I have a Chinese friend who is trying to bring his wife and son to the U.S. She is living in Canada because she was denied a visa. Does he have to do a separate I-130 for her and his son and also pay separate fees for both?

Jeff B - hei ! wei !
any news, mon ?
Hey Darnell...my fiance and me got married Sat the 26th of June. It was a very nice time. Now her son wants to come here and he has already turned 18 so after I get her I-485 filed then we will work on that.

Please fill ion your timeline, it will help us answer your questions.
How long has it been since your now-wife's approved K1?
Did you marry before the son was 18?
She got her approval in March and came here in April. Her son turned 18 on Jun 12 and we were married on Jun 26th.

I hope someone can help me. I just married my fiance whom I brought here from China on a K-1 in April. Her son is on the original petition but did not want to follow her here. He has since turned 18 and now wants to join her. I was told by the National Visa Center that he must contact the embassy in Guangzhou and they will send him the paperwork. My wife is afraid he will not know how to do this. Do we have to do anything here in the U.S or is it all up to him now? Please give me any info you may know on this subject. Thanks so much. Jeff

Can anyone give me information on how to bring my fiance's 18yr old son to the U.S? He was on the K-1 petiton but did not want to come with his mother at the time. Since he stayed in China what does he have to do now to come here? Do we have to do anything or is it all up to him since he is now 18. My fiance is worrying...please help if you can! Thanks.....Jeff

Hope someone out there has a suggestion to this. My fiance just got here last month on her K-1. I included her soon to be 18yr old son on the original petition but at the time he didnt want to join her because of school. He will be 18 in June and if he wants to come within a year do I have to do anything else or since he will be an adult is everything up to him? Thanks in advance Jeff

I went over to be with my fiance for her interview on Mar 18. We stayed at the Yangs apt and he and his wife were very nice. They went over all our paperwork with us for about 3 hrs and didnt charge us for their time. They said it all looked good. My fiance was approved and got her visa today (the 23rd). The apartment is right around the corner from the embassy..it wasn't the best but it served the purpose. Many ladise staying there for their interviews so we had lots of stories. All were alone and all but 1 got her visa. The one who was denied was so because her fiance wore the same clothes in all the pictures! Otherwise, a bunch of happy girls.

I met my fiance last April and we stayed in Shanghai and then on to her city of Fushun where I met her family and many friends. Since my return to the states I call her EVERY day...I text her EVERY day and have copies to prove it. We send things through the mail and she had talked to my family and friends. She is now waiting for packet 3 and her interview appointment. What worries me a little is I read where Guanzhou does not grant visas after only 1 meeting. My job prevents me from going more than once a year and the guidelines say must meet once in 2 years...so I hope that this does not cause her to be rejected. We are sincere and want to marry. Does anyone have a GOOD experience with Guanzhou? Thanks to all you reply and good luck to you. Jeff

Hi...have not been on in quite a while. My fiance is waiting for her interview appointment in Guanzhou. All I need to do now is send her the packet for her to take with her. A friend I met on this site has already gotten his fiance here from China as well. He had his mother write a letter stating that she had talked to his fiance on the phone many times and was looking forward to her coming to the states...etc.etc. From what I hear the Embassy was quite impressed with that. I am having a family member do the same. My fiance has talked to my Aunt and my best friend many times over the past months. Should I get these letters notarized or just send them as they are? Thanks in advance. Jeff

If you only do it this time, no big deal. If you make a habit of throwaway ticketing, I've heard the airlines can get picky. USCIS and immigration won't care which you have.
I used to work for Continental Airlines. You shouldnt have a problem. They really dont care if you use it or not...they got their money.

Yeah, I'm going to send four, just to be safe. It just seems silly that this confusion isn't accounted for in the form instructions.
On a related note, do you have to send in just one (per person) passport photo, or do you need a photo to accompany each of the form copies (for a total of 4 per person)?
One photo per person is enough

My fiance and I will have been talking for a year now online. I was just wondering for anyone who is a seasoned vet of the visa process could help me.... I have only been able to see my Fiancee once since we have started talking. Now, she has come to the US this last April-May and has her I-94 with a stamp and boarding passes sent w/ the I-129F package plus about 8 photos with me and my parents all dated and described. Will this be enough to prove a legit relationship? We would love to see each other more but the economy has been hard on both of us in the last year and international travel is a little too rich for our bank accts right now. I know it says you only have to provide proof that you have at least met in the last 2 years and it was hard financially just to arrange her trip to visit me here, I just worry that our relationship might be viewed as "For immigration purposes only" We really love each other very much and are willing to go through this visa hell together, we just are not rich and cannot just up and jet set around the world. What do you think?
hey...I know what you mean! I went to China in April and it was our first time meeting..she has never been to the US. I have enough photos of us together..along with boarding passes of a flight we took in China...ticket reciepts....hotel reciepts...I think that is enough. I would make some copies of emails sent between both of you also. Im new to this...very new. Good luck to both of you...Im sure it will work out.

My fiance filled out the G325a and everything looked fine until I noticed in the lower left corner of the pages. She did not send me the copies in the numerical order...even though all 4 pages are the same. She sent 2 copies of page 2 and 2 of page 3. Will it matter since they are all the same with the same information? Hope this makes sense to someone!

My fiance in China just got her divorce decree translated and certified yesterday and she sent it to me via email. It is ok to print that and use it or does she have to send me a copy in the mail? Thanks to all Jeff
If it is a clear and legible copy when it prints and IF the certification stamp, court filing stamp or whatever makes it "official" is clearly visible, then it will be fine BUT the translation needs to be an original, so kind of a moot point.
Thanks...everything is nice and legible but the certification stamp is red and if I print it out Im sure it will be in black and white

If you stay illegally and get caught, if I am correct you will not be able to return to the US for at least 7 years. I worked for an international airline for a long time and whenever we had to deport someone that was the time frame. Im sorry for what happened to you...but be thankful you found out when you did. Good luck to you always.I came to the US through a Fiance Visa. My fiance is a doctor. When I got here, we decided to wait at least before 90 days to get married so we would know each other more because though we've been talking with each other for almost 4 years, we've only spent time in person for a week.To cut this story short, my fiance had been seeing this girl whom he dating or have been dating for 10 years. Because of my work background, I am able to access information from him including emails, pics, call logs, sms's and other information which he is unaware that I have access to. So basically, this is not accusations, I have profs and picture with dates on it. The worse part is when they both flew to vegas 2 months before I came here. This is evidenced by dated pics and credit card bill statement and confrontation with him which he admitted.
I am decided to go back home to my country because I can't marry him because of what he did and his incapabilities to recogniize his mistake and make amends to them. I have given him lots of chances, tried to work things out with him and compromised for him. I have dealt with his repeated infedility to me until my few days before my visa expires. He is unwilling to correct things and that is why I am going home.
Is there anyway for me to stay in the states "Legally" without having to marry him? What processes would there be? If none, I am more than happy to go home and restart a life and hopefully get my job back.

First of all i just want to thank all the great people here at this site. For my past questions and my questions to come. Today im trying to find out if i need this G-325a form because i didnt see it on the uscis site or i have overlooked it somewhere. So if i have overlooked it could someone please help me with this ? Its to my understanding that i need to fill out this form for my fiance and myself. Is this right ? A total of four of the same pages ?? For the two of us. I will be filing in june and if i need this will this site update this form next month ?? Once again thank you and god bless
Im new to this also but everyone is telling you the right thing. You must fill out 4 copies and so does she. They go to different locations. You both must sign each copy also.

Hey all...I just registered so am completely new to this. I just returned from Fushun 3 weeks ago where I met my fiance. I am in the process of filling out the I-129f and the G325a. I have SO many questions but will keep it to 2 for now. First...on question 16 it asks for her name and address in her native language. Obviously I do not write Chinese, so do I need to send her the form and she send it back to me? She did make some post-it size notes for me with her name and address in Chinese...perhaps I could include one of those with my application. Second...is it correct that I must have her send me a completed G325a before I can submit the I-129f? I do not want to mess this up! Thank you in advance for your help. Jeff

My wife went to Guanghzhou with her mother for her visa interview on May 26th. She said everything went well but her mother was told to wait 6-8 weeks for her visa, thatit had something to do with the physical she had taken prior to her interview. That is about all the information I have. I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered that. They didnt tell her that anything was wrong so Im not sure why the delay. Thanks to anyone who can help.
