I'm sponsering my fiancee and her daughter. does this mean that i have to fill out 4 forms? one for each job and one for each beneficiary? so confused. am i the only person on earth who has this question? hehe

  2. many people who love someone and want to be with them don't understand how bad it hurts to be far from their loved one. Many of us here at VJ feel that pain much much worse. It is almost unbearable to believe that it could be so dificult to have a happy life with someone from another country. To have to wait months and months for a government to say it's okay for you to be together is quite a rough thing to endure. I'm many of us have felt like you do. But we all realize that suicide isn't a solution to anything. Humans can take a lot of hardship and still bounce back. It's very true that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. You WILL feel better. And someday you will be able to help someone get through tough times just by saying "I know how you feel". Love is worth waiting for. life is a journey and we need great failures in order to really enjoy the successes. take care. we're all hoping and waiting. we all need to talk and be heard. so thanks for helping us. :)

  3. I tried to use a service for our K-1 ,and it turned out they were just a group of folks looking up the same websites that i was. they knew no more than me. they sent me a pre-addressed package to send our i129f(which they messed up because they couldn't use adobe reader) the package was addressed to the Atlanta field office. I called them to question this, and they said that was right place to send it. Well, of course it wasn't the right place, but that's where I sent it...lost forever. This immigration help service's website was right on th USCIS website homepage! with a little more research on my own I learned all I neede to know. we're waiting on our NAO2 after getting the NAO1 on may 5th. no need to pay anyone to do this. in fact it just makes it take longer.

  4. My fiancee lives in Russia. She has a ten year old son. The father pays child support however has not seen child in six years. When contacted to sign letter of permission for son to leave country he refused. What are our options to argue this situation and do we absolutely need this letter? Very disturbing situation to say the least. Would love to hear from anyone with knowledge on this subject.

We had the same thing happen ,too. The father was the father but never a husband. He never paid child support, but still had the same rights, minus the responsibility. At first he refused to sign, then he wanted around $3000.00 to sign. Finally my fiancee convinced him to sign through many conversations. This kind of thing is very scary. you can do everything right, but without the permission, the child can't leave the country. This takes worrying to a new level. I truly feel for you. It feels like "checkmate". we considered going to court. Can you prove to a judge that the child will be better off in the US? can you afford fees and bribes? Just keep thinking and brainstorming. My heart is with you all. good luck

  5. hey all, first time here, but have been struggling with the ol' visa process for a while. Back in October my wife-to-be and her daughter from Peru got all of our info ready. I hired an immigration "help" service. they weren't much help. I had to double check everything they told because they just got a lot of things wrong. The worst was that they sent me a pre-addressed envelope to send our I-129f....to Atlanta :(. so our application was lost forever. And they said I should also send in a waiver for the application fee, which was dumb, because it would show that I couldn't be a sponser. So I guess it was good that it was lost hehe

anyway, they went out of business shortly after. So after more research, more time, and another visit to Peru, we got it all straight. I sent our big pile of documents to vermont and they sent the NOA1 about 9 days later. So our process began on May 5th. I have been checking our online status everyday for almost a month but we're not on file :(

I read here on a few posts that this is kind of normal. I called the phone number on the NOA1 and, thru some creative button pressing, actually spoke to 2 humans. they were pretty helpful. I was told that my i-129f is there waiting to be processed.

I had a question about the g325's, too. I had signed mine and hers but was worried about that after researching more. The agent at uscis said that that was fine. so I guess now we wait.................so we're waiting....................maybe 4 months maybe 6.......

This website has been very helpful and has given hope when things seem impossible.

    goodluck to all :)
