i have a similar experience, i filed in late September in VSC, file transfered to CSC. I got a letter last month stating that i would be receving an interview at local USCIS office, waiting for that now. YOu need to call your senator to see if that moves the process or gets you a response.

The I was lucky enough to be able to get an Infopass appointment yesterday to enquire about my case. The officer told me that it's still active and that they have everything they need to process my application - which started in Vermont, went to Missouri and is now somewhere in California!

She said it was last "touched" mid-July and that I should hear something between now and January 2010. Although the website says that they are processing apps from Feb 2009, she said that there are many people like me who applied before that date and still haven't had a decision.

Oh well, let the waiting game continue...

i had the same problem, i filed mine in October 2008, scheduled and infopass, my file was touched in July '09 and was told to wait. My application was transferred to CSC on March 2009. My extension letter expires in October, 09. The IO told me to get the stamp some time in September if no action is taken by then. I know its frustrating but it is the system.

I am thinking about going to Mexico and I found out that being a permanent resident I will not need a visa. I did not receive the green card yet and I just have the extension letter. I am afraid about the immigration guards in Mexico not being familiar with this paper. Has anybody here experienced something like that?

Any advice will be appreciate.

I did go to Mexico with my PR card before expiry, had a few problems at the airport check in and boarding due to different names. Other than that i wasnt required to have a visa. HOpe this helps.

CONGRATS Blessed n Favored - its been a long time coming and we all hope to get the same quick and positive response- still waiting here- sent inquiry via senator.

OMG I am soooooooooooooooooo happy, very relieved to hear that I have been approved! What happened is that I called the mis-information line yesterday to make an inquiry about my case and I got this gentleman who was very nice...really polite I might add and at first all he did was gave me the same info that I had from the online status thing which still says transferred to CSC as of March 2nd 2009. The last time my case was touched was on March 5th as far as what I can see online. So after verifying all my info and telling me that he can't make an inquiry or something for me because he had no way of telling whether I was outside the processing time or not for CSC because their info is no longer online, he took the initiative to transfer me to another dept where they would be in a better position to look into my inquiry and assist me further. So, I said very well and lo and behold I was transferred. This lady got on the phone with me and she was good too and I verified my info to her and sure enough she went like "Ma'am I see that some action was taken on your case on 05/29/09" and I was like what does that mean? Then later on she went ahead and told me that I was approved on that day and that I should be expecting my card in the mail in the next.... I can't remember how many days she said then she went ahead and asked me to verify my mailing address and I gave her my old one then told her that I had made a change of address and she was like...yeah that's probably why you haven't heard from us so she went ahead and updated my address with the new one. She said that I should be getting my new card sent to the new mailing address. Phew! Thank God! Thank you Jesus! Thank you all for your help and for all you guys waiting out there....please don't give up hope....your day is coming too...sooner than soon! Just keep up with that positive attitude! WOOOHOOOOOOOO!

Oh before I forget my timeline is as follows,

Mailed my packet 08/11/08 via express mail to TSC (Packet was then forwarded to VSC)

NOA Dated 08/16/08 (1 year extension letter)

Biometrics Taken 08/13/08

Transferred to CSC 03/02/09 Touched, touched again on 03/03/09 and 03/05/09

Approved 05/29/09 (Phone)

I haven't received any mail yet from them, no e-mail, no online updates. If any mail was sent it probably went to my hubby's mailing address.

we share about the same timeline and my status is still pending - waiting for my approval. was concerned that there are people who filed after and got approved in April and May, 2009.

hi - new to the forum - i noticed that too and called customer service who couldnt give a reasonable explanation for why CSC was missing. If someone can get a better answer please share - its quite frustratinggggg!!

1-800 customer service says since the service request is considered action within the last 60 days i have to wait for that time to lapse before taking any further action. correct me if i'm wrong.

hi i'm new to this forum and i'm in the same boat. my i-751 was transferred from VSC to CSC and received transfer notice via snail mail dated March 20th. no decision to date. i put in a service request on May 14th hence i cannot make an info pass appt until after 60 days if no decision is made. Yes please let us know what feedback you get from your local office.

i'm new to this forum and my timelines are similar to yours. received transfer letter from VSC to CSC on March 20th and did an inquiry May 14th. Case is still pending despite seeing other individuals with same timeline getting approved. due you think this means we will be called in for interviews at local office or will they eventually get to our files?

i put in a service request on May 14th by calling the 1-800 number to find out what is going on. this is the response that was mailed to me: "Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of action within 60 days of the date of this letter"

i never got any request for interview or addtional evidence. ANY IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS ON WHATS GOING ON???
