I received my new card yesterday, November 5th. I wish all a speedy processing, sure know how it feels.

Sent response to RFE on 10/10, received a text this morning, to check my status online.

Online status says card production ordered on 10/31. Wait for 30 days for card. None of the status circle was shaded or highlighted though. God is great!

Thanks Nich-Nick, that's actually my prayer. I called USCIS as soon as I realized, all I got was to hold on for the normal 60 days. God is in control.

I posted this in another thread, but seems like none has an answer to it. I received a RFE for my I-751 petition, to which I responded yesterday. The problem is I sent photocopies of the RFE notice instead of the original, does anyone know what the outcome may be? I'm praying there would be no problem since I put the copies at the right place; on top of the whole pile. Thank you.

Yes, the extension letter does exactly that, it extends your status for a year. You can change your job, and travel, and do everything. If you want something more concrete, you can get a I-551 stamp in your passport that proves your LPR status.

Removal of Conditions, especially if your file is at the Vermont Service Center, is taking around 9 months or more. That should not impede your normal life in any way.

Can you get the I551 stamp if you recently replied to an RFE? As in my case, just sending my reply to RFE and may be changing jobs too.

I got an RFE dated Sept. 21, waiting on IRS for tax return transcripts. I will send back my response as soon as it arrives.

Being with spouses is a fair deal, but it does not erase the emotional, psychological, and other several problems faced with waiting this long. UNFAIR is an understatement! Some employers give you grief, you cant breeze through checks at airports, and so on. No justification for the oppression and logics would have dictated better treatment…

In my opinion, the MVA are very ignorant of all these obvious facts. Extention kicks in when the card expires as you are not required to carry the letter around until the expiration on the card. I will suggest you just keep your licence as given with the date; when you go back with your 10 year green card, they will pro-rata the cost and you only pay the balance for a 5 yr licence. Happened to me before I got conditional green card. (same MD).

In California, there is a minimum waiting period of 6 months after the divorce has been filed. You cannot get a final divorce (i.e. divorce decree) until at least 6 months have passed from the date when the divorce was filed. The tricky part is whether or not you need to notify USCIS that a divorce has been filed while you are waiting for your 10-year card. I, personally, don't know the answer to that question.

It would be nice to know the answer to that question. What if the beneficiary is in a state like Maryland where you have to be separated for a year before filing for divorce? It may be another two months or so before IO gets to your file. Tricky and mean indeed…

Please I need some help here. I had my DS-2035 from London but still need the Varicella vaccine, can anyone recommend a Civil Surgeon in Maryland/DC who would give this vaccine and transfer my vaccination record on to the I-693 without demanding for my head (money-wise).

Or can I get the vaccination cheaper somewhere else and then go to the CS for the I-693, whichever is cheaper, please I need help.

So I paid for my visa delivery yesterday around 12:30pm, and I tried to track it this morning and the number isn't working. So I called the helpline and they cant even find the number or my postcode in their system... And when I asked for the number for DX at the embassy, they gave me the embassy's helpline!! The £1.20 a min helpline at that....

I am not sure what to do and even though its day 1 out of 5 for the delivery I am slightly worried as to when its going to turn up as I need to have someone at home with my ID.

Anyone have any advice?

The invoice number you use to track wont work until a day before your delivery. I guess they only use it when they have recieved your passport from the embassy. About your post code, you need to call their customer services to change it to the right one before they get your passport back as the courier guy might have problem locating you. 0800 019 7847 is a free number for DX customer service. They will send you a text message between 3pm and say 4pm on day prior to delivery, so you might wait on that as well.

Yes you do need to send in all the DS forms with packet 3 and for the dates, at least you're sure of the months as the academic calendar is easy to remember, so just just put a date around that timeline. That's what I did and I didnt have any problem with it.

Please can anyone tell me how you pay the SMS courier service when you call them to pick your passport and additional document requested by the embassy? Do you pay on the telephone or pay cash to the courier guy when he comes round. Thanks.
