Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the encouragements
I went thru the same suff. K1 ...petition sent back to USCIS. Came to know that the case is closed at USCIS Californis thru then Senator Obama's office.
Rushed to Inida in a fit of rage like a mad bull angry at US embassy in Delhi. Filed for I-130 and went to the interview with my wife. Lots of photo and other evidence of on going relationship.
VISA APPROVED WITHOUT ANY PROBLEM.
Keep fighting and good luck and congratulations for getting married.

Nice commentary and description. You must be a story teller.
Have fun.

as i already said i need advice...not judgements.
and too add few things about myself....im a doctor, and i ve passed step 1 and step 2ck with good scores.
ive already decided to give up on immigration visa (as my husband can create problems later on).
i never married for green card.
but wat are my chances of getting nonimmigrant visa...if sometime in future i want to take rest of my exams in states and do job there as a doctor.
its quite a respectable profession in india and ammerica.
It is a shame that we hear these kind of dowry things even in 22nd century. Greed.
Shanti if you have passed USMLE part 1 and 2 with good scores then the clinical exam will be a breeze for you and you can get residency within no time. You can be on your own feet within no time. Just sit tight and contemplate on your career and family and talk it out with your husband. Hope he will understand the value of marriage.
There are lot of good Indian people here in this great country who help other Indians.
As trinket said you will have to get divorced before applying for a non immigrant visa and there will be lots of ifs and buts when you will have your interview.
God bless.

Time to raise a toast. Celebrate.

Congratulations and best wishes.
It seems if you have all your documents and evidence of marriage and on-going relationship it is quite easy to get visa.
Happy for you.

Buying a ticket before getting visa is a bet on a unhetched egg.
Buying a ticket is of less importance that getting the visa at this stage. Buying a ticket is easy like a klick but getting the visa is hard and uncertain like a blip.
Good luck and best wishes for interview.
God bless.

Ask your wife to call the US embassy or go to the embassy with her passport and the envelope with all the contents. They will reseal it and she is all set to go. Tell her not to make make the same mistake again. Get it done ASAP.
Everything will be fine. We are mortals and can make mistakes. Not a big deal. Even embassy people make mistakes.
To err is human.
Good luck and congratulation for visa.

Congrats to your sister and brother-in-law and good luck to your husband.

Best time to call NVC is around 7:30 PM eastern time.
In is the second shift and people working in second shift are very helpful. That laways worked for me.

When you bring over a foreign wife you have to sign an affidavit of support stating that you will support her at the poverty limit even if you divorce. If you don't have the prenup including a "waiver of Binding Affidavit of Support," and you divorce, she can sue you for financial support.
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.

Congratulations. The wait is over.
Best wishes.

Congratulations and best wishes. Just five months wait...lucky you. Enjoy.

CR 1 is the route to go. It is cheaper and takes almost the same time as K3. One less form to fill. And you get the conditional green card within a month of POE and you can travel outside US with your green card immediately after you receive your green card.
Good luck.

Congratulations and bet wishes for you both.

Congratulations. HAPPY FOR YOU BOTH.
