I picked up my visa at the post office today (wasn't home yesterday when it came in) and everything is settled now for me to go to the US August 8th!!! YAY!!

I have my interview scheduled on July 28th! Just got the letter from the consulate! Yay!

I agree completely with you both....the website is useless since no one bothers to update it. All of the people on the February thread I'm on that have gotten their NOA2's so far have gotten them in the mail and never had ANYTHING change on the website!! It's so frustrating!!!

Ri- Oh of course, didn't you hear? The US government is basically synonymous with confusing! =]

Also it frustrates Johnny and I so much that they don't update their website! Why even bother giving us a receipt number if they aren't even going to update the site? We check almost daily for pretty much nothing, since according to them they haven't looked at our application since the 18th of March.

They won't change anything about the status until NOA2, and you will most likely get the NOA2 before they change anything on there. As in, the letter comes in totally unexpected. That's what happened to me and Jared and I've heard of that happening to others too.

Yeah, we've read of that happening on numerous occasions and are expecting it to happen that way. But still, the least they could do is update their site. =]

That I agree with... It's a nervewrecking thing anyway and having some updates every once in a while would be nice.

To give you a heads-up on how long it might take... We sent in our stuff the first time in January and got our NOA1 on January 14th. We got our NOA2 only 2 weeks back, so you might have to wait a little while still.

Lindsey, California service center isn't moving that fast right now!!!!!!!! because they work on the workvisa and not at the family based visa. BUt i think they are picking up to the family based ones again...hopefully!!

I always thought, an international birthcertificate would be fine??? But i need an original for NVC?????????

Sorry maybe i don't undertstand, but everything need to be in English isn't it??? So i guess we need international??? Please, who knows the answer?

My townhall isn't to far away, and i need to go there this week anyway, so... but when i asked for my birthcertificate, they made the international birthcertificate while i was there seems to me, its original because it isn't a copy of a copy....urgh, i understand it anymore!

From what I gathered from my NOA2 you need the originals. According to my parents you will get the original when you go to the townhall of the city you were born.
