Hello to all my VJ Friends,
On 9-22-09 I got a case status online update stating that my I-130 have been approved. It only took 28 days. I was thinking it would take at least three months. Now, I know USCIS will transfer the I-130 to the NVC.
My question is can I wait 45-60 days before paying the AOS and IV Bill? Is there an expiration date on approved I-130 that is sitting at NVC? Is there a certain time frame within which I need to pay the NVC fees?
FYI - The reason I need 45-60 days is because my wife has some exams in November that will determine her pass/fail degree after four years of college education. I would like to have her interview date in December 09/ January 10.
You friends are great. I appreciate all your help whole heartedly.
First of all, congrats on your speedy I-130 approval! Mine took three times long as yours. My suggestion like others would be for you to get on with the NVC process as fast as you can. Assuming you complete NVC by the end of October or early November, you probably won't get an interview date until sometime in January with the Dhaka embassy. You can use our timeline as a reference to estimate your interview schedule.
Best of luck!

I finally got the case complete confirmation today from an operator!

Thanks for your positive words Paris, and congrats to you as well. I hope it all works out with your case and hopefully you can flip your K3 to CR1 with an interview in october for your husband.

Thank you Paris, and I hope you're right. I'll be definitely calling them again monday to follow-up to hear the good word.

I just got the login failed as well, but when I spoke with an operation, I was told it's in it's final review stage and should be completed in a few days. I hope that's good news.

mailing in the hard copy is a good idea as they seem to process that much quicker than the e-mail.
Good luck!

I have a confusion can someone plz help?
we paid the AOS bill and now it is showing as PAID so we printed the coversheet,
now my Question is should we download the I864 from the site and send to NVC with all supporting documents , or we have to wait and NVC will send some intructions?
Follow the instructions here. Make sure you include all the documents with your I-864 as listed. Never wait for NVC's instructions.

AVR message finally changed "NVC received your documents on Sept 11....please allow 6-8 weeks for review" So, i assume they have everything now and they know my DS-230 is there.
I just checked the AVR and it says the same for me that they've received my documents on Sept 11th.
Looks like we are in the same boat
Hopefully this boat moves soon...Maybe they're fixing the engine. Let's all start rowing!

I called and spoke with an operator this evening and was told they haven't entered my DS-230 in the system either.

I called the NVC earlier and the AVR said I am missing something and they've sent a letter of notification which made me almost miss a heartbeat. I then spoke with an operation and she said it was because I didn't pay the IV fee which was generated yesterday. I told her I've paid the fee already on 9/4 as it was available for payment and it showed PAID on 9/5 (cleared from my account on 9/8). I also told her that they should receive the DS-230 package today with the document cover sheet. She then said it would probably clear in a few days then. I got all suspicous and logged into the payment site and now it has IV fee payment option available again for paymed which totally confused me. I then clicked on the payment receipts button which took me to another page and that has the IV bill payment status as PAID. Has anyone seen this? if so, any idea if NVC will correct this in a day or so?
Thanks.
Yes that is not un-common, give it a day or two to clear up. It will show paid soon on both pages, dont worry !!
Thanks Paris. I just spoke with the NVC again now and they confirmed the same and said this occured because I paid the IV fee before it was generated. So if I was able to print out the document cover sheet, I should be fine.

I am still waiting to pay mine... I can't think of a time I was more eager to pay a $400 bill like this! The wait sucks.

Hang in there, it should be coming soon...

I think Al Ahly Fan is referring to my approval. I just got the approval e-mail this morning. The feeing is indescribable! Now the NVC journey starts. Can't wait to complete the whole process! It is a true test of patience...I wish everyone lots of luck!
