in April and they said our forms where not lost and they where pending, but I am wondering if I should call again... we are still waiting at over 7 months now. I am so confused over the update....

    Thanks friends
