Hey all remember me? The drama king? Hey I should change my name here maybe. Maybe one of you experts can share with me what to expect next in the below scenario:

M+00 Got married.

M+05 Six months later she is charged with assault. Found not guilty (no evidence). Arrest is public record.

M+14 Adult child dies, she gets depressed.

M+17 Totals her car, kids taken by CPS. Arrested for child abuse, assaulting two cops, and DUI.

M+19 Ordered by court to go to AA/NA counseling. Kids remain with CPS. Visitation given.

M+20 Witnessed a murder.

M+21 Arrested for public intoxication.

M+21 Arrested for public intoxication again.

M+23 Time to file for removal of conditions. She ignores the paperwork I printed out for her, already filled in.

M+25 Back to court for the kids. She has failed to attent a single class. Kids not returned.

M+26 She now vigorously attends the classes. And stops drinking. Like is VERY GOOD with her sober.

M+27 Another court date on the M+17 issue. Another delay. Several actually.

M+30 Brings us up to today. Kids with CPS. Green cards expired. Issues with child custody. Issues with arrests.

....to be continued. How do you see this going, best and worst case scanarios?

Drop this one like a hot potato. I am serious. You're looking at more drama down the road considering what has already happened, sober or not. I realize many people deserve second chances, and if you're willing to give her one, you are a bigger person than me. If you choose the latter, keep your eyes very wide open and if more signs of drinking/kids still not returned/etc., you know what to do. And i wouldn't wait years and years of this kind of miserable before making that decision.

It's obvious she needs therapy - losing her adult child alone is bad enough and calls for help, but the drinking and other things clearly need to be addressed.

I got the exact same yellow letter on friday, and I am also in San Diego. Today I was notified by email that I am in line for interview scheduling.

It is funny they say 'arrest records' considering it was three traffic offenses. Speeding and two stop sign violations. I can't get the records for the first two offenses as I did traffic school. I am bringing my email that said I completed traffic school.

I am a little confused or maybe just a little retarded, but I recieved a yellow letter stating that I had to bring drivers licence and arrest records to the interview. is that what is known as in line for interview?

Got Biometrics notice today for 1/28 did succesful walk-in which is good because I leave for two months on Sunday.

Yes you still have to take the biometrics even though that you had one less then 12 months ago. And now USCIS won't refund you the biometrics fee lol. I wish they would. The reason is they could take it again later for your new application. Good luck.

A question for the guys who applied for N-400 this month and their ROC was last year, i heard the finger print valid for 12 mont, u guys still will do biometric ?

I submitted my immigrant visa application in US Consulate in Johannesburg in July 2012 and was given a given a green form 221(g) after the Interview from the Consular officer indicating that my wife who is the US citizen petitioner to file her 2011 US income tax return for the most recent year and bring proof of its filing which I did in 4days and returned there and gave them the said proof of filing. I was told that they will contact me to know when to pick up my visa and up till now, my passport is still with the consulate, yet no visa and I was recently told from my case worker that am on Administrative processing. I did what I was instructed and up to 10months now no decision. Is there any step I should take to compel them look into my file?

We need more information as to how the interview went and how to advise you further. I also had to submit tax returns after the interview and then wait for a month for my visa, apparently complications with my fingerprints. 10 months is a long time, Is there some other information that may have caused a red flag? What sort of IV did you apply for?

Why did you do this? Is this necessary for everyone to do?

I have pored over this forum and am still confused as to what visa category my children aged 13,12 and 10. would be in if I was a USC and petitioned them to come over and live with us. I am presently a GC holder but will be applying for Citizenship Jan 2014.

I know what forms to file and the process but am confused as to whether they will go through the same process as a K-1 or what. Please don't berate me for not looking because I have and is all very confusing.

Hey Gang,Made an Infopass appointmenmt last week for today to get an I-551 stamp in my passport, showed my NOA1 and Biometrics letter. Very dissappointed, I got a 6month extension as of today. The IO wanted to know nothing about my troubles. So now I will have to make another infopass appointment in August.

My wife was scheduled for biometrics on 1/30 but went in today and had them done early. There was no one behind her but we still got the head shake, "there's a process for changing your appointment," and "when you do this, you interfere with others who are scheduled." I repeat, there was no one else waiting! In the end, she did deign to let us do it today. Bless her put upon heart.

Here's hoping that's the last visit to a USCIS office for some time. God willing, we'll have the 10 year card by mid-summer.

Just got off the Phone with USCIS this evening I got some discouraging news when you call USCIS first tier what ever times they give you double them, I am not kidding, if they say 5 months expect 10 months or longer! Obama and his Amnesty act has screwed all of us doing this the legal way and guess who gets priority now not us who sit by and wait and wait and wait but the ones who got here illegally and they don't have to pay a dime not one red penny! I hope every one has lots of time and lots of patience because you are in for a long agonizing ride! Oh and just to let you know USPS lost my petition some guy named thornquist is having a good time with the money I sent. and you KNOW what USCIS said for me to do WAIT and when i said i should cancel the money order and start over she said i would not do that if i was you i asked why she would not tell me she just kept saying their favorite word Wait! Wait!

I (GC holder) sent in a change of address form AR-11 in November, The reminder to lift conditions was sent to our old address in late december. One thing we didn't do is that my wife (sponsor) did not submit an I-865 is this going to be a problem? I have just submitted my I-751 and have the present address.

Don't be surprised if you enquire after four weeks and find that your case has been referred to the legal presence department of the DMV, chat to Kaboom she is going the this at the moment and I believe she can offer you more information, incedentally she is also living in SD and is from Russia. You have to book a written test first BEFORE you book the driving test. and all that time booking whittles away your time on your I-94

I do not know. All I was stating what you need including active I94 and SS. This information is for people with active I94, SSN, etc.

Does anyone know (actually have experience) with the consulate in Johannesburg in regards to interview date? Approx how long was it for you to receive your interview date, packets, etc? My hubby to be is here in USA with me, we JUST received our NOA2 (15 Apr) and trying to figure out how quickly we should book his flight back to SA. He's here on valid tourist visa waiting and helping with our 5 1/2 month old son. We'd like him to stay here as long as possible then be in SA as short as possible (so much to ask for, I know )

If anyone has any input, guidance or direction they can provide it would be MOST apprecaited!

Dear jamie and Shane,

The petitioner recieves an e-mail from the JHB or CPT consulate with packet 3 instructions. Provided he has unabridged Birth certificate and police clearance and medical he can schedule an appointment as soon as he has all of those things described in packet 3. Scan and email packet 3 and send it to the email address provided in the initial instructions sent to the petitioner. At the bottom of the packet of instructions you will see an admin helper. Phone this number and they should send you an email in a couple of hours giving you your interview date. It worked for me and they are pretty cool.

I would like some advice please on a situation I have. I am a new LPR from a K-1 Visa. I have three Children in South Africa, ages 11, 10 and 7. I see from reading the guides that priority dates are a factor in bringing relatives of LPR's to the USA. The children's mother is not the most amicable of people and I know that she will not allow the children to come at such a young age. If we petitioned now would the priority date be at an age when thier mother would let them go?

First of all I would like to thank all of you who have gone ahead of us and given us so much advice. There are so many of you so please don't feel offended if I don't address you by name. We went for our AOS interview in San Diego This Morning. I am convinced that my theory is correct and you are being watched from the moment you walk in the door by all the surveillance cameras. We were ten minutes early and got called in right at our interview time of 10:15 The IO started by the tell the whole truth schpiel and asked for various documents. He asked to see originals which we didn't bring, he explained that fraudulent documents are easy to come by and if requested could we produce the originals..#######???????? He asked one or two questions that could only be known by someone close to us like my late mother and then he approved us, but he went through the WHOLE package. I hope this helps others who follow.

And that was not trying to be true, it was accusing others for something they might not do at all. It is an insult to everyone who came to the US for the right reasons, as opposed to you. I agree with the others here who replied to you as well. Like them, I too married a person and not the country... I'm sorry for you if your life sucked (in your opinion) where you came from, but I love my home country. I came here to be with my wife, not because life would be better. Sure, Hawaii is a little paradise, but it is paradise without any of my friends or relatives. The only two person I have here are my wife and my baby daughter and if they, for example, lived in the Philippines (I'm using this as you apparently didn't like it there), then I would follow them there too if I had to.

Then to mention, like "Mrs.Finland-USA" did, the health care, education, social services and all that. It was either free or just dirt cheap in my own country compared to the US. Sure, life is great over here in the US, especially here in Hawaii, but it was also great where I came from. I had a great job with a good income, a very nice home, nice car etc etc and I have sold all of that, and I had to say goodbye to friends, family, memories and so on, to go into the unknown. While I will not go into too much details, I lived the life over there and gave that all up to be with my wife. Eventually I arrived here with two suitcases, and two small boxes that I had shipped earlier, full of personal belongings. Other than that I had nothing anymore, while I basically had it all. Do you really think I would have given all of that up just to move to another country where I had to start on the bottom again while I was already on the top over there? Do you think I would do such a thing if I thought she didn't love me? As a matter of fact, the simple fact that my wife did not speak my language (while I do speak English) and the hard immigration laws in my country (since a LOT of people want to go there) were the biggest reasons why we chose to live in the US instead (we did look at options to live in my country at first). And believe me, if I ever break up with my wife, which I certainly do not hope for, then I would not stay here but I would fly back to my old country on one of the first available flights (where I would have to start all over once again). It might be hard for you to understand, but not everyone is disappointed in how life was in their own country, and certainly not everyone comes to the US just to be able to live in the US. You must really have the wrong priorities.

If you tried to be 'true' with what you said in your post, you wouldn't even be in the US through marriage as you apparently are using your spouse for a different goal than just to be with him/her. As a matter of fact, if you stand by what you posted, then this is certainly not being 'true' as it would mean that you have been lying to not only your spouse (unless he/she is in it) but also to the immigration officers. That is NOT called 'trying to be true'.

And then you thinking that anything we say here is not true, that is just a plain insult to any of us who came here for the one they love.

O common people don't be sarcastic give them a chance to settle their immigration problem, why did you get married to a US citizen just to settle your immigration status here in the United states even though you are not 100 percent sure that your spouse loves you,common look back where you came from people...everybody is accountable through their own actions.

I see you have been a member since the beginning of December last year. I am just curious if you would still be a member if you recieved the advice that you are dishing out. The maybe something specific to the Phillipines that Annabelle has to get before she gets on a flight out of the phillipines, but I may be wrong. As for your POE both of you can stand in the US citizens line and she will be taken to secondary processing.
