  1. I guess the following language is in everyones first notice of action: "To best allocate resources, USCIS may wait to process forms I-130 until closer to the time when a visa number will become available, which may be years after the petition was filed."

YEARS???? are they just covering for unexpected delays or what - that language definitely concerns me.

Ah ok - yeah i did realize that just wasnt thinking along those lines - :)

  2. Count Me (Rusty) and my wife Maryjane (Jen) in with the april filers!! Wow i hope to learn more about this here - am sure glad i found this site. I have not had the best of luck - i started chatting with Jen in July of 2008 - visited her in Gingoog City Philippines in September 2008, went back and had a civil marriage on November 30, 2008. I had read somewhere (I know I did) that i needed an NSO sealed copy of our marriage certificate before i could file for our K3 visa but apparetnly that was wrong so anyway it put me off for several months which i really hate. But i was back in February to see my wonderful asawa and now I sent in the I129 App on April 12, it was received April 16, 2009 and i received the NOA1 approximately a week later but the notice date says April 21, 2009.

But i have a question for you guys out there!!!! Although my wife and I are already married of course her birth certificate has her marked as a male in error. WOWWW -- the philippines - go figure. Anyway we inquired what it would take to correct it and she will have to file a gender change petition and have it heard in court. The cheapest fee i have been quoted by an attorney in CDO was $400US. Do you think this will have to be corrected or since we are already married and they didnt do anything about it are we okay you think??
