  1. so sorry...you are going through the same thing as me. :( i didn't think of doing an infopass appt though - please let me know how it goes! and good luck!!

I got tired of calling USCIS info line and listening to the same story over and over again "your case is within processing time and the system is not allowing me to put a service request for you". So this morning I scheduled my infopass appointment for this afternoon and was able to ask a person there what is going on with my case.

A representative was a person of "not many words" but what is the most important thing she put in a service request in their system.

Now I can just hope something will move forward within next 2 weeks (according to her I should hear back from USCIS within 2 business weeks).

  2. Hi everyone,

I just wanted to add myself to a waiting group of June filers.

We filed our packet on 6/29. My biometrics was done on 7/21. This was also a day when the case was transfered to CSC.

EAD and AP got approved around 8/17. At least I can work.

Unfortunately there is no move on AOS since 7/30!!! It's been over 120 days! I hoped that my case go faster after the transfer but now I think it took a detour instead.

  3. Hi All,

I am a K1 visa holder and I have a quick question about filling I-864 by my future wife.

Between marriage and due date for filling AOS I will have only around 15 days.

If she takes over my last name should she file I-864 and entire AOS application based on this name? Or maybe she still can use her maiden name since she won't have any ID with her new last name?

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Albert

  4. Hey folks,

Long time no see. Sorry for that but I have so much on my head since the begining of the year.

I just wanted to congratulate everyone of you for getting through the embassy process or being almost there! In case you are still ahead - don't worry it's going to be OK!!!

  8. I just wondered... how is everyone getting on? Its a bit quiet on this thread lately compared to the July California Filers thread... Anything to report? Any touches? My estimated date has been lingering around November 20th at the earliest. We're almost at the end of September so not too long to go. Fingers are still crossed.

I'm feeling a bit low today. I'm here in NJ with my beloved fiance (I've been here for almost three months over the summer). On 22nd of this month I am due to go home to the UK. I looked on my calendar this morning and its exactly two weeks today. This trip has been the first whereby we've been thrown into a 'real life' situation for the first time. In previous trips, he was self employed and worked only a few hours a week so we had plenty of time together doing things... But this year, he's started a new job (for the puposes of meeting the poverty line) which has kept us apart for 40 hours a week over the three months. Public transport is few and far between here so I have been in the apartment for most of the time on my own and subsequently I have occassionally taken it out on Russ. I just feel bad now, because reading other peoples posts today on VJ, some people are not as lucky as us to spend as much time together. One couple hadnt even seen each other in 17 months. I dont know how I would get through that!

I'm just going to miss him so much and we won't be reunited until Christmas when he comes back to England. Any words of encouragement people...?? How do we get through this?

Well as everyone on this forum can confirm it is not easy to stay apart every single day. But I think the most important thing is to stay focused on your goal! I mean just imagine how happy you are going to be in several months and from there you will be together forever and ever.

Me and Sara see each other approx. every 6 months. Since I lefft US in March 2008 we have met 3 times (2-3 weeks most). The bright side of this horrible situation is that both of us are very busy right now at our jobs (she's a 3rd grade teacher and I work as a Logistics Anaylst). Also time zones do not help us out to talk to each other but we manage to find some time everyday.

I am not sure when I see her next time. We are thinking about Christmas but considering the flight prices we better save up money for the wedding which is planned for June 20th.

This means we get together after NOA2 and Embassy processes (April-May of next year). Sucks but We are see the Goal!!!

I think you are going to be OK if you won't see your fiance just for few months. It's only 3 months! Stay positive and think about this time you are going to spend together again.

    Good luck to you!!!!

    Robert

  9. I'm so excited... we have been looking at our estimated date for NOA2 approval on our timeline every single day and it was estimated for the end of December, then it went to mid December and now, for the first time there's a mention of NOVEMBER!! The 29th to be precise! I'm so excited!!! At the rate Vermont is going now, it will all be a swift journey for everyone!

    Oh snap!

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between December 6, 2009 and December 20, 2009*.

    I'm not to November yet, but close! ;

I'm starting to feel the weight of the wait now... I mean, it's getting worse... *sigh*

    Welcome to Mike&Andi!

I think everyone is looking forward to seeing their date to push forward since Vermont is doing pretty good job. Right now my timeline shows the estimated date between Dec 10th - Dec 25th.

I hope this time will fly for all of us :)

My wedding date is set on June 20th and I wish to get to US by the end of April. Can't wait.

  10. Hi there,

I just wanted to wish good luck to everyone!

We sent our application by the end of July. According to Igor's list we are listed at 494 at the moment.

I hope this time will fly by and every one of us will be done with this part of the process.

Take care and I am looking forward to hearing from you in the future.

    Robert

    Witam.

I asked my mom who is Polish how to say hello. Hope this is right. Glad that you posted.

    Good job! This is right!

Glad to hear some Polish here :)

  11. <snip>

The OP is the foreign citizen, they mentioned working on J-1 visa.

Ah - I misread the info, I thought he was an LPR(USC) applying for the K-1 for someone...

    need more coffee....

Is there any good answer which will help me to get out of it?

Or do you even think they will connect 2 and 2 together ?

Good answer = The TruthTM is always the best answer.

Perhaps they will see it, but if you are marrying an USC, that is alot of clout on your side.

Yes I am marrying an USC and I am ready the to tell the truth.

I am sorry but what do you mean buy the above ?? :help:

USCIS tends to "forgive" things as a convenience to the USC, depending on the number of "negative factors".

    You should be ok.

Thank you very much for your advise! It helped a lot.

  13. Hi all,

I have a quick question regarding my employment history in US.

My fiancee is going to file in the I-129F packet soon and I am filling out the G-325A forms where I need to state previous employers.

In the past I have worked in US during my J-1 visa internship for one compony for 18 months. During this time I have found another employer and worked there too (carried 2 jobs). I paid taxes in both places and everything by law was done correctly. My concern is that according to J-1 visa instructions I was not eligible to work for second employer.

Does it matter if I put this second employer on G-325A form? Or maybe I should not list it there because they will dig it out as illegal employment or something?

I will appreciate your comments on this one and looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thx
