Just wondered if we still need to pay $400 at the BDO as stated in the packet prior to interview because we paid already the $400 at the NVC..Is it the same from the NVC?

hi hello...I did the same thing too last year..The CFO thing was actually one of the requirements for renewing your wife's passport and changing her lastname to yours..That means adapting your last name so it will show on her passport..She needs to call the DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) in pasay city (where i lived too) they will advise your wife to attend the seminar to get the CFO certificate...This certificate was also required after you get the visa and will be checked at the airport on your wifes departure...

I understand how u were confused because i've been through that situation before too...So just do the seminar and ul get it on the same day and bring it together with the old passport at the DFA...
