Got the two ap's in the mail today.But,she doesnt need them since she has her green card?

Not much of a complaint,just curious

How many of these things do you get?I have gotten 2 production letters for the greencard and ead.2 approved letters for aos,a welcome letter and approved travel.

If you get another production letter,does that mean the first card production is void?Trying to understand when i will get the real card in the mail and not a bunch of emails and letters saying i will get them.

Another email,card being produced! Says be here in 30 days!!

I am glad we didnt get a rfe for the whole i-693,i had the guy copy what was on the ds 3025.And sent a copy of the ds 3025.Maybe thats the key is to send both?

Still nothing on my ead since bio,last touch on aos was dec 28th,but i did get 2 touches in a row on my ap the last 2 days.

Since my case was transfered,does that mean no interview?

I just got off the phone with the IRS!I got a very nice lady that explained the best plan for filing would be to file her as a resident alien and file married jointly.

Fill out the 2555ez with mine and claim her income and then it would be turned around and taken off cause she made less than 93,000.The only drawback would be i would have to mail it in,instead of electronic,cause you have to attach a written statement saying you wanna treat her as a resident alien.

Well,she hasnt been here 183 days,no rental property,no source of income from the philippines.She was a teacher there i think her total income converted in american money would be about $3500.

I was just seeing how others were going to file this year

Here is the question!

My wife got here in Oct and we were married in Oct,we got that first ss#,that says not for legal work.So,for the purpose of filing this years taxes while going threw the whole aos process.How does one file their taxes?

I read you claim her income from overseas?You fill out some w-7?I really dont understand!

So how are my follow AOS people going to file thier taxes this year?

I called H@R blocked and they seemed lost as the show lost.

Our case was transfered, and from what i read if your case gets transfered you dont have a interview?

Its been 48 days since our noa's in the mail,and i havent had one touch on her ap, and the last touch on her ead was the day of her bio.But,we have been getting alot of touches on the aos.

I did send in a transcribed 1-693 cost me $60(was $50,but the lady never gave me my change back).I hope we dont get a rfe for it.

Should we be expecting some kind of info within the next 20 days or so?

Is it a good or bad thing to have your case transfered to the cali center?

I just back from the doc office at my local uscis approved doctor.To me, this all seems to be a scam.

When we made the appointment,the nurse told my wife she needs to take a aids test,complete look over and bla bla and it would be $300.When we got there, i had to burst her bubble,i explained to her all we need is for the doc to transcribed the info on the i-693 and seal it up,and hand it over.They kepted giving me a speach like it will be declined,and why risk it.I told them,why should she do all of this again, she just did all of this about a month ago.

I saw many others couples there,and they were giving the same speach.I think its sad these people scam these people with this.They charged me $50 FOR THIS SERVICE.

They tried very hard to give my wife a flu shot,i told them she doesnt need that.I told them i dont care if i get a rfe, i just want to file her papers,so we can get her ead card.And what ever shots i need, i will get a letter in the mail and deal with it then.

I just find it amazing, once you go threw all this waiting to get your loved one home, then you gotta go threw this.Its sad,sad,and more sad.But, i guess that is what you gotta do!

I am trying to fill this form out, and anywhere there is a date to be filled in, after you put the date in you get this black and white cross in the box that covers the date.

Is there a way to do away with the black and white cross poping up in the box?And also, it very hard to fill in the box with complete address and street name, its limited.

Has anyone else ran into these porblems?Or can i just go with the old form and avoid these problems?It says its expired, and i dont wanna wait for however long it takes to pull my file just to get a rfe for filling out a outdated form.

Ok, my lady got her on Oct 6th,and we went to the ss office and filed for her ss card.Its been 2 weeks since i was last there.So,today we went there,since we got married to update things.

I was told there,that since i didnt wait 10 days to file for her ss card, that we will have to wait up to 30 days for it to show up in the system.Then wait for a reference number and the card will follow 2 weeks later.

The whole time i was at the ss office they kepted telling me about homeland security and bla bla.So, i call up uscis,and asked what can i do.They tell me i dont have to wait on a ss card,and i can go ahead and file for AOS.They then told me i need to fill and send the following forms.

1)i-485

2)g-325a

3)i-864

4)i-693

5)i-765

And basically dont worry about the ss part.Is this correct?From reading on these boards, i was under the impression that you had to file for your ss card before you do the AOS.And then go back once you are married,and update it,but then it said if you do the go back after you are married you will be delayed with paperwork.

All of this is very nerve bleeding lol!

So, what should be my next step?

So, the best thing is to just wait for a couple weeks and hang tight.Dont rush it?

I guess i am use to the hurry up and wait thing!So, i will just wait a couple weeks,then go to the ss office,once you file for her card,then get married, then back to the ss office?

What do they do with the first card?

Or as soon as you do the first file,get married and then asap get back to the office before the paperwork goes threw?

My lady will land tommorrow,and the next day we plan on starting all the ss paperwork here.So here is my question!

Do we need to go to the ss office first before we get married?Or can we get married then go to the ss office?Or do we need to go the the ss office,then get married and then back to the ss office?

From what i have read this is what is needed??

1)3 copies of her passport

2)3 copies of her visa

3)a pass port pic

4)650 peso

5) nso birth

6)my birth certificate?copy?

7)immigrant data summary sheet(white paper attached to visa package be sure not to detach sheet) Call me crazy but how can you make a copy of this if you cant remove it?Or is this even needed?

Its been a long road,but its over with.Now,just waiting till she hops on a plane and start the whole aos and all the rest of the stuff.My advice to people just starting or still waiting.Its a long road and just be prepared for it.Your day will come!

Do they keep all the pics and all the stuff you bring? Reason i ask cause i would like my birth and her birth cerificate.If not, i would need her to go ahead and get another one before she leaves to come here.

On my 1-134 form i put the bare amount i would make for a year and i had my personal manager fill out the employment form request with the same number.But when you look at my last paystub, i exceeed the amount in both.

Will this be a problem?

Its hard to account for bonus and overtime pay.I made a letter saying dear embassy,telling that its hard to give a exact amount of pay due to bonus and overtime.I signed and dated it.

Should i do this?

Or just leave it like it is, and as long is the amount is over the 18,500 it doesnt matter what my paystubs show?

Ahh good this is what I was hoping to hear ... I thought Ocotober 29 was way off .. I knew it wasn't too long ago they were around 1 month out ... maybe we will have our interview early October than ...

Another question .. how many days should I wait to call the Embassy to set up the interview ... I was told by NVC today that our documents left the building yesterday .... however I did the DHL tracking thing and I didn't see any packages going to Manila on the 1st or 2nd ... so I am thinking the ship date might actually be today?

Wait about 4-5 days after they claim to send it,to show up in their system!!Then just have your girl call up everyday after.Its alot cheaper for her to call then you.

Oh i forgot, she has eight 2x2 passport pics.

I leave sept 8th, will arrive in cebu the 10th.Her med is the 15th and her interview is the 23th.

What is that ds 230 part 1 and 2? is that for a different process?I had filled that out, i read so much stuff till i turned blue.Kinda get your mind wired reading all the forms, and getting them mixed up with different filers.

They dont need my real birth certificate do they?She has it, but i was thinking of giving her a copy and getting my real back.

Oh, i hope that is enough time for them to send the results of her med, they person she made the appointment with on the phone told it was.And has anyone ever brought previous xrays,and med exams to the embassy and they counted them as real?She is a teacher and has to have a yearly, so she is bringing that paperwork and xray.
