  1. You did not know you need the medical exam with your application?

It takes a little time, you will be fine.

Have anyone had a interview and didn't get an approve or denial? I had my interview on October 6 and after it was over i was told that i needed to get my medical examination done by the surgeon they recommended, and then return it to the office. I am a bit confuse.

i did my medical exam i didnt do it with the surgeon that they recommended.

  2. So I had my interview today at the Denver office, I also noticed that there aren't very many reviews for this office or very many experiences so I hope this helps =).

My husband and I arrived at 9:45am for our 10:10am interview. Went through security okay, very friendly security guards on the first floor was told to take the elevator to the 2nd floor. Went to the desk and handed the security officer our appointment letter and he told us that he had to take the letter and to have a seat and listen for my name. The room was fairly full but very open with plenty of seating. We weren't called in until 11:00am or so. Our IO was very friendly and welcoming and took us back to her office. We were sworn in, asked about how we first met, and where my last entry was (was very nervous because I had overstayed twice at this point). She asked about my step son and if we had custody of him. She verified all the information on all the forms and asked to see our pictures and other supporting documents. (bank statements, joint loans, etc). She photocopied everything and handed back my EAD card and Social Security Card, and then told us we were approved and explained to us the removal of conditions (because we've been married for less than 2 years), and escorted us back to the waiting room. YAY. free of them for 2 years lol.

congrates i got my interview on October 6

  3. I just wanted to share my experience with everyone. We had our interview in Orlando, FL yesterday. We were approved & received an email at 5pm stating, "Card Production Ordered.":dance:

Our interview was at 7:30am & we got there @ 7:00am. We were allowed in the building @ 7:15am and went through the security check. We were instructed to go to the window in the waiting area and submit our interview letter there. We did exactly that & waited for about 1/2 hour before the immigration officer called out our name. Once seated in her office, we were instructed to take an oath.

She began going through our case file and casually chatting, not too overtly friendly. She asked us questions directly from the I-130 application. The questions were about our names, address change, birth date & place, etc. The only personal question asked was How did we meet? We had a disagreement with a technicality in our case. This scared us like our process is going to get jeopardized, but she said she would like to complete the interview before she reached a decision about the discussed technicality. Then she asked my husband questions like if he belonged to illegal organizations, or lied on anything, etc. Then she asked us for our proofs of relationship and/or pics. We showed her 2 albums of pics and she loved our wedding pics. Then she asked for other proofs so we gave her bills, credit card copies, home purchase together, car purchase together, etc. She never looked at them. She simply filed them. Then she typed something in the computer and turned to us & said, "I am going to approve your case. You will not receive a stamp today because the card processing has sped up & you should be receiving the card within 2 weeks." We were thrilled. She never even discussed our earlier disagreement again. She only took my husband's I-94 card.

The interview was nothing like we imagined. We thought we were going there to prove our relationship/marriage. But It turned out to be a meeting to verify that all information submitted on our I-130 & I-485 applications was infact accurate. It seemed as though her mind had already been made up before we even got to her office.

Overall, we had an OK experience. It was stressful to a certain degree, but with an excellent outcome. We did a lot of preparation & didn't need even half of it!! She did advise us that if we ever had a concern about immigration issues & weren't sure about anything legal or procedural, to not call the 1-800 line, but always schedule an InfoPass appt. at the local office for EXACT answers....

Please let me know if anyone has questions or concerns about your upcoming interview! Good Luck all! This website has an excellent group of folks who are always willing to help each other. Thanks Everyone for all your posts! :)

    Congrates on your approval.

  5. We used this one as a template: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Cover_..._for_I-129F.doc

Simply reworded it to fit Adjustment of Status.

    :time:http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=66714

WHAT VISA ARE YOU ADJUSTING FROM?

    Profile details PLEASE! http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...rCP&CODE=01

    i am adjusting from a F-1 visa

In this case file an I-131 too with the (I-130+ I-485) Though your F-1 may be valid, traveling on it without AP doc will get the I-485 application abandoned. You need to have AP doc in-hand before attempting to travel out of the USA.

You will also need to attach an I-130 and $355 fee, I-485 is based on the attached I-130. I-485 has "A" checked.

thank you very much for the example it would be my wife who signs it right?

  6. i am in the process of filling out my adjustment of status paper work i need some help with the I-485 supplement A paper i think i should have it because i work without authorization. Am i in great danger even though i submit this form with my other papers?

If you are filing for adjustment of status because you are married to a US Citizen then you do not need to file form I-485A. Any unauthorized work will be forgiven at the AOS interview.

As to the risk of you doing AOS I can not comment on as you have not given enough information about what visa you entered the US on and how long have you been here etc.

thank you for your reply i am on a F1 visa that is good till 2010
