I-751 instructions ask for affidavit. The language does not say if it is required or not and nor does it say if it needs to be notarized or not.

I would include one just incase. The whole point is to have as many as possible.

We didn't even have an interview. Just biometrics.
We applied for GC somewhere in November'09 and we got the GC 2-3days ago in March'10.
Good luck everyone.

i don't know where u are reading that i dropped of p3 and got interview date.
but you drop off p3 and wait for mail to come. visit mumbai website there is a page where (http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/interview_appt_schedule.html) they show you who has been scheduled. there are people who have gottehn their visa interview letter AFTER their interview date. so make sure this odesnt happen to you.
Surat is the district PCC issuer. so do you have another police station closer to your residence? if yes, then u need another one from there as well.
when u go submit your p3, they will check your docs and let you know about missing things. so u have some time to get missing docs.
if ur in india, it is highly recomended that you hire a local agent who knows this stuff and can assist you. they will fill your forms out, verify everything, etc. since they are in the industry, they have hookups and know hows to get work done. paying someone 2-4k Rs. is small price for avoiding delay/headache/ulcer

technically, it is illegal to drive a car even with a licensed driver.
but then you as ka question, how did all the 300+million US drivers start driving? did they ALL take driving lessons? or practice on Grand theft auto?
probably not.
u can probably assume if u have some previous driving experience (real driving not Grand theft auto), u can goto a secluded area... such as mall parking lot (at night), or residential area (at night), etc. i don't recomend driving more then 10-20 MPH - and ask your tutor to properly teach u. meaning stop at all stop sings. look both ways, show turn signal, pretend there are cars/pedestrians on the road. and most importantly, learn to start reading signs/numbers while driving.

he/she stated buying ATT in India. So that its activated while in india for US use. basically, someone selling ATT US cards in India - this is probably going to be illegal.
if oyu want to do this, ask someone in US to gift you a simcard - text messagaes are still pretty cheap for roaming so u could get by with that possibly.

lol. might as well take them to derby race or bumper cars

i suggest asking help from your local salvation army or something like that. possibly posting sings outside of where you live and puting a box for collection. you can also reach out to your local <ethnic> organizations/religious chapters.

rather then teaching your SO how ot drive, give them the confidence by hiring a private driving instructor. they'll bring their own special car with breaks on the passenger side as well and teach with confidence. obviously, you can take your SO for a spin in your local rural residential area or shopping mall or roads at night when fewer cars are there. new drivers should be well coached for atleast 500 miles, including highway driving, night driving, rain/snow driving. and don't forgte to show how to change your tire, check for air, fuel, etc .

My fiance received AP/221G for not having a PCC from her Local police station in Gujarat. At that point, Embassy had a statement on their website saying "Residents of Gujarat who cannot obtain local PCC may attend interview with PCC issued from District Police station'.
At interview time, she was put on AP/221g and given a white form with 2 check marks: 1) Submit local PCC, and 2) You are currently in Administrative Process: we will call you.
Is this normal? Since then, she has been able to obtain local PCC due to change in rules. Embassy website no longer states the statement about Residents of Gujarat who cannot obtain local PCC. She has also been able to obtain a local PCC. She went to embassy to submit the local PCC but they asked her to come at a later point when they will contact her.
I called DOS and they said the case is going through AP in Mumbai and has not been sent back to US. So they also do not have much information or influence over this case.
Thanks for your help - Please share your ideas. Thanks.

1) you can talk to each other on phones, Chat, email, etc.
2) browse vj together and discuss while chatting
3) lookup cool stuff on the internet together (vacation spots, hobbies, youtube videos, etc.0
etc. etc. etc. and spend time 'together'. my fiance my I do this often. sometimes spending 4-5 hours 'together'. it almost feels like being together after 6 hours of spending quality time together (and making valuable evidence for relation )

was there a resolution to this? what happened after your local police station refused a PCC? have local police stations in Gujarat started to give out PCCs? what is consulate doing when interviewer goes there without local PCC?
-
yes. you need one from your passport issuing city and one from your local police station.
where do you reside? are you able to get a local pcc?
-
I don't think they do put pictures on PCC. Ideally, you should carry other forms of Photo ID such as passport, PAN card, Driving license, School ID, etc.
I-94 missing expiry date / stamp
in Tourist Visas
Posted
We have a visitor in our family on a B1/B2 visa with a visa of 10 years. Visitor arrived and we were looking at the passport and saw that there is no expiry date on the visit. Usually its like 90 days or whatever but we cannot find any mention of it. All we have is the actual visa, there are 2 stamps (one from departure port and one from arrival port with the date of entry), the white piece of paper (I think this is the I-94). That white paper does not have any stamp or how long the entry is valid for.
What is the best way forward? Who can I call to figure this out?
