  1. hi meera,

glad u did send thechoice of agent early cuz if it reaches 1 year w/o reply from you. they will close your case..

i dunno your waiting time, maybe after you paid iv fee and aos fee, to be paid by your petitioner.. and documents okay already...the nvc will contact you sson for interview and medical..since your pd is current...once you finished iv fee and aos maybe 3 months you will be interviewd if theres no prob in your documents and affidavit of support of your petitioner will not have prob...good luck

    maria

I've received my packet 4 last week and my interview will be next month. Hope, to pass the medical and the interview.....

  2. Kung inapply ka ng mom ng hindi pa sya US Citizen, still you will be categorized under F2B which is you can still apply for an opt out. I know someone na ganun ang case....They applied for an opt out..

I myself too applied for an opt out, I was F2A before and then applied last year for an opt out at the US Embassy then got approved and now already received my packet 4 for an interview next month..

  3. HELP please. am new here. this is my case:

Mom applied F2B last 2004, I was 26yo then. She became USC 2007 or 2008. I didn't know anything about automatic conversion of visa category until last year. I asked her if we should inform the embassy but said not until my PD is about to be current. Sep 2008 I bore a child and after 8mos was pregnant again for my second child (born January 2010). Am still not married. Per September bulletin, it will only be about 2 more months before my PD is up (if the trend stays that way - 1year per month).

Questions: 1) Am I late to inform them that I want to retain my old category? 2) What should I include in the letter? 3) How will I update them that I now have 2 sons that I wish to be included in my paper? 3) Can I bring my sons with me? CSPA may not be applicable as I was 26yo when my mom applied.

Appreciate if anybody can give me complete or detailed steps to take. Thank you very much.

  4. My PD is March 7, 2003 and already received DS-3032 (choice of agent).

I also know someone whose priority date is 2001 but received a letter from the NVC to pay and submit for the AOS AND submit for the DS-230. I am also confused why is that the NVC is sending too early packets for whose PD is almost like 6 months or let say years before for some cases to be current. Like mine, I also applied for F2B under CSPA and was approved and right now my case is now current which is March 8, 1999, but still I dont hear anything from the NVC. I emailed them like thrice time and on the first time they replied they said to submit the AOS and then the DS230. But then the second and third time, they said that my case is still under review. Bakit kaya.. NAKAKALITO..

My Opt out under CSPA was approved last July 2009 and then last September I received an email from the NVC to submit the AOS and the DS-230. F2B was not current at that time so I e-mailed the NVC that my PD is not current. But the only reply I did get was that they will process my case as if it were an F2B.....EWAN KO SA NVC...MAGULO........................

  5. yeah, i did that last year when my mom naturalize... i send an opt out letter since my mom is a citizen already i prefer to stay in category f2b (im f2a before and age out for the record hehehe) so i said i wanna retain my case to f2b than move to f1...

they send me letter, asking documents including certificate of singleness from nso...certification that you didnt get married cuz f2b is unmarried children of LPR

so after those documents was ent they send me letter it was approved, i retained to f2b.

then after a year april 2010 i received ds 3032 letter. im waiting for the iv bill, my mom will settle soon.

hope u didnt get married, if you do, u will be in f1 category. u lose cspa procetion.

    protection i mean

Hello, may I know what is your priority date? I applied for an opt out last June to be retained under the F2B and was approved last July. My priority date which is March 8, 1999 is already current, but I have not received any instructions from the NVC. Thanks..
