  1. For question 25 on the I-864 it reads:

"I have filed a Federal tax return for each of the three most recent tax years. I have

attached the required photocopy or transcript of my Federal tax return for only the

    most recent tax year."

I didn't file a tax return for one year because I was a student with no income. I have a letter to explain that but I'm not clear on whether or not I should check this box or not. I wrote in the line for that year "see attachment".

  2. My Fiancee got her K1 from Guangzhou last week. I was there for the interview and will be in China with her and her family until Febuary. The whole thing seemed to go smoothly. I had no RFEs and the interview was only about 5 minutes. The consular officer looked through all our pictures and asked questions about them and about my family. I think we had a pretty good case though seeing as we both speak english and had lived together for awhile and this was my second visit to China. There is no way a reasonable person could say we don't have a relationship. I want to say thanks to everyone who took time to provide information about this difficult process.

  3. I don't understand the vaccination requirements for the K-1 interview at Guangzhou. The paper from the embassy says she must have about 15 different ones. She's probably had some of these as a child but there is no record. According to one doctor you can't get a titer test in Jiangsu province and they can't give multiple vaccinations on one day in fact you have to wait 15 days between any vaccinations. I remember the rather traumatic experience of having multiple shots on one day as a child so I know there is no reason you can't. My question would be if she can't get all these shots done in time how is she suppose to get this visa? Do they just give her the ones she can get at the medical exam and call it good or what?

  4. There is a few month discrepancy between the 230 packet 3 form and the G-325a we sent to USCIS. I'm not sure what to do now. Should we correct it with the embassy now or wait for the interview? Should we be up front or don't say anything unless they ask? My fiancees work history is more than a trivial concern since she was a guest worker on Saipan. According to the G-325a she was unemployed there for a few months which raises questions about her legal status there. Also on Saipan you're not an overstayer until your work permit has been expired for 45 days so there is a few day gap between the expiration date written of her work permit and the new employment contract. Is the embassy going to be aware of immigration and labor laws on a Saipan which is a territory of the US or are they going to think that she was illegal there? Are they going to care or treat it like a foreign country since Saipan up until recently handled their own immigration.

  5. So guangzhou is the only consulate she can do the interview at?

I don't have boarding passes or a passport stamp because I took a private plane there and Saipan doesn't require a visa or anything to go to if you are a US citizen. What I'm curious about is whether or not the drivers licenses are enough to establish that we were there at the same time.

Her address in china can receive mail but where we were living on Saipan there are no street numbers.

  6. I'm going through the process to get a K1 with my fiance from china and put together my I-129F packet (this website was an incredible aid) and wanted to know what everyone here thought about my evidence.

We met on Saipan and she has a driver license from there issued on June 4, 08 and I have one for me from July 23, 08 so I photocopied those plus printed my flight itinerary from when I left (no boarding pass) 2 pictures of us together and a photocopy of her passport page with the departure stamp from Saipan. I could get a notarized affidavit from a friend on saipan.

I also have a stamped customs form from when I sent a package to her in china and a call log from skype (i'm a little worried about this since it doesnt have my name on it, its just list of phone calls with the duration date time and price.)

I also wanted verify here that Guanzhou is the only embassy she can apply for the visa at.

Any information you can give me would be appreciated.
