- would NOT deny you outrightly, I mean.
thank you! we already submitted our AOS two months ago and included a cosponsor to make sure there will be no problems
-
thanks for all the help guys!

Why do you have until Friday? there is no deadline for filing AOS....
there's none? i thought you had to submit your AOS before your K-1 visa expires...

hi. i just wanted to ask, in the I-864 form, if the sponsor is unemployed since march 31, 2010, what will he write on the current annual income question? and as i have read in some threads, unemployment benefits are counted as income (although i know it is a temporary income and should not rely on it). does it mean you can include the unemployment checks you get every week in the affidavit of support? is it advisable to do that or will it be a problem? please help guys we have until friday to send our AOS!

how did you do with the interview? Well I guess you did great!! Congrats in advance!! What did they ask? Just curious since my fiancee will be interview next month, tenatively!!.... Congrats
thanks! yes i did pass
with lots of prayer, i'm sure your fiancee will too.
they asked me quite a few questions. these are the ones i can remember, in random order:
- where and when did i meet him
- my fiance's job
- why/how did i decide i was going to marry him after being together for such a short time
- how did i know he loves me
- what kind of wedding are we planning to have, in a church or courthouse (i answered courthouse but i said we are planning to have a church wedding too)
- when are we planning to have the church wedding
- why didn't we get married when he was here
- was he married before
- does he have a child
- how old is his child
- have i talked/do i talk to his child
- how old is my fiance
that's all i can remember right now. the only thing they took from me are my original birth cert, original CENOMAR, original NBI clearance, and the affidavit of support. my affidavit of support file contained the I-134 form, 3 years of tax transcripts and their W2s, most recent W2 with the form 1040, 3 most recent pay stubs, letter from employer, 2 most recent bank statements, and his most recent 401K statement. hope that helps!

can anyone confirm if the 156 or 157 will need a stamp or not ? or will the blue and white reciept suffice ?
just had my interview last week. mine didn't have a stamp and they accepted it. i guess the blue receipt was enough.

hi. i'm preparing for my paperworks too. i got done with the CFO seminar. they didn't get anything from me except for the divorce decree of my fiance. they only ask personal questions about you and your fiance/fiancee. they are actually very nice people. they said they also check VJ often to see what people's experiences are and what they are saying about them lol.
-
ok. thanks for the advice!
-
yes they gave me a blank DS157 form. but they did not stamp it nor any of my forms. should I be concerned? should I go back?

hi guys. I have a question. I just paid the visa application fee at BDO today. they didn't ask me for any of the forms (but I brought them with me). the lady just told me how much, made me fill out the bill receipt with my name, etc. she then gave me the blue and white copy of the bill payment receipt and one DS156 form. she told me to fill that out or I can also download it. I got confused 'coz I read here on VJ that they will validate/stamp (PAID) the forms (don't know which ones). so I asked the lady if she's sure she doesn't need to validate my forms 'coz I have them with me. she said no, I just need to show the blue copy on my interview day. did she do it wrong? do I have to return and have my forms validated/stamped PAID???? please help me! my interview is on APRIL 8!

thank you again! i got both from my fiance yesterday so i'm all set! i think i'll go tomorrow
do you think it's better to go in the morning or afternoon?
-
thanks!
good luck on her medical exam!
-
thank you so much!!! your walkthrough is really a tremendous help to me. now i'm more confident
oh yeah one more question pala. regarding the MNL case number. do i need to have a copy of the NVC letter or is it ok if i just know the case number?
-
hi! i know medyo stupid question pero i just want to make sure i understood everything right. do you need to have a schedule for the interview na before you schedule your medical? kasi SLMCEC will forward your passport to them after you pass your medical di ba. so i'm assuming you have to have an interview appointment na din. or else baka itapon nila passport mo at medical results pag natanggap nila sa embassy hehehe....

hi. i just wanted to make sure that i got it right. i will only need a copy of the NOA2 and a copy of the NVC letter that my fiance received? then, i can go schedule my medical and interview? did i get that right? or is it ok if i just write down the MNL case # and have a copy of the NOA2? i just wanted to double check before i do anything. thanks guys!

hi. i'm currently filling out the DS 156 form. on question #36, it asks "Has Anyone Ever Filed an Immigrant Visa Petition on Your Behalf?" my dad has been petitioned by his brother (F4 visa category i believe) and that includes my mom and all of us, his children. i do not really know what happened to that petition (if it was discontinued or still current). my question is, what should i answer to question #36? should i answer yes and write my uncle? or no? i really need your help. thanks in advance!
ps. i am very grateful to this site. it is such a huge help to me and my fiance! kudos guys!
