thanks diannewalgreens, thx1138 & mikedaisy! i'll do the same thing..
Hi,
i just had my seminar yesterday...make sure to bring 3 copies of your passport, Immigrant data summary and visa. I brought just a copy of each document coz that's what it says in their website, but when I got there I saw that they want 3 copies. They charge 3.50 per page, quite a ripoff, coz it's normally just 1-1.50 php I got there around 7:30, registered with the Guard and saw that there are already a few people waiting. I think it's better to register early, coz I finished mine at around 12 nn. and oh, dont forget to bring a ballpen coz you'll be filling up 2 sets of forms.

hi...the same thing happened to me...the CO asked for hubby's updated Income Tax Return (2009) and the guy at window 37 gave me a registration form for Air21..I have a quick question if you dont mind..did you just submit the papers that they asked for? Or did you have another interview when you gave the papers? I'm planning to drop by the embassy tomorrow but I really dunno what to expect...

yes your daughter will undergo TST and the medical will take three days becuase St. lukes will wait fo the result fo your daughters TST result and if the TST is positive thats the time they will have an X-ray to make sure she has no TB,, just pray the X-ray is negative so both of you will pass the medical.
hi...
thanks for the fast reply...Yes, I'm hoping that she'll have a negative Xray result I'm soooo anxious I'm actually taking her to her pedia today to have a general checkup..just to be on the safe side. Thanks!

Hi everyone,
My daughter and I will be taking our medical exam on Feb. 16...I have a few questions though..Does a 4 yr. old need to undergo a tubercullin skin test? How about a chest Xray? I have read that kids often have a positive result on the skin test..is this true? Could somebody who has been through the process enlighten me? I'm very anxious right now...thanx

hello i had question about the I824 aplication for action on a approved petition. my petition was approved but there was an error on the approval notice, it said that applicant is in side of the united states and would like to adjust status here. and if i want them to forward my petition to the NVC i should file i824. i did file i824 in august 09. i was wondering if anyone else had to go through this? please share your experience and thoughts. im really worried. does it actually get approved in 3 months???? please respond
hi,
It happened to us, too...Hubby got so excited when he received the approval notice for our I-130 (mine & our daughter's) on August...he thought that all we had to do was wait till the case is forwarded to NVC. almost 2 months passed and we didnt hear from NVC , so I started bugging him to call NVC or USCIS..that's when he saw on the approval notice that he had to send in the I-824 so the case will be forwarded to NVC. It cost us an extra $300+ (for each petition)..and we received the approval about 28 days later.
If you filed in August and still hasn't received anything, maybe you shoul contact USCIS..they do answer inquiries thru email. Hope this helps.

hi everyone....
so here's my dillema: I asked my brother to have my DS-3032 (filled up and signed) scanned..when it came back it's in jpg format instead of pdf! Do I have to convert it to pdf, or is it ok to send it to NVC in a jpg format? I was gonna email it right now, but I only found out that it's not in pdf form...I hope somebody can tell me what to do

is this required for everyone?thanks...
Your title says I-824 but I suspect you mean I-864. Which is it?
I-824..it's the Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition..I-864 is an entirely different form.
-
if you do mean I824,
Purpose of Form :
To request a duplicate approval notice, to request approval notice to another U.S. Consulate, and to request notice to a U.S. Consulate for derivative visas to family members.
yes, this is what I meant. I just noticed that it is barely mentioned in the visa procedures here in VJ. I tried to search for the form, but I couldn't find it here..

is this required for everyone?thanks...

thanks everyone...i'm already bombarding NVC and USCIS. I hope we'll get results soon..

I sent an email to NVC the other day..and the response that I got (today) reads..."After searching our records, no
information was found regarding this case. Please contact U.S.
Citizenship and Immigration Services (CIS- formerly known as INS) to
verify the status of this petition." I have one question though...how do i contact USCIS? does anybody here has a phone number that I can call? Thanks!

I called up NVC this morning and the operator told me *again* that our case hasn't been received by NVC yet. I'm just wonderin' why a lot of people has been getting theirs 2-3 weeks after the approvals, and ours has been approved more than a month ago. anybody else in the same boat?
-
It takes 2-3 weeks nowadays for your file to get to nvc
1. You can call them at 6033340700 and select the option to speak to an operator, give him/her your uscis case number and they will tell you whether they have your case or not
2. Your husband can mail his DS3032 to them and select you (the USC?) as his agent of choice, in that case he will need to send the DS230 and accompanying docs to you to send them off
3. You send the 864 to NVC, you send this off before you send off the DS230 i beleive
i'm still a rookie, especially in relation the last two questions
but this is the understanding i have gained from reading through several threads
post #396 summarises the process beautifully : http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=3311106
2-3 weeks? I just called NVC to see if they finally have a case number for us..still nothing, though..good grief! we got the approval notice on August 5, and it's obviously been more than a freakin MONTH! What ticks me off is what the operator told me.." it takes 2-3 weeks for your papers to get to NVC, sometimes as long as 90 days. I suggest you wait till the 90 days-period is up." BTW, hubby filed on April...the long wait is soooo absurd, I just wanna bang my head on the wall till I get our case numbers (mine & our daughter's). Is this normal?

Over 20 views and nobody steps up to help?
I'd be willing to help, but I havent gone far as it is...and oh, it's NBI (National Bureau of Investigation), not NIB..

We weren't really expecting anything till the end of the month, but here it is! Hubby and I are soooo stoked! goodluck to all the other April filers!!

I actually called 5 days before I was supposed to attend,(that's what it says in their website: You gotta make a reservation 5 days in advance). The lady who answered my call asked for my visa classification, and when I said it's IR-1, she told me to go to the Guidance and Counseling seminar, and it's a walk-in thing and I don't have to make any reservations at all..there are two locations for this, but I went to St. Mary's Euphrasia in Katipunan (I forgot the other one:) ) You may go to their website coz the addresses and the map are there.
