  1. Why can't she claim you abused her? You think that people like this are always honest? Even without real proof, some people are such gifted con artists that they DO manage to convince police officers and even judges of such things regardless of whether such events actually occurred. And maybe she would have made such a claim against you if you had ever called the police on her. I have heard of such cases where the one making the call is the one that winds up in hand-cuffs and with an arrest record! The fact that she has not yet done this is to your great advantage! DO change your locks and DON'T be alone with her anywhere! Make your reports at an infopass appt. and then move on with your life. Brooding and hating does not hurt the person it is directed against. It hurts the person doing it. Good Luck!

Thanks for the good advice, I know what you say is true. I am just hurting still and cannot believe what she has done, a lot of backstory to this too... Thank you all for your advice. I'll make the report after scheduling at infopass and then move on with time.

  2. Thank you for all the replies, has given me some more ideas. Nothing about this is about revenge or anything, I always knew that it was a possiblity because there are bad people in this world. I just want to protect myself, no I never reported the abuse so no I cannot PROVE it. My mistake there but I loved her and did not want to send her to jail... I'll just keep talking with my lawyer handling the divorce and see if he comes up with anything else as well. It sounds like everyone is saying she has to have me to remove the condition and there is no way I will sign the paper so the only way is a forgery, so I will make sure and make an appointment.

  3. Thanks for all the replies so far. I have indeed contacted ICE, they forwarded me to USCIS. USCIS seems like it is just a phone bank, no one really knows what they are doing. They have a little information but they cant take a report from you. Would the local USCIS office be able to do anything? We are not living together and trying for the divorce I just cant get her to sign for obvious reasons, she can feel those papers really close. She will not be able to say I abused her or anything like that, she was the abuser I just wish now that I would of called the police on her at least one of the many times so I would have a report on file. She is the type of person that would do the AOC behind my back, that is why I want it reported. Thanks again and any more suggestions that may come up, I would love to hear them.

  4. Thank you to all my VJ'rs our there who helped me get married. After almost two years of marriage which included abuse on the part of my wife towards me, physical and verbal. My wife left approximately 2 1/2 months ago, her time period where they will take the conditions off of her permanent residency is coming up. Does anyone know if there is a way to report this since she is now running around with other men while we are still "legally" married and will not sign divorce papers which I think is just to prolong the process. I tried USCIS website, I called USCIS several times but no one has helped me. Has anyone heard of this situation. I want to report this so my soon to be ex cannot us me just to gain access to this great country of ours which she also claims to hate... Thanks.

  5. Quick question for you folks out there, my fiancee is currently awaiting the Varicella Vaccination in Nicaragua. They keep saying it will be longer and longer for the vaccination to arrive there, we have been waiting for around a month now on just the vaccination alone. So my question for all of you out there is this, my fiancee is eighteen years old. I just emailed the embassy and they said that she could get a waiver for Varicella, but because of her age is this right. I thought that I had read somewhere here before that she had to have all of hers because of her age.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  6. Well all I thought I would add that we received our NOA2 today, so everyone keep your chins up. I know how you feel but when you least expect it, like today for me mine came. So keep the faith, they are working on them as you can finally see because of all the March's that have been rolling in. Thank you so much for all the comments that I have read throughout the last few weeks since I discovered this thread, they helped me keep believing that the NOA2 was coming. Good luck to all of you in the coming months as you go through the rest of the process, and God Bless you in your lives.

  7. HelloWorld08 thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it.

I also wanted to share what I found on the American Embassy page for the country of Nicaragua:

Note: K and V visa applicants will not be required to meet the vaccination requirements at the time of the visa interview. However, they will be required to meet the requirements at the time they apply for adjustment of status with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services once they are in the United States.

    Thanks for the info earlier.

  8. Well the question I have for those of you that may have had this experience or one like it is... I called a local civil surgeon today in Houston, TX, they named off several immunizations that my fiancee will need. The one immunization that has me a little worried is the Hepatitis-B vaccine, that is a 3 shot series that takes six months. At this point we are days from receiving our NOA2 from the VSC to have our case go towards the embassy, so finding out now after waiting for four months is not a thrill. Will my fiancee be held their until the 6 month series is complete, or if she starts it their will the USCIS allow her to come through? If anyone has any experience with this it would be appreciated.
