I would suggest the CR-1 - better than the K-3.

    WHAT's the difference?

    Hey guys,

I just got married on March 8th in India. I was told by US embassy in Delhi that I have to stay 90 days and then I am eligible to apply for my husband. So I stayed 90days in India and the day I went to apply for him they declared that they changed rules and Delhi embassy was not following regulation and how you have to stay 6 months in order to apply. Also, it takes about the same time if you apply in India or America. I am more than furstrated and very angry that I was mis-informed even when I went and spoke w/the attendant in US embassy.

FYI - I am an American citizen, married to a Indian citizen.

Now that I am back in US I am thinking what are my options? Can someone please guide me as to what is the quickest and most effiecent way to bring your spouse to USA? I really need help with this and I feel like I have wasted so much time. Had I known that those 90 days were no good I would have flew back to US but yeah... Anywho, I have not applied for my hubby yet but i was wondering if I should try visitor visa first since it will take a lot less time. Please help me guide as to the options I have.

    Thank you ;(

I am sorry that happond to you, I was given bad info about my k3 visa as well. :bonk: You will have to apply for a I-130, there is also an I-129 but the diffrence with the both of them is that the I-129 is a few months faster than I-130. But the the I-129 is more costly. I went with the I-129 and when I got to the States I still had more paper work and money to spend. So my best advice to you is to go with the I-130 and when you Husband get to the US it will all be done

Thank you!! I will do that :)
