  1. Hi,

I came in USA as K1 visa holder and on the POE in NY I received a work authorisation stamp on my I94. The clerk said that I could start working on the next day if I wanted. Than I found the information here on visajourney that I am not allowed to work until I receive my EAD card. Why do they put these stamps and give wrong information? Have somebody else received a stamp like this?

  2. I went to the civil surgeon in Ft Myers, FL today. I called few of them yesterday in order to compare the rates - the cheapest was 145 $ for full vaccinations (the rates were between 145$ and 285$ with the different surgeons). The receptionist tried to convince me during 30 minutes that I needed to pay for the full medical examination (280 $) I am thankful for visajourney. Finally I was charged only 45 $ for 1 vaccination (my record was not complete) and for the transcript of the vaccinations record to i693 but I had to negotiate (at the beginning they wanted 80 $ for the transcript). It is sad that they are trying to tricks people. Most of these surgeons are foreigners, too.

  3. Hi,

I did not get a copy of my medical. I gave the brown envelop to the officer on the POE and all that I have left is one X-ray from the surgeon from Spain. I have a vaccinations record from my country, too. Does that mean that I must pay the 300$? I just want to have more information before I have to go to the surgeon here and be ready in case that they try to make me pay more.

  4. Hello everybody,

We received a RFE after 5.5 moths of waiting for NOA2. Another month has passed after our answer to the RFE. The instructions on the RFE said that USCIS needs 2 months to process the answer. This should mean 8 months of waiting?? Can we make a service request now (almost 7 months after the I129f) or should we wait until the end of August when the additional 2 months will be over?

  5. thanx everyone!

In another thread you spoke of moving. I am cofused who the USC is in this case but if the US citizen moved and did not notify the USCIS, mail from them will NOT be forwarded to a new address. Also for the poster above "Bill & Maria" (any relation?)

There have been several cases posted here where someone moved, the USCIS sent an RFE they never received (they assumed the mail would be forwarded) and never saw anything on the online status (because it is unreliable at best) and ended up having their petition cancelled because they did not respond. Keep the USCIS updated of your new mailing address, understand that it takes up to 45 days for them to update your mailing address and the mailing address MUST be within the United States. If you will be out of the country, make sure a friend or relative can receive your mail.

Bill is the petitioner. He has given his home address in NH and even if he has moved to FL and the update takes long, his parents would receive the mail in NH. Now, I will be moving here in Spain in July. Bill has called the USCIS asking about their advice on how to change my address and they have said that he should send the VSC a letter with my new mailing address. Do you think this update could take long as well? Thank you for your help :)
